I have purchased Photoshop and it went through the download process. I cannot use the software, however. I keep getting a "Trial Expired" message & it will not launch from my desktop.
I purchased Photoshop CC and downloaded it. I keep getting a message that my trial has expired and cannot use the software. Have I missed a step, or is something not working properly?

TurboTax this year requires OS X 10.6.8 as the minimum operating system. It also requires the system be running in 64bit mode with OS X 10.6.8.
You can purchase OS X 10.6 from the Apple online store by calling them at 800-MY-APPLE, or you can order it online too. Install, run software update until no more updates are available, and you'll be at OS X 10.6.8.

I purchased Quick time pro, went through the steps above to install.
When I go to save the video save is grayed out and it says I need to purchase quicktime pro.Quicktime Pro will do full screen streaming videos that are compatible with Quicktime installed Codecs. If the video of the Olympics on the website has a specific URL to go straight to the video, then yes, you can call upon it with Quicktime Pro's player and then watch it fullscreen.
If the video of the Olympics was embedded such a way that you can't find the direct link to the video, then the limitation is how the webpage is designed. Thanks to Flip4Mac, there is now also a Windows Media codec you can install for Quicktime as well:

Although some video software like Elgato's EyeTV don't work with it yet. If you are using Elgato's software, don't download it, and rather download Windows Media Player for Mac OS X:

If the video is in Realplayer, click on the Realplayer Free button on the upper right corner of:

You can enter a dummy address and password if you don't want Real's offers.

Firefox crashed this morning. It will not launch even after being uninstalled and reinstalled. All I can get is a crash box. It will not relaunch in any way

I was browsing in Firefox v6.0 last night and all of a sudden it closed with no notice or error message. I have been using IE to browse for a solution and nothing works other than opening as administrator. Now this problem is only on one of my laptops and is fine on my desktop and other laptops so it appears to be something specific to my laptop which is running Window XP Home and Service Pack 3.
Some suggestions were to change the profile (did not work), end the firefox.exe process in task manager (not running in processes) and delete an xpicleanup.exe (not listed).
The only thing that works is to run as administrator but I have to do this everytime. Is ther a solution?

I have recently bought a new imac. Imported all my files etc. from my G5 using Timemachine.
Iphoto requires updating but wont!

Photoshop Elements 10 will not launch(open) from it's tile in windows 8,if I restart the computer then try it, it launches. but once I close the program and try to launch it agian from the tile it won't launch (open)
What going on ?You might unpin (Unpin from Start) the photoshop elements 10 shortcut from the start screen and then go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10 and right click on the PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe and choose Pin to Start.
And/or if you want an shortcut on the actual desktop you can use Send to>Desktop (create shortcut)
Perhaps the shortcut directly to the pse 10 editor will work better when using the start screen. -

... I should be able to use iBooks. However, I can't. When I try to download the app I get the message that I must upgrade to iOS7 - but then Apple's website won't let me download that either. So far, I have managed to download a book to iTunes on my PC, but I cannot get it to sync with my iPod, although I have synced music, a video and a few other apps. I cannot seem to find a solution to my problems with iBooks or iOS7. Please advise.

PS I also cannot get the app for Podcasts.Having the same issue here. I unfortunately purchased a book on iTunes, then went to download iBooks, but can't due to their recent update/upgrade. My kids iTouchs are all 6.1.5 , So I'm guessing that if you did not have iBooks previously purchased that you are now S.O.L. if you want to read a book on your iPod??
I am rather frustrated that I spent money on a book that they can't read.
Is there another app that will let them read it?
