I have problems with arabic text in Facebook using Firefox V5

the problem is when i open the social website Facebook.com on Firefox V.5 i cannot read nor write in Arabic language because the letters are displayed separately and not connected to form words, although when i use chrome to open Facebook.com i do not face this problem.

Maybe check the value of the pref gfx.font_rendering.harfbuzz.scripts on the about:config page and try different values like 1 if the default value (3) doesn't work.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

Ajax requests of aspx pages from Firefox are getting the following error from the iis server (iis version 7.5):
Bad Request - Request Too Long
HTTP Error 400. The size of the request headers is too long.
From analyzing the request that was sent to the server, I saw that the request consist of only the viewstate of the aspx page.
I tried to disable the viewstate for one page and the server got the request correctly.
I do not encounter any issues on these laptops with postback requests from Firefox or when running the same application with IE8.

Sometimes that means that the page address sent is loo long.
Check the link address you are using.

Make sure your document language is properly set to Arabic in Word. Just typing Arabic and the document actuall being Arabic are two different things. Mismatches affect Unicode ranges, resulting in the wrong characters being copied to the clipboard. In AI, check the substitution options on the text palette and glyph palette as well as your global glyph protection pref.

I am using Firefox 14.0.1 and I have problems with my yahoo email account. I send an email, the receiver got a good version of my email, but when I see the same email into my sent box I see a differente text. When I use any other Internet browser, I can see a good version of my original email into the sent box.

having same problem here, over and over getting popups saying Windows Installer is, "Preparing to install," then, "Please wait while windows configures Itunes," then finally, "You must restart your system for the configuration changes made to itunes to take effect," etc. Do I have too many of the previous versions hanging around? Thanks!!!!

Problem with Arabic text in j2me

I am trying to print arabic text form database ( RecordStore ) on j2me screen but arabic text comes in form of ????????? whether on emulator or real phone, though my OS supports arabic normally

Since installing Mac Mavericks all my friends with Macs and I have problems with the cursor disappearing, only in Firefox, Safari is fine...

I have stopped using Firefox as nothing I have done has fixed this problem. I have tried shutting down Firefox and rebooting it, I cleared all my add-ons and then added adblock back (that's the only one) but it still doesn't work. I've deleted large files so that I have more space - I can't think of anything else that will work. I have spoken to four of my friends with Macs and they are all having the same problem with Firefox since Mavericks.

Hi thanks very much for your reply. I did a few things like delete my add-ons and I don't have the problem of the disappearing cursor (sounds like a Sherlock Holmes story) any more but it seems to have been a mac issue as there were many complaints on the Apple forums of the cursor disappearing since the Mavericks OS and not just in Firefox but in multiple programs. Looks like they've fixed it somehow!

I have problem with the GPS when i use the apps

I try to use diffents apps like Runstatic, RunKeepr, Emondo and the record after any running activiti it shorw me a no correct distance and no correct way on the map. Always is more than i did. Is a problem with the GSP of my Iphone ? How I can solvet the problem ? Thanks so much

that was useful. i tried to google the error, but the official extension forum did not show up at that time...it was listed, it seems to be a tabmix plus with colorful tabs error....i have disabled colorful tabs, cause its less useful than tabmix. thanks again for the help.

Problem with OPERATION TEXT(LTXA1) uploading using BDC For C202 Transaction

Hi Experts,
Im presently doing a BDC for the trransaction C202 (Change Master Recipe),my task was to upload the 'OPERATION TEXT' field PLPOD-LTXA1 which is actually Long text to an existing master recipe from a flat file during updation of the 'OPERATION TEXT the number of lines i was able to were 34 which we number lines on the displayed page and while updating the 35th line using the concept of bdc table control it is failing to insert the update text.
I used all the ok codes but failed to update more than 34 lines.So,can someone tell me how to update the longtext beyound it.

There is a better way of doing the long text upload in SAP. In your BDC, if I change the text editor, the BDC will not work.
Hence ,
Use function module " Save_Text" to update long texts in SAP.
Please check its FM documentation or perform a search for this FM in SDN for more clarity.

Problem with Arabic text with flash player 10 32bit under linux platforms

Arabic encoding characters do not show correct in the right form at all linux distributions .
note: with windows platforms, it shows arabic characters correctly.
this video contains captions and subtitles, in the attachement two snapshots,
First, show the arabic sentences in the right form with "swfdec mozilla" plugins.
The other, show the arabic words with "adobe flash player 32bit" plugins,
for example: Arabic font enconding cp-1256

in the beginning of the word " بـ ".
in the middle " ـبـ "
at the end "ـب"
isolated character "not in word "ب"
the word
كتب in the right form
begin from right with " كـ "
with adobe flash player

it shows from left to right and use only isolated characters.

32 bit edition.
For the current release version of Flash player 10, it does support
Right to left, But you can’t use a text field on stage and have it
work. When authoring the content in Flash cs4, you would have to use

I too am having this problem. On all of my linux distributions, including Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10, knoppix 5,1, fedora 8,9,10 flashplayer 10 is broken in the same way. It reports that it cannot find webcam, and the settings dialog refuses to recognize mouse clicks. I've poked around the web quite a bit and have not yet found a solution. I saw the problem mentioned on an adobe bug reporting site and their response was to close the issue saying it wasn't repeatable on their system. I tried to re-open it and my post was deleted without comment (I may have posted incorrectly or something)
Looking here and elsewhere I see that the problem is very common and I don't see any posted bug-fixes, or even acknowledgement that a bug exists. Has adobe lost interest in being cross-platform compatible?

I have problem with The text size during the last weeks.

My IPad 2 is a little weird. During the last weeks it seems it works ok, and suddenly text size, icons size grow very big and it takes me ages to get my IPad back to its original size. Is this happening to anyone?

Short of something that might be going on with the settings, have you tried a reset of the iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the button.
In the event that something wonky is going on with your settings you can try Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data will be lost but all settings will have to be entered again.

Problem with sending text messages replies

After update to OS 3.0 I have problem with sending text messages:
- I CAN send new text message to someone but
- When someone REPLY me, then I CANNOT send next message in conversation
- If I DELETE someone's reply from that conversation text message sends fine.

no my girlfriend, was useing my old N75, now she is useing her old phone last night and today. we have been texting with no problems at all. ..so i'm back in the iphone, and we're going to get her a new phone tonight,or she's going to use one of my other back-up phones till we get one for her. called at&t today to see if she could get an early upgrade before oct. just to make me happy with all the BS i've been through (10 hours or more on the phone trying to fix the problem). but at&t came through with their great customer satisfaction!!! NOT!!! so, gonna try and get her a good phone out of contract and see after hers and mine are up might just jump from at&t. very unhappy with them as how they handled this whole thing.
