I have photoshop elements,i wanted to edit videos,was offered 30day trial of the premiere version

after downloading,i had to resart my laptop.when i tried to open photoshop elements now,it takes ages to load and when it does,is very unresponsive.i have since found out that my original version has gone and am being promted on screen that i will need to pay for the premeire version when the 30days is up.when downloading the premiere trial version,i was not warned this would happen and that my verrsion of elements would be lost.

Just a further clarification: Premiere Elements doesn't mean fancy deluxe PSE. Just as Photoshop Elements is the consumer version of Adobe's professional photo editing program, called Photoshop, Premiere Elements is the consumer version of Adobe's professional video editing program, Premiere.
Photoshop Elements is only for editing still photos, not movies.

I have photoshop elements 10 recently bought via e bay. When I enter the redemption code, it tells me it is not active. What can I do please?

As above, when I enter the redemption code on the box containing my copy of photoshop elemets 10, I am informed it is "not active". I have contacted the vendor who says he has not had the problem before but so far has not helped me. How do I get a serial number so that I can download the programme from my CDs? Hi, Yes you are correct in iPhoto Prefernces, Advanced tab editing I used to have iPhoto and "Use external editor.". It changed to iPhoto and iPhoto Library. I have einstaleed PSE 9 and downloaded the update. There is still no lkink to external editor in the drop down box. Have I done something wrong inadvertently or is there a clitch? can you reinstal iPhoto. I am new to Macs. Every thing came preinstalled. it is the top of the range system with 16 Gb of rRAM, 2 Tb hard drive to top graphics card etc. I used to be on Windows PC. Have more than 27,000 photos on the system. Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

A redemption code can only be redeemed once. It is used to acquire a serial number. The serial number is what you need to activate the installed software. If you did not keep the serial number when you first installed, you might still be able to find it in your Adobe account online if you registered the software.

You would have to upgrade to the current version 12 by purchasing it. Adobe doesn't sell older versions of their software, so if you want to by an upgrade to version 11 you would have to look for some third party vendor which you are less likely to find for an upgrade purchase - and purchasing from a 3rd party vendor can be chancy.

I have Photoshop Elements 8.0 and I want to put a watermark on my photos, please help

Go to File>process multiple files. In the dialog that comes up, look for Labels, then in the drop-down for watermark.
Place the photos that you want to watermark in a folder (source) and open a separate folder (destination) for the photos once they have the watermark. This avoids overwiting the originals.
If you have a couple of photos to deal with, you can use the type tool to add the text-watermark. The text will come in on a separate layer. Position it to suit with the move tool.
