I have restored my iphone 5 from icloud but since i have, it is asking me to log into a totally different i tunes account. one i cannot remember ever using.
I cant remember ever using this itunes account. how do i stop it asking me to log in all the time.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

I believe only the most recent backup is saved in iCloud, if that's what you're asking. If you haven't done an iCloud backup since May, then you could restore from it. Otherwise, I believe it's been overwritten.

The iCloud account is different from the iTunes store account, although you can use the same ID for both. in your case you can only use one iTunes account at a time to get previously bought apps, music, etc.Once you change to the other one, the stuff from the first account is deleted. In other words you can only realistically use one iTunes account. The same goes with iCloud. you must now decide which account for iTunes you want to stick with. apple does not let you merge two iTunes accounts.

Can anyone help please? Backed up Iphone 4s to icloud and received the replacement one. So I am trying to restore from icloud. Unfortunately, the phone tells me that the IOS system (showing 6.1.2 required) is incompatible and so are the previous 3 backups... I dont have the laptop to hand in order to backup to itunes either. I'm guessing I cant set up as a new phone, get the latest IOS system update and then restore the backup from icloud... or can I?
On your new phone: Settings>General>Software Update. Once done: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You'll now be able to use your backup.

I have restored my iPhone 4 S but iTunes is still trying to restore it. What do I do?
I have upgraded my iPhone 4 to a 4S and have all afternoon been trying to restore it with my old iPhone backup. I connected it to my computer and it did it straight away - I have all my contacts and texts up until monday morning however I have none of my apps or my music. I knew this would probably happen and I know that I can get them all back by connecting to iTunes but the iPhone device tab is still saying that I need to set up my phone I can set it up as a new phone or restore it from my old backup - which I have now done 4 times. It won't let me get pass that page and it's starting to get slightly annoying as I want to get my music on there.
Can anyone let me know what I need to do?
Any help much appreciated!

I'm trying to restore my new iPhone from iCloud. However, whenever I get to the Choose Backup screen, i choose the one that I want. However, as soon as I click it, it says that it "Cannot be restored". Help!

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident
You have a corporate MS Exchange account and your Exchange administrator installed a security profile on your phone that requires the phone'a contents to be encrypted. This, in turn, requires the backup to be encrypted for obvious reasons.
In either case you were prompted for a password the first time you backed up after whichever of these happened. So think about what you might have entered for a password at that time. Fortunately you get an unlimited number of tries. Other threads on this subject have shown that it is always a password known to the user, so it wasn't something made up by iTunes. There are also some scam password crackers available that don't actually work and possibly steal your information. It's likely that a developer of one or more of these will post a response with a link (possibly hidden) to their "product". I am confused and not very techy!! My daughter has a 16gb ipad I have paid for extra storage on the cloud so she can have movies on it but since I have done this the ipad is saying shes only got 1gb left even tho it says she's used 12.0 although she hasnt any apps downloafed please help!
Hi! On her iPad, go to Settings > General > Usage and that will show you what apps (I'm suspecting it could be Photos and Camera.) are taking most of the space on it. The extra iCloud storage will not increase local storage on the iPad itself.

Just restored my iPhone 5 from iCloud. My wife and I have always shared one iCloud ID. But since my restore, when a call comes in, it rings on both my phone and hers. How can I make this stop? We had it all set up fine before the restore, and there was a trick to it in the settings. I've noticed that since my restore, her phone has picked up what looks like the symbol of a phone in the upper right corner of the display, right next to the Bluetooth symbol.

It sounds like your iPhones may be using a new feature in iOS 8 called Continuity. The following article and information explains how to set up this feature for phone calls. You can review the information on the setup to reverse this effect. My suggestion would be to turn off FaceTime on one of the devices.
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity
Phone calls
With Continuity, you can make and receive cellular phone calls from your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac when your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network.
To make and receive phone calls, here's what you need:
Sign in to the same iCloud account on all your devices, including your Mac.
Your iPhone and your iPad or iPod touch need to use iOS 8 or later. Your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.
All devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
All devices must be signed in to FaceTime using the same iCloud account. This means any device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off. Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.

I have taken my smashed (unusable) iPhone into apple for repair today and followed their instructions beforehand, removing the phone from icloud through my PC. However the guy at apple could not do anything as he said it was still connected to i cloud. On checking my account, my phone is no longer on the device list but can still be seen in icloud settings. He was stumped and asked if I had set up another apple id and maybe forgotten about it (I definitely haven't, I've had the same account for 6 years,) his other explanation was a technical glitch. I'm now stuck with a broken phone and a £60.00 a month bill and also pretty annoyed about the wasted 3.5 hour round trip. Any ideas please? It would be much appreciated

Try restoring the device and setting up as new.
If it is still shows an iCloud activation lock, then it's on an iCloud account
The wrong device was removed from an iCloud account.
Check any other Apple IDs you might have at
iCloud.com
Get signed into them and remove that device.
I wish this was the first time I seen this.

I lost my contacts on my iphone 4, I've tried several times to restore them with a copy from icloud using itunes, once the iphone is restored i can see the contacts and use them but when I disconect the iphone the contacts are errased again. What can I do?
Have you checked the cable ? Try another one as well as the charger. Look for any dirt or fluff in the docking port where the cable fits. If it still does not work, take it to an Apple store and get them to check it out.

Apps are not backed up at all on itunes. You should be storing everything on your computer. if you are doing that, then the apps will be synced back to the iphone when restoring.

Updating Photoshop CS4 11.0 to 11.0.2 fails
