I have paid and installed iWorks from disk do I now need to pay to get the app on my iPad

So on y mac i have iwork09 installed but noow i want it on my iPad so i sync everything through iCloud how do I do it

If you have a look at them on both platforms they are clearly different, just share the same file formats.
Apple does confuse matters by talking about them as if they are both the same.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I am using a 2003 eMac and am running on Mac OSX vs 10.4.11. I amrunning iTunes 8.2.1 (6) and not able to upgrade iTunes on this computer. iTunes is not recognizing music I have purchased and when I try to connect when it request me to I get the following error message:

Is this music purchased back in DRM days? I don't actually have any iTunes music so I can't test with my iTunes 7.5, but I know that without iTunes 10 you cannot even connect to the store anymore. I wouldn't think that would require an active connection to the store all the time, otherwise how could you play music on a computer in the middle of nowhere? Did you do something to trigger iTunes suddenly wanting to connect and check on machine authorization?

If this app was bought by your sister with her Apple ID, only her ID can update the app.

See if the app is still in the App Store. If so, you can download it. If not, it is gone.

I have an external CD player but the Macbook Air doesn't seem to recognise it. So how do I get my software from disk onto my Macbook?

I did not get the "This document is not recognised do you want to choose an application to open it with" error message. It's just that it is not recognizing any content at all on the CD in Finder. I have used this external CD drive before with this Macbook. I also tried to open the docs through Word and it again showed that a CD was in "Devices" as a "Remote Disc" but does not recognize any of the docs on the CD.

Any Adobe Desktop applications don't overwrite the older version while installation. They install in seperate folders. You can Install and use CS5 and CS6 on the same computer, even simultaneously.

Always backup your important data before upgrading to a new Mac OS X.
Lion doesn't erase the drive but better to be safe than sorry.
And run Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities). Verify and if necessary repair the startup disk before upgrading.

Please try the below steps and check.
Turn off any antivirus or software security program.
Download the update patch 11.0.10 manually from the below link and run it.

Cant install software from disk. Terminal window opens with a logon and bash message?

I cannot install software from disk & in some cases download.
If any software disk is inserted the terminal window appears.
The Disk has to be clicked to open the contents but install files or package files show as a blank doc and not the usual yellow package icon.
All that shows is a log on message in the terminal window, but nothing about install.
I thought Drive issues but the drive plays audio and DVD perfect
I cannot install:-
Office for mac updates
Live Interior 3D (managed to install from download)
ION Audio Converter
