I have signed up for iCloud syncing of music on my iPod.

No-where during sign-up any mention that only IOS devices could aceess the music on iCloud. I have only Android and Windows devices, except for my ancient iPod. My sole reason for subscription was to access my iPod's music on iCloud with my other non IOS devices. Once I had paid, I received an email stating this iCluad access service is only available for IOS devices. I obviously can't reach iTunes Store to demand a refund as I can't read my model number on the back of my ancient and very scratched iPod. How do I contact iTunes Store to get a refund? I have only been subscribed for 4 hours? fjve

It looks like you didn't do your homework and read up on the features of the itunes match service.

  • I have signed up for iCloud but can't open it even after I sign in. I just get the account page.

I set up iCloud on my iPad Air and on my PC but can't open it past the Account page where I sign in. I can't access any of the features (like iemail, documents etc.) There is no where for me to open them.

I'm not sure what you're looking for on your iPad.  You set up iCloud by going to Settings>iCloud, signing in with your Apple ID to create your account, then turning on the data you want to sync with iCloud.  However, iCloud is a service, it isn't an app.  It will sync data that you add or change within the apps on your your iPad that are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, notes, reminders, etc.).
When you go to icloud.com from your computer browser, you should get the sign in pop-up like the image below.  After signing in, you can access the apps from icloud.com.  If this isn't working for you, you may need to troubleshoot your browser as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4050.

  • Dear Sir or Madam, I have got my iPhone cleaned all paid apps after I have this PC signed up for more sync PCs. How can I retrieve my paid apps accounts or I do have to buy it once more and lose my info completely?

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this). Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.

  • SINCE SIGNING UP FOR ICLOUD MAIL I HAVE LOST ACCESS TO MY AOL ACCOUNTS. HOW DO I GET OFF ICLOUD MAIL? IT DOES NOT WORK.

I SIGNED UP FOR ICLOUD MAIL LAST NIGHT. TODAY I CANNOT OPEN AOL MAIL ON EITHER MY IMAC 20" OR MY MACBOOK PRO. CLEARLY ICLOUD IS A LOSER. HOW DO I DELETE ICLOUD MAIL?

iCloud should have no affect on any other mail accounts on your computer, especially 2 different computers. Are you sure AOL isn't down?
But if you believe it is affecting your AOL accounts, open Accounts tab in System Preferences and select the iCloud account uncheck mail and any other features you are using with iCloud. If you are using no iCloud features, sign out of iCloud completely. It will remove any iCloud email account from Mail.

  • I have put a wrong Apple id for signing in for icloud

I have put a wrong Apple id for signing in for icloud (one word missing from my real id) on my iphone 5. Therefore, it was never verified and I cannot delete the account as well. Every time I switch on the phone it asks for the password. I tried to change the apple id but it didn't help. Still the icloud works with the wrong e-mail address. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Thank you for answering my question. But the iphone does not allow me to delete the icloud account. It says it needs the password. I changed the password several times, it did not help. It doesn't accept the password as the icloud account is not verified.(How can it be verified as its the wrong e-mail address?) I tried to change apple Id but it didn't help as well. I simply have run out of options now.

  • Signed up for iCloud, but now no contacts on my iPhone (3G)

My aging iPhone 3G has really gone bonkers since I signed up for iCloud.
The main problem is that my Address Book doesn't sync - in fact it's been completely deleted from the iPhone, though it's fully intact on the iMac.
After noting its erasure, I restored the iPhone to its factory settings, but to no avail.
It doesn't make any difference whether I click the Contacts checkbox under Advanced or not - still no details.
Another bizarre observation - which may provide a clue - is that when opening iPhoto with the iPhone plugged in, it shows both the old (pre-restore) name and the new (post-restore) name, as if two iPhones were connected.  This does not happen in iTunes, which only shows the new name.
Given my hopeless memory for phone numbers now (due in no small part to total lack of use), this iPhone has now been rendered useless for its primary function as a phone, except to call home - the only number I can remember!  (What a chump I feel!)
Anyone have the same/similar problems, and have you managed to resolve them?  Any sane help appreciated.
    Thanks... Tony

In the absence of any replies, I'd forgotten that I'd posted here, but I did manage to sort out the problem eventually.
I forget all the steps involved, and possibly some which may be pertinent, but in essence somewhere in the iCloud signup procedure I'd clicked something that told Address Book to upload to the Cloud, and otherwise remain invisible on the Mac.  Tinkering with the Address Book preference settings eventually restored the Contacts list to my iPhone.

  • HT5622 Can't sign up for iCloud because ID is tied to old email

The Apple ID I've been using for the last six years is tied to an old email that I can't remember the password for anymore. This means that I've never been able to sign up for iCloud because I have no way of clicking the verification email. I've never cared until Yosemite came out and has all these awesome features that need iCloud to work. This is the ID i've go my iPhone using. Is there like a procedure to get and ID switched to a new email?

You can change the primary email account associated with your Apple ID to a new email account which you have access to as explained here: Change your Apple ID.  Once you've done that, you can create your iCloud account by going to System Preferences>iCloud, signing in with the ID, then checking the items you want to sync with iCloud.  Once you have created the account on your Mac, go to Settings>iCloud on your iOS devices, sign in with the same ID, then turn on the items that you want to sync with iCloud.  There are more details on setting up iCloud here: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.
If you are sign into the old ID for other services, you'll need to sign out, then sign back in with the updated ID.  For example, if you are signed into the old ID for iMessage on your phone, you would go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the updated ID.

I already quoted the minimum requirements, look in the post before yours.
You will have to upgrade your Mac to at least 10.7.5, upgrades are not free, you buy them from the App Store. Mountain Lion is the best but your Mac must be compatible.
Here is a list of compatible machines.
Also note that some older apps (Office 2004, Appleworks) will not run on Mountain Lion.

You can continue to share the same iTunes account ID with your daughter and set up a separate iCloud account with a different ID.
=> is this a different iCloud account for each device?  I thought iCloud account ID had to match some iTunes account ID, for which we only have one i Tunes account?
You need to set up a separate iCloud account for each person that does not want to share their iCloud data.  If you share an iCloud account with someone, any data you both sync with the shared account is merged, and you end up with each other's data on your device(s).  If, for example, you owned two devices and someone else in the family also owned two devices, you would both want your own iCloud accounts, and you would each set up your personal iCloud account on the two devices you own.  In other words, you want a separate iCloud account for each person to be used on the devices they own.  Each iCloud account has to have a separate Apple ID.  The ID does not need to be the same as the ID used for iTunes.  Many families perfer to share the same iTunes account/ID, but maintain separate iCloud accounts with different IDs to keep there data separated.

=> what ID, iTunes?  So I can have a separate iCloud account "only" ID which I also assume must be some [valid] email address?  The children currently do not have email accounts anywhere.
Yes, I was referring to the iTunes ID not needing to be the same as the ID used for iCloud.  In order to set up an Apple ID your children will need to have a valid email address that can be verified by Apple.  Apple requires this so they have a way of contacting the owner if there is a problem with the account, such as when you may need to reset the password on the account.  When you set up the ID, Apple will send a verification email to this email account and you will need to click on the verificating link in the email to complete the process.  If they don't currently have an email account you can just set one up with gmail or another free email hosting service.  They don't have to use the account but you will need it to set up the ID.

  • I tried to sign in for icloud set up with my apple id, i received a message that your account limit has reached, how to get icloud access then?

i tried to sign in for icloud set up for the first time with my apple ID, But unable to get through as i receive a message saying your account limit is reached, then how to proceed.

I can't say why it should be doing this. If it persists then your only options are to set it up on another Mac or iOS device if you can (then you will be able to sign into it), or failing that to contact Support - though I don't know how helpful they are likely to be.
To contact  iCloud Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee.

Any one have any clues ????

    Hi!
I encountered a problem a few weeks ago which is a bit like yours. In my case my Apple ID stopped working after I upgraded to Mountain Lion. I finally found out it was because of the fact that my Apple ID has in fact been an alias within my much older MobileMe/iCloud account. And they weren't able to merge or reset the account at first. It took me a lot of mails and a few calls to get them to resetting the account and changing my Apple ID (for the Apple Store, iTunes, etc.) to a different, non-iCloud related email adress.
Anyway, maybe you can call the Apple Support and kindly ask them to reset the password for this ominous @me.com account so you can finally start using it.
Did you try logging into iCloud using your adress with the appendix @me.com because not everybody has got the @icloud.com ending yet. Technically it's no problem to create a new iCloud account. I can understand though that you'd like to get "your name" back .

...... iCloud does not do that, you need iTunes Match, which does and works on a PC.

  • Why did my apps disappear when I signed up for iCloud?

I signed up for iCloud for my iPhone and when I finished setting it up, the look of the buttons on my phone changed and the apps for things like Twitter and Facebook were gone. Are they still on my phone? How do I find them? Do I have to re-download? Help!

I just figured it out. My 2 pages of apps turned into 3, even though page 2 only has 1 app on it. My missing apps are on page 3. Why? Don't care.

  • Can't sign-up for Firefox Sync

I have been trying to sign-up for Firefox sync but every time I start to enter a valid email address I get an error message saying it is an "invalid email address". The error will pop-up as soon as I start to enter the first character. I wasn't even able to get to the @ symbol before the error displayed.
Also, tried various different emails but same problem.
Could not find anyone else having this problem, is it just me?
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ray

Strange I thought I had tried that a couple of times and the NEXT button stayed grayed out.
But I did get past it and set-up the Sync.
    Thanks for your help.
