I have recently dropped my i phone 3G in a puddle. The screen immediately disappeared but when i got back home and plugged it in to charge the apple logo came on. I went to sleep and left it charging but the next morning it wouldn't even switch on?
It has already been in a bowl of rice to dry out and still won't switch on.
You have most likely cooked it. Attempting to power on or charge a phone with water/moisture inside will generally have a very negative effect on the electronics.

I updated my ipod touch 5th gen to iOS 8.2 and left it but when I got back it was in recovery mode with a red iTunes logo and I plugged it into my computer to reset my ipod and it wouldn't do it what do I do?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My IPad2 just got fixed at the Apple Store, but it looks like they loaded up the latest iOS. When i got it home and mated it to ITunes(MacBook Pro), I was prompted to load the latest OS into my main computer which now runs on OS X version 10.5.8...how do i get the latest OS so i can get the latest iTunes and am i looking at problems with the MacBook buy leap frogging so many OS's?
Buy Snow Leopard here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Install it, update to OS X 10.6.8 using Software Update, and then you'll be all set with iOS 7. -
I have had my ipad for over a year, and have Never put a lock screen on it.. was on it earlier today and not a problem. Now im trying to get back on and it has a 4 digit passcode on it.. Now i am locked out. It says IPAD IS DISABLED? How do i fix this or do a factory reset?
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. If you did not do step 4 properly, start all over again. -

I have iPhone4. It has been working fine. I have not rebooted my phone lately, so I just deleted a few apps and thought I would do a soft reboot. I held down sleep button and home button. It shut down and apple logo came up as it has before, but it has been about 25 minutes and phone has not come back up. What's going on? Help!

So last night before i went to bed my iphone 4 was charging and it was at 6%.the next morning i woke up the phone said it had still been charging but was still at 6%. so i took it off and it died.now it wont come on.it keeps saying the charging sign. i tried rebooting and the charging sign just shows up. how can i fix it?
sounds like a hardware issue with the battery
1. you can try different chargers if you have any
2. while plugged in, Hold the Home+Power at the same time for about 20 secs, if the apple comes up then release both buttons
3.if that doesn't work you may have to go into Apple store -
I downloaded/installed a software that came up on the IPad screen and left itrunning until the next morning. When I went to used the IPad next day, I have not been able to restart it. What should I do?
thanks,
hariIf you mean that it won't boot up, then assuming that the battery isn't empty (it can take about 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My phone will not let me download the most recent update for iOS 7.1. It says I need a wifi connection and will not allow me to push the 'Download & Install' button, even when I am at home and my wifi is on. How do I fix this?
Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.
Sorry but you are stuck without new hardware.

My phone keeps searching when I am at home and always have good service; I also can't get Wi-fi.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Connections.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the problem is resolved. -

we have recently upgraded to windows 7, how do i make the toolbars and panel pane larger. They are too small to view
A larger monito is only helpful if the resolution is the same as your current monitor, and they tend to have higher resolutions as you get larger, so don't rush out an buy a larger monitor and expect miracles. If you have a 22" now and it's "HD" (1920 x 1080), you'll see some change as you go up in size, but you'd probably need at least a 27" screen at 1920 x 1080 to notice a real difference.
Right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution and you can see the current settings (probably the maximum value which is recommended) and other settings you can use. Lowering the resolution will make everything on the screen larger, but less stuff will fit. Used to be, too that ID did not work will at less than the maximum resolution setting for any monitor.
I did not mean to use the larger fonts feature, by the way, as far as I know that doesn't affect the ID user interface.
The point I was making, rather badly, is that those of us with declining eyesight are getting shafted because there is no way to make use of all the monitor potential and adjut the user interface to make things visible. I just bought a 30" monitor to replace my old 27" which had 1920 x 1200 resolution and was pretty usable, things were about the same size as my old sony 20" running at 1600 x 1200, but even though it is larger in terms of screen size, the new monitor is even higher resolution and things are actually smaller. The only reason I can use it with ID is I know where everything is. -
i formated my i phone 3 g and when it loaded back up and asked me to choose language local and wi fi connection everything went fine but when i hit next it said my i pod can not be activated why and how can i fix this i bought it for my daughter for x mas and that is tomorrow
AdaS_VZW,
I'm not sure if the area has been surveyed; it's a large group of apartment buildings about a within a couple miles of Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia, so I would imagine that it probably has, but I'm not sure. How would I find out?
I understand that the Network Extender does not support LTE connections (I know there are two models, the 1x-only and 3g, both made by Samsung - I have the 3g model, SCS-2U01). I know that it can support a 3G data connection, but that should be irrelevant - I'm always connected to my wifi network in my apartment.
What's particularly vexing, however, is that both a Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Nexus in my apartment (the other lines on my account) do not seem to have this issue. While I haven't done so with the S4, the Nexus exhibits this problem when my SIM is in it - and again, this is a fresh SIM from just a few weeks ago.
I'm currently trying to disable Mobile Data when in the apartment to see if that will make it more stable. I'll post in a day or two with results from that.
Shawn
