I have recently restored my iphone but my notes, photos and contacts have dissapeared. help!!
I have been on the info tab on my itunes and ticked to sync my contacts to what i thought was windows on my computer. All my contacts, notes and photos have disapeared and i cant seem to get them back. i have my camera roll pics but cant even add the folder to my itunes.
please anyone help! i cant contact anyone

and see that is any back up there?
if see any back up you can install itools and back up newer backup on your iphone

If your restore is failing, there could be MANY issues... You may need to restore the phone back to "new phone" during the restore... PAY ATTENTION HERE... You will lose ALL contacts, photos, videos, voice memos, etc... But you will be able to re-add your apps< and music through itunes. that is very last resort though. if that doesnt work, I would look into updateing your phone. Personally I wouldn't get the 5, just because I dont need the additonal size screen... I have the 4S and LOVE it!! but, do some research, and see what you can find on the matter. But it sounds like your headed down hill fast with that phone... May be best just to upgrade and save yourself the frustration...

Restored ipod touch but is not recognised and completely dead
My son forgot his passcode so was told to restore the ipod touch. Did that and went throught the procedure then it was supposed to show back in the left hand column but never did and now ipod is dead. When plugged into USB it says its unrecognisable. Please help.
See if placing the iPod in recovey mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so that you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode:

If you have a SIM password on the device, you need to contact the carrier about that. However, if you are referring to unlocking the phone to enable you to use it with a different carrier's SIM, then you need to contact the carrier the device is locked to, see if they provide unlocking, and then see if you qualify for an unlock. Only the carrier the device is locked to can unlock the phone.

In itunes, click on itunes, clck preferences, devices, and see if and what backups it lists for you.

Firstly, try a hard reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.
If this doesn't work, try restoring your device. Put it in recovery mode if iTunes doesn't recognise it, and restore it from there. I have linked to instructions below.

That is almost always because the phone was hacked to illegally unlock it. Contact the carrier it's locked to and ask about having it legitimately unlocked. If they will not do so, you will not be able to activate that phone.

I have restored my iphone but camera shutter still will not open/work
Try closing the Camera app completely and see if then works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Camera 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
