I realise there have been a number of threads like this now that I have started looking, the problem is the back-ups i made were saved to a server network which has now also gone down, a case of dreadful luck really. Is there any other way to get the music back?

The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands. You may need to install additional software to open this type of file. Does anyone know why safari and firefox won't load certain pages

I can't get safari and firefox to load certain pages. For me it's a website programme that i'm using. I can get into the programme but then certain pages won't load. This suddenly happened about 3 weeks ago with Safari. I then loaded Firefox and it worked fine for a few days and now i'm having the same problem and it's the same pages that won't open. I also have trouble getting other sites to load completely, such as this site. It's so frustrating as i can't finish building my website and my laptop is only new!

I can go into their website, cloudaccess and use that properly. I just can't use my own website properly. When i say website, my site isn't yet built. The site i'm trying to access is the backend of joomla. I can't load it and use some of it but not all of it.
I can access the site through my old laptop (and use it fully) which is a windows one but i can't access it via this one. My emails have being playing up since downloading Yosemite, unable to find servers including blueyonder and gmail

I have had to revert to doing my blueyonder and gmail emails on the web as my Apple version of Outlook isn't working, mainly telling me that it can't reach the server and if I go into accounts, in the Outgoing Mail Server box it shows Gmail (offline) or Blueyonder (offline) and I can see no way of changing it.

It is Apple mail I wasn't sure what it was called, I used to use Outlook on Windows, sorry.

    If your new email address is an Apple-related email account (e.g., Mobileme account), you will get the 'email is already in use' message. If this is the case, you cannot consolidate your old Apple ID with your new one. I (and many others) have ran into this same issue.
      If this is indeed the cause of your problem, I recommend that you start using your new Apple ID exclusively. If you made a considerable number of purchases under your old Apple ID (i.e., through iTunes), you will still have to log in under your old ID for that account.
      Hopefully, one day Apple will allow us to consolidate accounts.

Safari and Firefox won't load images on wireless network

I have been struggling with a problem for weeks. When using my MBP on my wireless internet some web pages won't load at all "server is not responding". On other sites images won't load.
I have Cox as my ISP and my PC desktop has no issues.
Running XP on parallels also has the same issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
