just purchased an apple tv using it with my HD tv im new to streaming on tv but im having fun with netflix. i wanted to watch PBS shows
& im in the US but it wont let me in. i got on the website using my smart phone then when it didnt link i tried my apple computer internet to open the pbs website enter the code & submit. tried 5 x it wont even respond, the pbs link still states i need to enter a code to watch PBS shows.?what to do??

When you add a gift card balance to the Apple ID, it's available for the Apple ID.
Probably best to create unique Apple ID's for each... this will also make things easier in the future as purchases are eternally tied to the Apple ID they were purchased with. -

Take it to an authorized service center or Apple Store in the country where the phone originated. Apple does not sell iPhones in Pakistan, nor will they ship them to Pakistan.

Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin, or in the case of a device purchased in an EU country, only in an EU country.
Unless you will be visiting an Apple store in one of the EU countries before the warranty expires, you are pretty much out of luck.

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
If you are using a sound system/receiver, make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of content? If you use optical you might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device? -

I bought the Apple TV as I have an iPAD 1st Generation, thinking I could pipe my iPAD to the TV. After messing around with it, and searching on-line, I find that I need an iPAD 2nd Generation as there is no app for mirroring for the 1st Generation.
My other issue is; dDoes the Apple TV 3rd Generation allow access to other computers? I have a Media Storage device but the Apple TV does not "see" it, only one of my computers that has iTunes on it...I have almost all my media in Apple formats, but cannot access the device. It only allows me to see the iTunes app on one of my computers...why can't I connect to other computers on my network with this device?1, you can't mirror on the iPad 1 per se. However, some (not many!) apps do support explicit mirroring of the app's content. Note that the fact that an app supports TV out via the wired(!) HDMI / VGA doesn't necessarily mean it'll also work over the wireless AirPlay. (An example of them is ArtStudio for iPad. 2, the ATV can only access iTunes Home Sharing. No UPnP (see e.g. http://forum.maccast.com/index.php?/topic/18215-does-appletv-work-withe-upnp-med ia-servers/ ), no Samba, no AFP, no nothing. This is why you only see the desktop iTunes' shared videos. -

The 2nd and 3rd Gen ATVs have virtually no local storage and do not store any content. There is nothing to transfer from the device.
Simply download the content to the desired devices. -
I live in Texas and am visiting my family in Georgia. I didn't travel with my iPad as there are 4 at home I can use. I sign my brothers Apple ID out in the iTunes Store sign in as myself and attempt to watch a tv show I have purchased and get the for 90 days you can't download anything form iTunes to this device with a different apple ID warning. Why can't I just stream this tv show on my brothers device since I have purchased it on my device and am logged into iTunes on my brothers device with my apple ID? What a pain in the as?.
First of all would not be streaming the show on his iPad, you would be downloading a purchased item on his iPad for free. And it is something that was not purchased with his ID. It was purchased with your ID. I believe that Apple does that to prevent users from giving each other purchased content without buying it on their own. That's my take anyway.

I have a MacBook Pro and an iMac . My wife has a MacBook and an iMac. How many computers are you allowed to install from one download. We both use Apple products and have our own Apple ID. Can I download Lion on her computers after I have both of mine installed? Or does she have to buy LION again using her Apple ID# ?
A single purchase of Lion will allow you to download it multiple times as long as you use your Apple ID.
If your wife wishes to install Lion, she must sign into the App Store with your Apple ID.

The concept is great if Apple could get it to work.Unbelievable. I just played the movies on every laptop around our house but Apple TV won't. How can they even put their name behind a product like this?
BTW our house has 2 iPads, an iMac, MacBook Air, a MacBook Pro, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, 3 iTouches, 3 Nanos and an orginal iPod so we are not novices to Apple.
