I have random songs keep showing up in my purchased folder that I didn't purchase

I was listening to my music on my iPhone the other day when this song I never heard of starting playing.  When I looked in my app it showed the iCloud icon.  I then chekced my purchases tab anad there are at least 30 songs in the iCloud that I have not purchased nor would want to purchase.  I now have at least one of these songs on each of my iPhone and iPad.
Houw  do I get these off the iCloud and how do I get these off my devices?  And why would these songs be in my iCloud when I did not buy them?  This is a little concerning to me.
Lauren

Does anyone else, family member perhaps, have access to your itunes account?  Sounds like someone does.  You might consider changing the password to the account.
To change your password go to
http://appleid.apple.com
and click on 'Manage Your Apple ID'. Log in, and click 'Security & Password' in the list at left.

  • Random songs keep appearing in my library that i did not buy. why?

random songs keep appearing in my library.  i have never heard of them, nor did i buy them.  they are not in my purchased folder though.  does anyone know why this is happening?  i am pretty sure they have been there since i set up my itunes account on this laptop.

No, I have not deleted them, although I am about to.  Just wondering if anyone knew why they had appeared in the first place...? Does this happen sometimes? also they all happen to be in the "game" genre of songs. dont know if that means anything.

  • How can I get an album to play in order on Itunes?  The songs keep skipping all around to other albums that I did not want to listen to at that time?

How can I get an album to play in order on Itunes?  The songs keep skipping all around to other albums that I did not want to listen to at that time?

It sounds like you might have the shuffle button at the bottom left of the iTunes (the button with the squiggly lines).
If that's not the case, then maybe you just need to sort your library by album by clicking the album tab at the top.
Is your music in a playlist, or are you trying to play it from the entire library?

  • Hidden songs keep showing up despite being hidden

I have hidden tracks that I no longer want to appear in my purchases. The artist no longer shows up in the purchased list, only in the hidden purchases list, and yet a few tracks still show up on my iPhone (but not my iTunes). I have gone into the Music settings on my phone and unselected "Show All Music" - so most of my iTunes purchases don't show, but a few random tracks (both hidden and unhidden) still show. I really don't want these to show on my phone, and have no clue how to get rid of them. Any one have any ideas? Thank you.

The tracks that still show have been downloaded to your phone. I solved this by clearing the music off my iPhone. This will remove the tracks you want and also the tracks you do not want. You will need to manually add those tracks back to your iPhone.
Unfortunately I haven't figured out a way to keep tracks I've hidden off my iPhone and still play the tracks I do want access to. The only other option I know is subscribing to iTunes Match at $24.99 per year in order to delete content I no longer want... and I will not be paying Apple money for that privilege.
Its maddening, undesireable, and iTunes will remain unuseable until hidden purchases are hidden across each idevice.

  • Purchased songs keep showing up after being unchecked and deleted on iTunes library and iPhone, please help

Like the question says, I have about 6 or 7 songs that I want to permanently delete from my iTunes library and iPhone. They keep showing up even after I've unchecked/deleted them. I've used the manual option and selected the artists, genres, etc. that I still want, but the deleted songs keep appearing. I bought these songs off of the iTunes store I didn't use my iPhone. I don't have the iTunes Match option turned on my phone, nor do I use iCloud. I don't know what else to do besides manually selecting all of my songs and putting them into a folder, deleting the blasphemous songs that I don't want anymore, deleting my iTunes library and resetting my iPhone and copying the songs from the folder back into my iTunes library. But has anyone else had this happen to them? I've had an iPod for years now and I've never had this issue before. I'd really like an easier solution here, so does anyone have any ideas?

    The solution is Simple.
    - Goto preferences
    - From there select the 'Devices' tab
    - Now make click the check box close to 'Prevent iPods,iPhones..... from syncing automatically.
Click OK and your problem will be solved.

  • Deleted songs keep showing up when iPhone shows up in iTunes.

I deleted all my music to get rid of this album that I purchased on my phone. It has been added twice but it keeps showing up everytime I plug it into itunes. It is not on my phone. It just keeps the grayed out circles but never ads it. Any suggestions on how to permanetly delete it?

That's happening to me, too. Apparently, it's a problem with the update. I have been talking with an apple tech supervisor. he is nice, but has no suggestions. i went to the "genus" bar at the apple store. The "genus" there said to live with it, get a new phone, or just wait for a patch--which he admitted may never happen.
I have gone to my email acct. and i delete all the messages in it twice a day. it's a pain, but it keeps all of those messages coming through. have you found a solution?

  • Deleted songs keep showing up on iPhone 5c

So I finally did a rehaul of my music on my iphone. I had erased all the music and manually added 270 songs to my phone. Only problem is 65 songs that I did NOT want on my phone keep showing up... and some aren't even on my computer in my itunes! When I plug in my phone to sync and manually delete the songs, they aren't there, yet they still are on my phone. These songs are NOT in my cloud, and cannot be manually deleted on my iphone 5c. I am running on iOS 7.1.1. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Paul_ie86,
Try cleaning up your player. Boot the ZEN X-Fi from the recovery mode (instructions can be found here) and select Clean Up->Reboot. See if that helps.

  • How do i permanently get rid of large folder that keeps showing up in my Pictures folder?

I have a brand new 1.7 GHz 13" mac book air with 4GB RAM running 10.7.2 and the 128GB hard drive keeps running out of space. I found a folder named 437937936196438674 4.22.50 PM in my Pictures folder that is roughly 40GB and after I throw it out another one shows up in it's place.
I'd really appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Thank you

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software -- potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions -- they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are four lines of text in monospaced type, which are UNIX shell commands. They’re harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of running these commands, search this site for other discussions in which they’ve been used without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap in your browser, but each one is really just a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then either copy or drag it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
To begin, launch the Terminal application; e.g., by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search. A text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
Copy or drag -- do not type -- the line below into the Terminal window, then press return:
    kextstat -kl | awk ' !/apple/ { print $6 $7 } '
Post the lines of output (if any) that appear below what you just entered (the text, please, not a screenshot.)
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk ' !/0x|apple|com\.vix|edu\.|org\./ { print $3 } '
This time, you'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning.
    Step 3
    launchctl list | sed 1d | awk ' !/0x|apple|edu\.|org\./ { print $3 } '
    Step 4
    ls -1A {,/}Library/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Sta}* 2> /dev/null
Important: If you synchronize with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, change it to something like “[email protected]” before posting.
Remember, steps 1-4 are all drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste, whichever you prefer -- no typing, except your password.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • I had to create a new Apple ID but it won't let me update apps because my old account keeps showing up how do I stop that

I had to create a new Apple ID but it won't let me update apps it keeps showing my old account how do I stop that from happening

Apps are always associated with the AppleID that purchased them, you cannot use another AppleID with them,
So in order to update them you must use the credentials that were used to purchase them.
You can chnge the details (Name and Primary email) for an AppleID instead of creating a new one.

  • Showing data on a Desktop folder that's an Alais

I can get a number of files in a folders I create and situated on the desktop, but if it is an alias I get nothing. Can I change this somehow?

I think, this is not possible.
Of course it is a good idea, to work only with aliases at the desktop … in this case you may find a solution for you by "turning it around"
Uhh, difficult to explain (even in german): What i mean is, that you create a "real" folder at the desktop, where aliases of all new items are stored, that you drag on your alias-folder.
You can automate this with a folder action, that is attached to the original of the alias-folder:
Copy the source, open Scripteditor.app, paste it and save it as a script in +~/Library/Scripts/Folder Action Scripts+. Go to the original of your alias folder and choose +attach folder action+ from the context menu
<pre class=command>on adding folder items to this_folder after receiving these_items
    repeat with this_item in these_items
    tell application "Finder"
set asel to make alias file to this_item at folder "aa" of desktop
    end tell
    end repeat
    end adding folder items to</pre>
Where "aa" has to be replaced by the name of the new folder, that you have to make at desktop
This is just a suggestion, but it will give you the number of items.
There is another way. You heard about Geek Tool?. It is able to give you any information on your desktop. You could place such an information directly beside the alias folder.
Have a look at this tool!
If this would be a good solution for you, i think, we will find the right command to display the number of items of that alias folder.

  • Songs keep showing up on iPhone

In trying to figure out another issue (playlists not being synced correctly on my iPhone), I attempted to clear the music from my phone completely. I have unchecked the sync music box on iTunes, I have selected the manually manage music option, I have restarted and reset my iPhone, and yet there are songs (approximately 800 or so out of a library of about 1100) showing on my iPhone. To complicate matters, when I threw in the towel and just decided to go ahead and reload everything as it was, iTunes would not sync all of my music because there wasn't enough space. Evidently, it sees the 800+ songs on there and apparently thinks I am trying to add my entire playlist to that - or at least that's my best guess. Thus, the too little space warning. *** is going on with my iPhone/iTunes and can I ever get them to behave normally again? Thanks.

    The solution is Simple.
    - Goto preferences
    - From there select the 'Devices' tab
    - Now make click the check box close to 'Prevent iPods,iPhones..... from syncing automatically.
Click OK and your problem will be solved.

  • I have random songs in my Ipod app that have a cloud symbol.  How do I remove them from my library?

Ever since I purchased an iphone 5s, I've had random world music songs in my ipod app.  They have a cloud symbol next to them, and I can not delete them from my library on the phone.  They are not in my itunes or anywhere that I know of.  How do I get rid of them?

Those are songs that are on your purchase history of your media content; so in a sense they aren't really there on the device or taking up space.

  • Random songs keep getting erased by itunes

i have the ipod 30 gb video. i have noticed that some of music radomally gets erased. for example, i purchased a cd named "trick trick the people versus" from itunes, well after a while my ipod still lists the songs but they dont play. what could be my problem? ps i have my settings on manual updating.
    thanks...

What do you mean by "they don't play?" If you mean it sorta just skips them, then it's possible that the key file on the iPod has become corrupted. A Restore will fix this problem, but erase the iPod in the process.
If you have not updated your iPod to the latest version of the iPod software, do so. Several bugs were fixed in older iPod firmwares that could cause this sort of corruption from time to time.
