I have problems with Gmail when I open it in Firefox. The button "write a letter" doesn't work. On the page it is seen as if the page is being downloaded but in fact not. As a result, I can't neither write new letters no reply to received mail.

-> If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains. See:

Some progess I see. To be honest, i would not waste your time with trying to connect using wireless.
You are likely to get poor connections and dropping out.
If its working using a cable, then there is no need to bother with giving me the network settings, bu see how it goes, because sometimes giving the TV a static IP address can give better results.
There is an example of a couple of powerline adapters on the diagram below. Just ignore the network switch unless you want to connect other devices which are near to the TV.

Hi to all. I do have a problem with my apple Tv. I can't play the HD movies that I have in my external hard drive which is connenected to my macbook pro. Some of them don't play at all and it's switching off the XBMC, and some of them are just starting for a few seconds and then is getting paused trying to buffering for a long time. The simple avi movies are playing with fewer stops for buffering. What is the problem? Can you help me?

Have problems loading and opening emails in gmail they suggest it be srowser I am using namely safari. Have no problems with safari in other websites.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now empty the cache.
Go to Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit then relaunch Safari and try Gmail.

Hi, i have problems with audiobooks, chapters from diffrent books stand togheter, the book is mixed with another book, does someone know how to fix this

If i synchronise one book there is no problem,
when I sinchronise more books then chapters from diffrent books stand togheter.
In I-tunes the books are not mixed.
In my ipod classic the books are mixed.
I use the latest version from i-tunes
I work with windows vista pro NL

The easiest thing to do is to make a playlist for each book. I have about ten audiobooks on my iPod and have the same problem with everything being put together in one long list. The iPod does not treat each book as it does an album by grouping each audiobook in one folder, it just lumps them all together in one long list.

Just had the same thing happen AGAIN. Suddenly - a blank iPlayer Desktop which failed to download new programmes. All previous programmes were still in the repository folder. This time the sequence I outlined previously didn't work.
What eventually got things working this time was to reinstall Adobe Air as part of the BBC iPlayer Desktop installation process - and not separately.
So:
a) Move iPlayer to trash.
b) Find and delete the following folder: Users/Yourname/Library/Preferences/BBCiPlayerDesktop.61DB7A798358575D6A969CCD73DDBBD 723A6DA9D.1
c) Find and delete the following folder:
Users/Yourname/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR/ELS/BBCiPlayerDesktop.61DB7A798358575D6A969CCD73DDB BD723A6DA9D.1
d) Find and delete the following folder:
Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository/cache
e) Find and run: Applications/Utilities/Adobe AIR Uninstaller
f) Empty the Trash. I found that bits and pieces of BBC iPlayer were still running despite having been quit and dumped in the trash - and so it wouldn't allow me to complete this part. Restarted the computer, then empty the trash.
g) Find the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository and rename it repository2
h) Reinstall iPlayer. It will tell you that you have no programmes to view. Quit the programme.
i) Find and delete the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository
j) Find the folder: Users/Yourname/Movies/BBC iPlayer/repository2 and rename it to repository.
k) Relaunch iPlayer
It would be terribly nice if the BBC or Adobe stopped buggering about with this . . .

If you're getting prompts that say something like this:
To view this web content, you need to install the Java Runtime Environment
then the Apple Java runtime is not installed. Some third-party web plugin is installed that depends on Apple Java.
You may have installed the Oracle Java runtime, which is different. Neither installing nor removing the Oracle Java will have any effect on the prompts. The only thing that will stop the prompts is either to install Apple Java, or to remove the web plugin that depends on it, as I wrote earlier. I don't know all the possible plugins that might be involved, but I mentioned a couple of common ones.
Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
I never install system modifications myself, and except as stated in this comment, I don't know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find that information.
Here are some general guidelines to get you started. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickMyMac” (a hypothetical example.) First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickmymac.com. Back up all data before making any changes.

If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" such as "AppCleaner" and the like that purport to remove software.

Problems with homepage when re-opening Safari

Whenever I quit Safari, then re-open, Safari re-opens with the same sites I was on when I quit. How do I change the settings to where Safari re-opens with the default homepage?

Hold down the Shift key while you click on the Safari Dock icon to launch the app. This bypasses the new feature in Lion that "restores" many of its apps in their "last used" state.
You can also close any app under its Menu while holding down the Option key. This changes the "Quit" menu to "Quit and Discard Windows".
