  • This is my first Apple product and probably the last - IOS 8.0.2 issues

I got a very bad taste of poor Apple software releases (IOS 8.0.2) in my Ipad, I expected the release to make things better but looks like I am in living **** with this update. Here is a short list of litany of issues
    1) Safari crashes "a problem occurred with the webpage so it was reloaded" and crashes. I tried Google Chrome, it just crashes as well. Tried restart, clearing cache etc without any success
    2) Multitasking gestures doesn't work, pinch to home screen works sporadically (very unreliable, I need to turn off and turn on this feature to make it work again)
I found so many issues in few minutes of use that I almost want to throw the ipad to the thrash. I didn't expect such a poor quality product and service from Apple.

If you use the Mail App and configure a Yahoo account you can then select up to 5 pictures from the Photo App and mail them as a single e-mail.

Use iTunes on your computer.  With the iPad connected, sign into your Apple account and check for updates.
Doing this should straighten out the problem.

  • Brand New iphone5 out of the box... speaker phone not working

Hi Guys, frustrated & disappointed very much.. brand new iphone5 out of the box, speaker seems to be not working, i checked the volume, silent mode is off.. still no sound from the speaker.. no ringtones, no music via speaker.. however, with headset, sound seems fine..
    please help me out here...

Auto-focus requires adequate lighting and a subject with adequate contrast.  It may not focus in a very dark room, for example... or a night scene.  It also needs contrast -- for exmaple if you point the camera up into a blue, cloudless sky it wont be able to focus on that either because there's nothing of contrast (the sky looks the same overall "blue" whether in focus or out of focus so moving the focus makes no difference and this confuses the camera.) If, however, you have good lighting (e.g. suppose you're outside on a bright sunny day) then the camera should focus on any normal subject then it should have no difficulty focusing (as long as it isn't a completely plain, featureless subject that offers no contrast.) The camera actually has TWO different focus systems.  If you look through the veiwfinder then the camera uses it's "phase detect" auto-focus system (this is the fastest focus system.)  If you put the camera into "live view" mode so that you use the rear LCD to compose your subject then the camera uses it's "contrast detect" auto-focus system. If neither system works with the lens in auto-focus mode then the most likely cause is a problem with the lens (either the camera is unable to communicate with the lens or the auto-focus motor isn't working, etc.)  It's far more often that this is a lens problem and not a camera problem. If you happen to have another lens, try switching lenses to see if that makes a difference. Are the camera and lens both new?

  • HT4060 My ipad mini wont charge I bought a new charger since the old one didn't charge my ipad and the same problem is happening i charged it over night and when I woke up it said 50% soo can someone help me this is my first apple product a

Well my ipad mini isn't charging.. I with the original charger it didn't show the charging sign when plugged in.. And I bought a new one a 12:00 one from bath bed and beyond. Now it ain't charging again even thought it did a few days ago.. Now I don't know what to do.. I don't wanna keep buying chargers..

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.htmlhttp://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • Currently, I have 5 iPads used for the same purpose. Since similar data /application is shared among all of them, is it alright for me "Backup" only 1 iPad. And in which case, if anything happens to any of the other iPads I can still recover the data

Currently, I have 5 iPads used for the same purpose. Since the same data /application is shared among all of these iPads, is it alright for me "Backup" only 1 iPad instead of all 5?  And if anything happens to any my iPads which I have not backed up, I can restore it from the iPad where I have save the Backup. I am hoping by doing so, I will also be able to save some icloud storage space. Let me know if my question is still not so clear to you guys.  Thanks.

    Hello PeachY1234,
If I understand correctly you'd like to save iCloud storage space by only backing up 1 of the 5 iPads to your account since they are all going to have very similar data and usage. You certainly can do that, but I do have to warn you that any unique data between them would be lost if you had to restore from that one backup made on another iPad so just keep that in mind. If you do need to restore in the future you can use this article to restore that iCloud backup:
iCloud: Restore or set up your iOS device from iCloud
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • I purchased a new ipad 3.  I have all of my apps synced to the new ipad.  Can I now Erase and Delete all of the data off the old ipad without effecting my account?

I purchased a new ipad3 and have gotten all of my previously purchase apps loaded.  Can I now perform an erase and delete all data on the old ipad without doing harm to my itunes account and my new pad?

I just bought the new iPad over the weekend. Restored from the old iPad backup - got everything moved onto the new one gave the old one to my daughter - wiped my 4 email accounts off of the old device and then she proceeded to delete all but about 3 apps from the thing. It had no effect on my new iPad.
    You are good to go!

  • How do you attach multiple pictures to an email? I use yahoo, presently I copy and paste each pic separately , having to go back and forth from my pics and email. I know there's an easier way. I currently use an iPad 2 and this is my first apple product.

I currently use an iPad 2,how does one go about attaching multiple pictures to a yahoo email? Presently I am having to copy then paste each picture
Separately , going back and forth from my picture roll to my email. I tried to copy and paste multiple pictures but it would only paste the last picture
I copied. I am new to apple, so any help would be appreciated .

If you use the Mail App and configure a Yahoo account you can then select up to 5 pictures from the Photo App and mail them as a single e-mail.

  • HOW MANY HOURS DID YOU CHARGE YOUR iPHONE FOR THE 1ST TIME OUT OF THE BOX?

    As the title says.
And how soon does the battery start to finish when watching YouTube after a FULL CHARGE?
I can watch abt 3 or 4 videos (between 2 to 10 mins long each) + searching youtube for a minute or two before I notice the FULL BATTERY starts to drain :S
So in total lets say after 15 minutes my battery starts to go down.
Is that normal? or is something wrong with my battery?

I provide you a link yesterday with this and other information about the battery which answers this question so here it is again.
    http://www.apple.com/batteries/
+Lithium-ion batteries pack in a higher power density than nickel-based batteries. This gives you a longer battery life in a lighter package, as lithium is the lightest metal. *You can also recharge a lithium-ion battery whenever convenient, without the full charge or discharge cycle necessary to keep nickel-based batteries at peak performance.*+
Charging an iPhone battery for 15 hours doesn't accomplish anything. After the battery reaches 80%, it reverts to a trickle charge for the remaining and when at 100%, charging stops. Charging can't go past 100%.

  • Disconnect Device through Hotspot and can no longer connect

I recently disconnected a Windows 7 device through the "Connected Devices" option on the Verizon Hotspot. After disconnecting that Windows 7 device I am no longer able to connect through the Verizon Hotspot. I have removed and added back the hotspot profile in Windows 7 and can still not connect.  I can still however, connect to other devices on the Verizon hotspot.  I receive a simple error message in  Windows 7 to verify the encryption settings even those encryption settings are properly set to WPA2.  It appears that both devices appear to be out of synch.  Has anyone experienced this with other Verizon 4G LTE hotspots?  I generally just disconnect the device or turn off the hotspot when disconnecting however, I did not see any hard whatsoever in disconnecting the device through the hotspot "Connected Devices" option.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to get one of my business laptops that use Windows 7 back online..

If it's encryption Windows 7 is speaking of, make sure in the wireless adapter settings configuration that not only is on the correct WPA2 as you stated but the encryption matches, such as AES or TKIP.
Otherwise, removing the connection from the Preferred Wireless Networks list and resetting the device should allow a fresh new start.
