It is normal for it to get warm when it's being used, especially if it is hot outside. It can even get uncomfortably warm. As long as it is not causing you physical harm (as in giving you burns) or displaying a temperature warning, then it's normal behavior. It's like taking your laptop outside and using it. Except the laptop will probably burn you.

  • I HAVE PROBLEM WITH IPHONE MIC

I HAVE PROBLEM WITH IPHONE MIC

    Hi Modular747,
I admit that I cannot be sure that we have the same problem.
But saying that it is not likely to be a design issue (or an issue for a specific batch) because you know 30 people without this issue, is also not really sustaining....
The specific issue is that the mic is not working when having a phone call, but that it is working with other apps (like voicerecording) also putting the phone on the speaker works.
Obviously you are a experienced moderator of this forum and you might even have connections within Apple Support. So in spite of reprimand me, it would be nice to get a solution for this issue, which apperently many iPhone4 users suffer reading these posts....

hi, guys. I have some problems with my ipad. It has been switched off and it does not respond on any my actions

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Sorry, but the warranty for the phone is only valid in the country where you bought the device, and you can't send it in, Apple does not ship internationally.
Has the phone been officially unlocked? Only the carrier can unlock an iPhone.

Unless your iPad has been jailbroken, it can't be "hacked", and there are no known viruses or malware.

  • Problems with regular Texting since iOS 7.0.3

Hello, I have an iPhone 5s recently upgraded to iOS 7.0.3 via OTA update. I never use iMessage, I have an unlimited text plan, so I always have used SMS with everyone. However, after this last update, I have problems with regular SMS. I can send SMS to everyone as usual, but can only get text messages from some-all of them using iPhone 5 with at least the lastest iOS6 version. I have noticed then only way to text them now is to turn on iMessage, otherwise I keep missing their replies. These are people, that until the last upgrade, I was texting with on a regular basis with no problems using plain SMS with iMessage option OFF. Contrary to most, I don't want to use iMessage but rather use regular carrier provided SMS.
For instance, both my son and daughter use an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 (but not the latest patch 7.0.3) installed, I can text with my son OK, but can't get any texts from my daughter, can only communicate with her using iMessage-BTW, we are all on the same network on a family plan. Can't understand this at all. Since I can SMS with some, but not others I don't think this is a problem with my carrier but rather a problem with my phone since the update to 7.0.3, and they say I am the only one they have problem with texting with and I am the only one on the new software version.
Anyone else has noticed this issue.

I wonder if this may have something to do with iMessage on my Macs. Recently updated to Maverirks and the iMessage app on my Macs was set up to my email and mobile phone (it wasn't before). I wonder if this is so, then whoever I send an SMS to that has iMessage on and replies back, will be picked up by iMessage since is turned on on my Mac, since replies go to the Mac but not my phone. If the sender has iMessage off, I get the SMS fine.

  • Problems with iPhone 4s since the IOS 6 update

I've had nothing but problems with the IOS 6 update! The day after the update my camera started to slowly go out. I open my camera ap and the "lens cap" appears and then it sits for a few seconds and takes me back to my home screen. Annoying yes, but not the end of the world. But today I wanted to break my phone in half. I started to dial my brother's phone number and before I keyed the last two digits of his number my phone decided to call the number on it's own. I have yet get that off my screen. I can no longer make or receive any calls. When my phone is locked instead of my screen saver appearing my phone displays a screen that looks as though as my husband is trying to call me with his caller id photo- I swipe to "answer" it and it reverts back to the phone screen with keypad and the half dialed cell phone number of my brother! All calls are going straight to voicemail. When I leave the phone ap the green bar appears at the top of the screen and says "tap to return to call". If you tap to return to the call - there it is again-the half dialed number of my brother. I'm losing my mind and so frustrated. I put it into airplane mode hoping to "refresh" it and it still does it in airplane mode. I've never had to reset it and I'm not sure what option of resets to pick. Any advice is welcomed because I'm lost at this point.

Try to reset the phone. Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time. When the Apple logo appears on the screen, you can release the buttons and wait for the device to reboot. No data is lost during ths process.

  • Problems with iPhone 5 and IOS 7

Since yesterday my iPHone 5 has been turning off and would only turn back on when I connect it to the charger. It has been doing that since this morning which lead me to restore the phone. First I tried restoring it to my latest backup and that didn't work. Then I tried restoring it as a new phone, which some what worked, but it is not allowing the backup to restore my data & information or do anything. I started logging back in to all of my apps or use my iPhone but the phone keeps rebooting itself. Now the I am dealing with the phone turning off on its own and will only turn back on when I connect it to the charger except it is not turning back on completely. Now my phone will only turn on to the white screen with the apple logo, go black, and repeat. Should I just give it a day and allow Apple to fix the problem or had anyone found a solution that actually works. Has anyone gone to the Apple Store to receive help and was there any success in to fixing the problem? I hope this is not some April fools joke.

    Hello Alexander G92.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great steps for troubleshooting both issues you're describing:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Since it seems the white screen is the most current issue, these steps will help:
    Display shows a white screen
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the iPhone will not turn off, try to reset it.
If that doesn't work, try restoring the device.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?
    Contact Apple Support.
If that issue is resolved and the phone continues to require you to connect it to power to function:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.
