I have several home page tabs open. How do I close them without closing other tabs?

When I open my home page and go to other web sites, I can close the tabs for those sites but cannot close my home page tab when I finish. How do I close a home page tab while keeping other tabs open?

Have you tried ctrl alt del and force closing Firefox?

If you have iOS 5+ with the tabbed browsing then you can close the 'active' tab by tapping the 'x' on the left of the tab (you can't close the last tab).
If you have iOS 4 or below then tap the icon of the two squares to open the thumbnail/page view and you can close them from there

When I open a new page, Firefox won't let me close it without closing altogether the website I am exploring. This has happened since the "update" and happened on multiple website. What happened to "close tab?"

I used to be able to click "File" and "close tab" to close a page without closing a website. For a few weeks after the last Firefox update, I had to hit "exit" and that worked the same, but now it closes everything. Very irritating and time-consuming.

The change has affected games in facebook and other applications.
We have no "home" tab...if we want to return to home page, we have to close internet down and reopen

You might want to try reinstalling iTunes.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove programs. Find "iTunes" from this list, and click on "Remove".
Your music will still be saved on your computer in a folder called "iTunes Music", which is inside a folder called "iTunes".

I use Firefox at work. We have a standard home page we use. In IE all my new pages open at our home page. With Firefox I have my home page set, but all new windows I open, open as a blank tab/blank page. I want to have all my new windows/tabs to open to my home page.

You can always just middle-click or ctrl+click on the home button to open it in a new tab.

When I try to save my home pages / tabs, I can't, because this option is greyed out. I even uninstalled FF with Revo Uninstaller completely, reinstalled with no new plugins or extensions, and it remains greyed out. Every time I click on my home page it opens two tabs one of which is the mozilla atart page. I would like it to stop.

I believe that the question is self descriptive. I open a new tab and it opens. I click on my home page which is Google. The browser then opens a second tab and in the second tab that it opens is the Mozilla start page. if I do this several times during the day I end up with several tabs open to the Mozilla start page and it is irritating.

Despite home page set as default,prefs file being deleted. (twice) it still opens in welcome window, alongside is my home page tab,add on checking doesnt finish .

everytime I open firefox. checking for add ons flashes up and disappears then welcome page opens, my home page tab is alongside it. I have uninstalled firefox. deleted the prefs file. instructed my privacy programme to ignore firefox all to no avail. I know I can edit user.js but not sure how. I can open it in notepad as instructed in help files but have no idea what to do next and what to edit.

Mutiple home page settings opens many duplicate tabs

I have set two home pages"http://www.yahoo.com| http://att.my.yahoo.com" when i click the home icon, it opens the second home page in a new tab, one tab every time the icon is clicked.
ie the first home page tab clears and reloads in the same tab,having one tab.
The second home page adds a new tab, ten clicks= 1 yahoo.com tab and 10 att.my.yahoo.com tabs is there a setting to control this?

How did you change the homepage:
*Install add-on
*Change it from the options menu
*Adjust <code>about:config</code> strings
Please ensure that you do not have multiple URLs in the homepage field of the Options window.

Home button now opens 3 home page tabs instead of closing last search page

Until the latest update, when I had a page open other than my home page, selecting the home button would close out non-home page and return me to home page/same tab. Now if I'm off my home page and select HOME, the existing non-home page stays open and I get 3 new tabs with my home page opening. I have tried TABS in options with no luck. Thanks
