  • HT201303 when I try to do updates in the app store it keeps asking for my credit card info and telling me that my "security code is invalid".  it obviously isn't.  how can I fix this issue?

    I have 3 Iphone 4's.   One of them updates from the App Store with no issues.  My other two which are under the same AppleID will not let me do updates.  when I try it asks for my Credit card info then after i enter it it says "security code invalid".   Has anyone else had this issue and how have you fixed it?

    If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
    It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

    FYI:  Some third party software can cause issues with the App Store >   Mac App Store: Sign in sheet does not appear, or does not accept typed text
    Apple is not responsible for incompatibility isssues with third party software.

    OK, let's try again. Wind is NOT a supported carrier. In order to use tethering, it must be supported and activated by your carrier for the iPhone. This usually involves an additional fee.  You will have to ask your carrier if they can enable it. Odds are, since they are not a supported carrier, they can not. If you want to use tethering, you will most likely have to switch to a supported carrier that offers this feature on the iPhone.

    Please note that there is a 15 minute window after initially entering in your password, where the password is not requested again. Once this time has passed, you will be requested for your password, and also to confirm the purchase by tapping the Buy button.

  • I have problems making in app purchases on my iPad. This is a reoccurring problem, though it's not every time that I try to make an "in app" purchase.

    I am having on and off problem with "in app" purchases. Am I doing something in the wrong order? I put in my correct account name and password. Is this a common problem? I also sometimes have problems with storage space. I know that I only have the 16GB version, but does anyone have any tips on saving hard drive space and managing and connecting my iCloud account to work better with my iPad. I know, I should know this stuff already, but please give me a break. I'm relatively a newbie at using and manipulating my Apple products.     Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here, we won't know what the problem is.
    What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

    I would suggest that you buy a visa or mastercard gift card and put a few dollars on it and use it to access the store.  Just add money to it before you want to buy something from the store and it will act like a normal credit card for you.

    You must have your iTunes and App Stores set to the same country that your billing information is based in (i.e.: must use a US credit card in US iTunes and App Stores).
    If you move to another country, you need to change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account. Otherwise, your credit card might not work as payment. For example, only German credit cards can be used to buy content from the German iTunes and App stores.

    Check your billing address information.  iTunes uses the USPS system to validate the CC billing address.  You could either try;
    1.  Look at your paper or online bank statement
    2.  Go to usps.com and look at zipcode lookup.  Enter your billing address, submit and look for any change.  A simple "A" versus "a" could make the difference.
