You have purchased Cloud storage. The lack of storage is on the iDevice. You will need to move/delete content from the iDevice to make room for new content.

apple id was originally disabled. I reset my password and can sign into my apple id account. But when i want to buy an app in the app store it says my apple id is disabled again.
It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account! -

I have an iPhone 4S. When I want to update an app, it asks me for a password for an Apple I.D. I no longer use, because I don't know the password for it. The rest of the places where my I.D. Is listed, like in iTunes, has the password I want to use. How can I get the phone to disable the unusable I.D. and substitute the one I have the password for?

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID. -
We have two iTunes accounts we don't want to use our old account cause the password doesn't work how do we just use our new account? The problem is when we update apps it will ask for our password to our old account and when we go to down load an app we have had before it wants to go thru our old account now do we only use new account?

Besides signing out of the account, you will need to delete the apps on the device that were purchased under that ID. -

I upgraded itunes. Then logged on to my account. But when I start to file/devices to transfer - it lists his account not mine.
Somehow itunes is associating my window log in with him and it lists our apps together (his/mine) under the library section/apps. I think I will end up with his apps and mine then he will end up with the same.

I downloaded ios 7 on my iphone 4s and cant play itunes from my iphone to my speakers through airport utility. it shows im connected thro wifii. i can play the speakers wirelessly from itunes on my computer so i know its my phone since ios 7 downloaded. even the icons on the song that turn on the speakers are missing. what do i have to do to get it back? Ive deleted airport utility and reinstalled it. i shutdown my phone and the airport base and wifii and restarted everything. nothing seems to b helping.
I just encountered this problem for the first time and stumbled upon this forum to find a solution. I played around with it a bit and it seems that if you slide your finger from the bottom up, you will come upon that new screen that will allow you to do various functions with your phone (put it in airport mode, lock, etc.), you can select your Airport from this screen and play your music wirelessly from your phone; at least this was my experience. It is very frustrating even to receive an email from itunes support telling me: well, if your code or card are not working call your bank, which I did and everything is fine, it matches with existing acct in itunes...
then I tried and tried and time after time I keep getting the same stupid answer "invalid security code"
I am tired of it!

ChapinaZI'm also on iPhone 4, iOS 6, and have exactly the same problem. I've tried resetting privacy settings, turning restrictions on and off, deleting and reinstalling apps. Nothing seems to work. The lists of apps in privacy settings are all empty, except for location services. When using Tweetbot the app is regularly asking for permission to access my twitter account, but even when I allow that, the app doesn't show in privacy settings.

On an iPhone 3G, if an app require an iOS higher than 4.2.1, then you cannot download it to your device.
Either use an app that is compatible with iOS 4.2.1, or upgrade to a newer device. -

I was looking into the issue you are describing and found an article that I think may be helpful for us here. It sounds like we need to remove ALL components of iTunes, and any of its associated services like Bonjour.

In some rare cases those files may be left behind.
