I have had elements 2.0 for years, and yesterday while on my computer i saw Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 disappear. It was open, but i was on the internet, and just saw it disappear. I tried to open it as I usual do, but to do avail. I uninstalled it, and then tried to re-install it. So far to no avail. I find it in my computer, but when i click on it, it can't find it. SO ??? HELP! I use photoshop ever so much!!!

I was sitting at my computer and though photoshop was open, i wasn't usingi it. I was online doing some other stuff. The photoshop program closes on it's own. (I didn't do it). So i go look in my computer for it and can't find it. So i get the C'D out to re-install it. Presently I don't have the money to buy a newer version. I TRY to re-install it and since as you can see, i am not computer literate, i follow the instructrons and to no avail. I do find the 2.0 under programs, and then finally th 6.0, but there are dozens of icons and before there was one icon to click on in my list of frequent used programs, upon clicking the windows icon and getting that pop up. So i just quit yesterday trying to re-install it. I have thought, do i have a virus or "SOMETHING". for even here lately, occasionally i will be online, and my whole list of tabs i have open (3-5) shut down and then pop right back up again. I have avast free antivirus.................... so ????????

I have photoshop CS5 Extended but my motherboard flashed over so I have now purchased a new computer and of course wish to download another copy, I have my Serial No from my account and I have downloaded a new copy of the program, the problem comes when I try to install it as I cannot seem to find an unzip program that will do it as they are asking for file names etc which of course I don't have until I unpack it !! can anybody please advise what program will unzip this automatically bearing in mind there are two files with the download. Or is there a way that I can download without having to unzip?

This link shows that ACR 8.3 supports the Nikon D610 and 6.7.1 was the final version for CS5.

You need to download and install Camera Raw 6.7.1 for CS5. Once you have downloaded it, you need to install it while CS5 is closed.

I have tried reinstalling Camera Raw many times, and have tried to open many different raw files in Elements, and still get the same error message. Please help.

How did you try to install ACR 8.8. The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.

In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6. (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13. Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter. Download and install it from here for FREE: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890 Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use. That includes old versions of Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom. DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless. There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality.

What happens when you try to use the clone stamp tool?
It should work with the images side by side.
You can setup photoshop cc to be like photoshop cs2 was on your other mac, by going to Photoshop>Preferences>Interface and unchecking
Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking
And also going to Window and unchecking Application Frame

Hi, How do I export HDR photos made on a macpro with photoshop cs5 onto a flashdrive so they can be imported correctly into a windows machine that doesn't have photoshop installed on it? Already exported to a HP flashdrive but they do not even show up on a windows machine. Need that capabillity since this is for commercial printing. My wife's mac laptop only shows 3/4 of the picture the rest is grayed out. Adobe support claims it is a Apple problem. Love the finger pointing and hold me blameless atitude on their part. Told them creating a picture should be like gas that can be used in anybody's car, just not their Adobe equipped ferrari. Do I need to convert the file struture so it can be read by the window machine? How would I do that ? Any comments appreciated. Doug

I certainly wouldn't expect to read native PS CS5 files with all features intact and supported on a machine that doesn't have CS5 installed. Try saving the files as flattened (no layers) TIFFs before moving them to the flash drive and trying to open them on the Windoze box.

Unfortunately, adobe doesn't have photoshop elements 6 available for download, as far as i know, so your best bet is to either get an usb dvd drive or use an computer with a dvd drive and copy the contents of the pse 6 dvd to somethiing like
a flash drive and then copy the contents from that drive to your new computer.
Do you still have your older mac and it has a dvd drive?
You can share files between the two using airdrop or an ethernet cable.

That is correct. Your camera was first supported by Camera Raw 7.3. Camera Raw 7.3 will not work with CS5. You need CS6 or CC.

It all depends on your preferred workflow and your budget.
Using the DNG converter is free. There is no monthly fee. You use the converter to convert all Raw files from the EOS 6D to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5. That's an extra step every time - every photo. Some people don't like the extra step. Others don't mind.
