yes i have for sure launched it this is what it looks like at the bottom of my computer, it says by downloading adobe you already agree to the license agreement but I've tried googling, "how to accept the end users license agreement" and it brings me to the agreement but there is no link or button to press on in order to accept it

I just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation.  My computer did have the faulty part you linked to.  I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager.  Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge.  They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test.  They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above.  I've never had this experience before.  Even brand new, I got occasional crashes.  Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow.  Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed.  Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...
Anyhow, thank you for your help and knowledge Clinton.

  • Whenever I try to print a pdf document I get a message saying there  a runtime error, I have adobe r

Whenever I try to print a PDF document, I get a message indicating there is a runtime error, and for me to contact you. My system is Adobe reader 9.3

A runtime error is a computer error that appears in the form  of a message box consisting of a particular code along with its  corresponding definitions. Usually, a user will notice that the computer  becomes noticeably slow before a runtime error appears.
After the runtime error message has been displayed and closed, the software that shows this error would  normally close or freeze. In some cases, the operating system will  reboot.
A wide variety of errors cause these problems. These include:
conflicts between the TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident Program)
    currently running applications
    software issues
    memory problems
and harmful applications such as computer viruses
With this, the procedures necessary to correct this type of error  differs from one case to another. If the runtime error you are  experiencing were caused by a TSR then you can simply use the "end task"  function of the Task Manager.
If you consequently encounter a runtime error  that is persistent, the software that displays the error message has  certain issues and problems. You can resolve this problem by visiting  the website of the software's developer and downloading and installing  all the updates and patches needed for the smooth running of the  software. However, if you have already installed all updates and patches  and the runtime error message still appears, you can opt to uninstall  and reinstall the program.
Another type of runtime error is usually caused by memory issues. In  this case, it is a good idea to first contact the developer of the  application that caused the error message. More often than not, they can  provide you with a possible set of solutions. But if their given  solutions cannot resolve the issues, you need to contact the  manufacturer of your computer or motherboard and ask for a technician or  someone from the company who can assess your hardware.
A different type of runtime error is caused by harmful programs such  as viruses and other malicious processes. These harmful programs are  capable of altering the computer's settings. With this, they are very  much capable of generating runtime errors. In order to prevent runtime  errors that are caused by such malicious programs, you need to  frequently update your antivirus software. If your PC does  not have a good software security program, you need to install one and scan your computer for possible threats  to the stability of your system and the security of your private data.
What all that means is: There is something in the Adobe Reader that is not functioning properly once it is opened.
The best way to resolve this is to:
    1. Uninstall Reader (using the Control Panel).
    2. Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (msicuu2.exe)
    3. Run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove the installer for Reader 9 (and previous versions if they are still installed).
    4. Download and install a new copy of Reader, and update it (if required) to 9.3.1.

  • My AppleWorks spread sheet has started crashing.  I upgraded AppleWorks from 6 to 6.2.9, but it still crashes when I try to save changes or print.  I run 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

My AppleWorks spread sheet has started crashing.  I just upgraded AppleWorks from 6 to 6.2.9, but it still crashes when I try to save changes or print.  I run 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.  This same spread sheet does not crash on my other two Macs.  Please help, I use this spread sheet daily in my business.  Jeanie

Did you apply the security update to this Mac & not the others? If you did, check Software Update again. Apple has released an updated security update. This has fixed the problems caused by the first version.

  • Adobe Reader XI freezes my computer when I try to print

I cannot print any pdf files.  I am running Windows 7 and when I open Adobe Reader XI and try to print a pdf, I get the print dialog box just fine but then when I click "Print," the dialog box comes up to show print progress and at that point everything freezes.  I am printing to a wireless printer HP Deskjet 6980.  I can't even get Ctl-Alt-delete to get me to Task Manager so I have to hold down the power button and I don't like having to shut down that way.

I have been having the same problem for weeks.  I am using Windows 7, Mozilla 33.0.3, and Adobe Reader version XI.0.09.  I saw some advice on another site that I relied on in resolving this.  You need to open the Reader, to to Edit, click on Preferences.  On the Left Hand menu, find "Security (Enhanced)" and open it. If "Enable Protected Mode at Start-up" is active, disable that.  "Enhanced Security" is likely already enabled (and you want to leave that on); if not, enable it.
Under "Privileged Locations," make sure both options (Trust documents/Trust sites) are enabled.  Then open the box entitled "View Windows Trusted Sites."  This will take you to the browser's Security Tab.  Click the green arrow "Trusted Sites" and then the "Sites" tab that appears.  Add the relevant https://.***.com site from which you wish to be able to print *.pdfs.  (Note: It is very important the you make sure to include the secure site, i.e., https..., and not the initial www.***.com site from which you may access the secure site).  After you have added the secure address, click Add, then Close the window.  Make sure then to Click "OK" to close the Security Tab, and then scroll down to the bottom of the "Security (Enhanced)" page to which you will be returned and click OK there.  Close the Adobe Reader and any other Reader windows you may have open.
You can now go to the secure site whose address you just entered, and download the .pdf you want.  (If you have already downloaded the .pdf on your computer from that site you can now just open it instead).  Send the print command for the pages of the .pdf page you want.  The system will hang for a few seconds (at least mine did), but then it prints.
You may be able to go directly to the Security Tab in your browser and enter the secure site in question without going through a pdf document and it will also work but I do not know that for sure.
Finally, I am not an expert; just another user who figured this out with a little help from others.  An expert may wish to comment further on what I have written above to provide further guidance or instruction.
    Good luck.
Later Note:  It is possible to add a non-secure site from which you want to download and open .pdfs to the Trusted Site list.  To do this, uncheck the "Require server verification (https://) for all sites in this zone" box that appears under the listed of Trusted Sites.  As I am not an expert user I do not know if doing this represents a significant security issue but I at least do not find that is the case after running a cursory search online.

  • Adobe Reader stops me from opening PDF files I want to read.  I trashed Adobe Reader but I still can't get into some PDF's?

I can't understand when I try to open PDFs on a website, and even after trashing Adobe Reader, I am not allowed to read PDFs on web sites?

Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.

  • I have update adobe flash, and it still crashes, why can't y'all fix the problem?

everyday sometimes 3 or 4 times firefox crash....i have updated adobe flash.....

Mozilla doesn't make Flash, Adobe does, so it's up to them to fix their stuff.
I'm still using Shockwave Flash 10.1 r53.64 and don't have the crashing problems that to two newer 10.2 and 10.3 versions are having. But I am using WinXP, not Win7, so YMMV.

  • Adobe Reader will not switch settings when I try to print something.

I have a product created using Adobe AIR.
I have a portion where a pdf is loaded into a window, and they print it. When we change what paper they are going to print on (different dimensions), it does not take effect.
We have to load it in a native PDF application (Acrobat) and change the settings, then print the piece off again.
    This is horrible for efficiency.
    Has anyone had this problem?
    Help!
    Andrew

What exactly does this have to do with Adobe Reader?

  • Adobe reader 10.1.11 opens in correct screen only if previous pdf document is closed first. Also setting "open in tallest" monitor won't save.

    Hi all
If I open a pdf file it opens correctly in pivot monitor. If I leave it open and try to open another pdf it opens up in wrong monitor. I tried to get around this with setting "open in tallest monitor" but it's always over ran the next time I open a document (setting reverts back to "this monitor").

    Hello,
Could you please install Reader 11.0.09 and check the same behavior.
The setting "open in tallest monitor" is only applicable when you the run the Full Screen Mode (Crtl + L) in Reader.
    Regards,
    Anoop

  • Reader 11.0.2 crashes when user rt-clicks in the .pdf document

When user right-clicks inside a fillable .pdf (i.e. as if to rt-click/copy or rt-click/paste) she gets the error "Adobe Reader has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."  This occurs 100% of the time when right-clicking.  Unfortunately, Windows hasn't notified me of a solution yet...

Per other forum posts, I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling reader and then running EULA.exe and I also disabled Protected Mode.  Problem persists.
It should be noted that Reader also crashes at other (non-right click) times as well, but without knowing exactly when it occurs, I'm unable to isolate those specific reports from the 100's of other reader crash reports in event viewer.  I've asked the user to document the date/time that reader next suffers a (non rt-click) crash.

This is not something I have seen before.  I see that you have already tried various solutions that may prevent crashes, without any result.
The only advice that I have for now is not to right-click, but use standard keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+C (copy) and Ctrl+V (paste).

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem for a while (FF 3.6.13,Win 7-32 on HP 8730w)and I cannot understand that the Mozilla foundation doesn't do anything about it.
I tried to deactivate the Skype plugin that seems to be at the head of a lot on unstability but no use.
Going to 70% of the websites with flash and having FF that hangs really sucks and I am close to re-install explorer on my PC Guys, so DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, Call the Adobe engineers and sit around a table or you will loose market share soon... :-((
