I have reinstalled itunes 4 times now on my windows xp computer, and now it wont sync my ipod or ipad, please help....

I am going insane, my system kept prompting me to reinstall iTunes, after doing this 4 times, now iTunes wont sync any devices, has anyone else had this problem and how can i fix this issue?????

same problem, Ipad 2 can't be seen by iTunes, used to have a Touch4 with 47 Apps all paid for, computer is autherised, bleeps on USB connection, dose not support 5v charging only 10v.

also it see's everyones wifi box exepct mine can't get to "Settings" as setup incomplete!!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I want to have some music files on my computer and a larger collection of songs with cover art on a shared CloudBox (NAS server) so that also my family members can listen to the music on the Cloudbox. Is there a way to do this?
I know I could just copy the music files to the CloudBox, but that way only the songs are shared, not the cover art. I could also just keep the files on my computer and share the library via home sharing, but that way my computer would have to be always on. So is there a way to have a shared library on the cloudbox that works regardless of my computer being on or not?

Your previous purchases are saved on iCloud even if you bought them on another computer. If you can't find them on your current computer, you might need to unhide them. Go to iTunes preferences, and click on Store Preferences. Then click the box for "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Then click on OK, and everything you've ever bought from iTunes on that Apple ID will show up in your library. You will need to download them from iCloud first before you can synch them to your iPod Classic. To do this, click on the little cloud with the arrow in it next to your song, and it will download to your computer. When you have the music that you want downloaded, plug in your iPod and synch away. Hope this helps!

Hi Shootist. I would be interested in hearing some reasoning on this. I almost always use a USB cable to connect my camera to the MBP for transferring pictures, and have moved about 30,000 this way over the last 6 years since my photography went digital. Recently, on the rare occassions when I have only a few to transfer and I was too lazy to go for the cable, I have used the card reader; about half those times I have difficulty getting the MBP to recognise the card. I find I have to press the card very hard into the slot for it to be recognised.
My rationale is quite possibly wrong, but I feel that the USB connectors are more robust and hard-wearing than the flimsy connectors on an SD card. Also, I haven't measured it, but I think the data transfer is faster with the cable. (I just came across this test, which reports noticeably faster transfer for cable than built-in card reader, but the computer was a PC)

Since this first message, the "Other" space has increased exponentially. The first time, after the "restore", it increased to over 9 GB. Later, I tried a minor restore again, and now it's over 10 GB. A few days ago with the new Itunes update, i forgot to restart my computer and now itunes will not open. I don't feel comforable uninstalling becuase i dont have all my music saved on an external hard drive. Any advice? Help please!

I have a Toshiba Laptop and I dont know the exact model or anything, might be a windows 7...i have no clue. Hello. Please can anyone help?
After having issues with my iphone4, I was told to restore it as it was probably a software issue.
So today I have made sure to back up to icloud, and onto my computer / itunes. After restoring my phone, you go through the steps on the iphone, to resore the back up from itunes there shows a symbol of the itunes and a wire to connect. I have connected to itunes and it will not sync. All the information is there on my computer, it goes through all the steps to sync, 1-6 then goes back to itunes. But none of the data is on my iphone, my iphone is still on the 'connect to itunes' symbol!
Am i doing something wrong? How can I get all my data back onto my iphone?
