I have Photoshop CC 2014 but Photoshop CS6 launches instead.
I'm using the Bridge CC but when I double click on a raw file it launched the Photoshop CS6 version, why? How can I redirect the opening link to launch CC 2014. I do not want to uninstall CS6.
In Bridge select Edit from the menu bar -- select Preferences-- From the List on the left select File Type Associations.
Look down the list of file types until you find the one you're trying to open such as raw, dng, jpg, etc. At the right is a little triangle, click on it to see application options. If CC2014 is not listed, browse until you find it. Repeat for all file types necessary.
Good luck.

I installed Photoshop CC (2014) yesterday through the Creative Cloud app. Now, when in Lightroom when I go to "edit in"and select Photoshop CC (2014) and click on "edit copy with Lightroom adjustments", it opens Photoshop CC (2014) but my photo doesn't show up? My photo does show up when I click on "edit copy" or "edit original".
How can I correct that so that I can open up a photo from Lightroom WITH the Lightroom adjustments? Thanks!I'm having a similar problem, but only with jpg's. I have PS CS6, CC, and CC 2014. Other image file formats function normally with regard to the "open with" list. PS CC 2014 appears on the list. But with jpg's only PS CC appears on the "open with" list and 2014 can't be added by the browsing for it.
The curious thing is that if I have any of the three versions of Photoshop open, click on Photoshop CC in the "open with" list, the image opens in whatever version is already open on my computer. This is true of all image formats. No matter which version I pick from the "open with" list it opens in the currently running program. I use only the latest version so keeping it open all the time is an easy work around. I won't uninstall any of the earlier versions lest more file association quirks result. it would be nice to have this matter fixed. -
Any idea why is Bridge latest version not working when trying to open it in Photoshop CC 2014 ? (French version) ? When trying, Creative Cloud app will open to ask if I want to download newest version, which I did numerous times now.
Thank you

Shawinigan (QC) CanadaHi Eric,
Here's how a similar problem was resolved between PS and BR.
The issue was confirmed by ChunXiaYang at Adobe staff and solution put in the forum discussion on June 19 (no. 13). Here's a copy:
I have confirmed that this is a known issue before release. And the workaround is to uninstall and reinstall PS 2014. Then Bridge can be launched by selecting 'Browse in Bridge' in PS2014.
Please try the installation, and let me know whether it works. Thanks!
It woks just fine since I unistalled and reinstalled PS 2014.

I just installed Photoshop CC 2014, but Latest version of Bridge will not work when I want to open it from PS

I did this with a fresh install of the entire CC package. As soon as the CC packages updated, CC Bridge broke. Unistalled CC PS, reinstalled again, CC Bridge works, but CC PS updates itself again, and breaks CC Bridge.
You know... The whole move to CC has been a massive cluster... I've struggled with the CC packages for my entire subscription year, and now I'm 1.5 month away from needing to throw down another $720 for no reason what-so-ever, just so we can Beta test your really screwed up subscription services.

I installed photoshop cc 2014, but Camera Raw remains on Version 8.0. Update to 8.5 does not work.
Solved in this way:
Close Photoshop first, then:
Download the 8.5 manual update link from here: Don't run the installer, but instead just Open the zip file in Windows Explorer.
http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/PhotoshopCameraRaw8-8.0/8.5.50/setup.zip
Navigate inside the zip file to find the resources inside that correspond to the 64 or 32 bit Photoshop version that you're running. I assume you have installed the 64 bit version, so the rest of the instructions will concentrate on the 64 bit Camera Raw.8bi only. Here's the path:
setup.zip \ payloads \ AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245 \ Assets1_1.zip
The file within Assets1_1.zip, named 1002, is actually the Camera Raw.8bi file for 64 bits, just with a different name.
Copy 1002 to your folder on your computer where your Camera Raw.8bi normally lives, e.g.,
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats
Rename the old Camera Raw.8bi file to Camera Raw.8bi_8.0. It's important that the extension is changed to something other than .8bi.
Rename 1002 to Camera Raw.8bi
Run Photoshop and verify the Camera Raw version by choosing Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw.
Thank you so much! -

2 of everything: photoshop cc (2014) and photoshop cc, etc
I'm a CC member and recent update have created 2 of every CC application. Examples
Photoshop CC (2014) AND Photoshop CC
InDesign CC (2014) AND InDesign CC
Why do I have both files?
If I don't need both, which should I delete?
Thank youyou have two because they are different versions. new versions tend to add features but also can remove (or deprecate) some, and some new versions don't work with some peripherals/addons (until drivers and addons get updated).
anyway, if you don't need your older cc versions, you can uninstall them and just use the newer cc 2014 versions. -
Photoshop CC (2014) and Photoshop CC - what's the difference?
Hi there - i wonder if anyone can tell me whats the difference between the CC Apps that are dated by year - ie Photoshop CC (2014) and just plain old Photoshop CC. Both are showing up in my Creative Cloud list of Apps. Similar thing for Illustrator and Indesign. Can I uninstall one of them? Should I? Many thanks Steve
As per your choice you can uninstall anyone of the version ,. if you are concerned about disk space.
OR you may keep both version on same computer .

Can you add some information we may be able to help. Did you download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application and then install Photoshop CC 2014 from it or did you download and install Photoshop CC 2014 directly? What type of machine do you have specs and OS? If we can not help you will need to contact Adobe customer support for installation help. This site is an Adobe users forum site not connected to Adobe support we are users like you are. -
What do I need to do to have this option available to me?
That's Photoshop CC, which does not have the Color Adaptation feature. It was discontinued at 14.2.1
Photoshop CC 2014 would have the version number 2014.2.2 20141204.r.310 2014/12/04:23:59:59 CL 994532 x64
in that first line.
So you still need to install Photoshop CC 2014, or if you installed it, do a search for it on your computer.

Here in France, it's getting late, 9.45 PM, that is 12 hours after the first crash of Photoshop CC 2014 on my Mac OS 10.9.4.
Nothing changed on my computer, excepted the PhCC14 update.
Then I launched the app and it crashed right after displaying the workframe.
I tried and tried so many things :
Ashutosh.Nigam suggested me in this forum to change the permissions to SLStore & SLCache Folder, but it did not work.
Ali from french Adobe support told me to delete my Settings files, but it was not enough.
A girl with no name from the same team told me to update my graphics card driver, but, you know, I run the latest Mac OS X version and everything is updated, mademoiselle.
Stephane sent me a link to a huge page of things to do :
- Troubleshoot account-specific fonts, but there wasn't any corrupted font
- Delete account-specific Adobe cache files but... guess what...
- Troubleshoot account-specific login items but... yes, that's it, I can see you understand me
- Reset the access settings on the user account's Library folder... oh god, that was fun, I used the Terminal and sudo commands
- I checked the disk and repaired all permissions...
I did all of these things because when I tried to open PhCC in an other admin session, it worked. So it could be an incompatibility between my session and PhCC. But, but, but, when I tried again to lauch the app in the second session, it worked fine but refused to quit. Ha ha ha.
Last call to the french support : "Désolé Monsieur, you didn't spend 2000 € for a specific help, but because you have lost a whole day of work, we will pay you back 2€. And no, Photoshop won't work anymore on your session. You have to move all your files to a new session."
It's unfair ! The software was running gently on my session, Adobe change things and I have to break everything on my computer, move every config from one session to another with absolutely no warranty that it won't crash again.
It's NOT what I pay Adobe CC each month for.
Very disappointed Jean-LucAnyone know how to read a crash report?
I can print with Lightroom, there is nothing wrong with the printer, or the file. But I want to print with Photoshop without a crash. Besides, Lightroom doesn't give me access to all of my print settings.
Hoping someone can help, I"m exasperated..... -
After Photoshop CC 2014 update - Photoshop is very slow (Windows 7)
After updating today to the latest photoshop cc2014 Version, Photoshop starts very slow and is not useable.
I updated from V. 2014.1.0 to 2014.2.1 20141014.r.257.
Starting Photoshop Needs 6 minutes (before 1.5 minutes). The menue and button reactiontime is more than slow, you cant work with this Setup.
Is there a Problem with the new release?
And please Adobe, dont tell me, my System has a problem. Did only an update on the CC2014 Suite via creative cloud. Old PS Version (2014.1.0)runs great.
After testing a few time, I recovered my System back to Version 2014.1.0 with Windows recovery and Photoshop works good again.
So whats wrong with the new release?
My PC config:
Adobe Photoshop Version: 2014.2.1 20141014.r.257 2014/10/14:23:59:59 CL 987299 x64

This is a Adobe Photoshop User forum your not dealing with Adobe here. You seem to think you are and your attitude seems like you not open to to possibility that your system may have a problem.
