I have Snow Leopard 10.6 and I am having issues with M/S Word 2004 and G-mail. I can only open docs sent to me in g-mail on google doc?
Is there a compatability issue with Microsoft Word 2004 and Snow Leopard or is it G-Mail? I am using Safari with a G-mail account.
Will upgrading to 2011 correct my issue that I can not open a pdf or word doc in G-mail or could it be a g-mail setting? I can open these docs outside of G-mail, but I am also having issues sending them without the docs becoming slightly modified enroute.

Ok 1st one. The warning restriction message relates to this line in main.cf:
smtpd_helo_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated permit_mynetworks check_helo_access hash:/etc/postfix/helo_access reject_non_fqdn_hostname reject_invalid_hostname permit reject_invalid_helo_hostname
The last reject occurs after the single word "permit" and is ignored.
However, that's not the problem.
I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but this might be a clue.
It would appear that either postfix is not being able to create the socket for private/policy or it's somehow created with the wrong permissions. You might need to ramp up the debug level to get a better idea.
You could check if it's being created by "netstat -a | grep private/policy" in terminal.
My guess is that it's not being created because there is no setup statement in your master.cf file, but I don't understand why postfix would be looking for it if it isn't set up. Private/policy I think relates to grey listing. Maybe gives you a hint. -

I just recently up graded from AI CS6 to AI CC and I am having issues with my pen tool. If I create a starting point and then make another point it does not allow me to make the second point an end point. The pen tool stays active and I either have to click to isolate the path or I have to return to the first point and close the path. Please help.

If you cannot close the Pen Tool by switching to another tool, as a temporary measure you may try pressing P (for Pen).
To solve it, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

I downloaded OS X Lion on my iMac and I'm having problems with my computer waking up after hibernating. I can get to the login screen but my mouse will be frozen. The only fix's is a hard reboot. Any help would be great!

5. Keep them held down until you’ve heard the start-up chime twice. After you release them you should hear it again, and hopefully your Mac will boot up as it should normally. -
Running OS X Leopard 10.5.8 and was having issues with my version of iTunes 10.5.3 (freezing and getting rainbow spinny wheel, not allowing me to do anything, while importing music from a different folder into the iTunes). Anyway, so I uninstalled iTunes and went to download the newest version (10.7 i believe) and after downloading and attempting to install, i was alerted that I cannot install and run this application without having the newest version of OS X 10.6 i believe. So, what I'm ultimately trying to figure out is if I need to spend $130(that i do not have) on Amazon to get the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 then pay another $20 in the App Store to upgrade to Mountain Lion as well? I need to have iTunes on this laptop due to having an iPhone 4 that needs to be able to be synced on this computer. Bottom Line is, I don't have really have $150 to upgrade all this at the current moment just to get iTunes back on my system. Any suggestions or am I basically having to drop the $150 just to get iTunes back so I can sync my iPhone 4 again? Ugh, this *****, really wish i hadn't uninstalled that version of iTunes..HELP!!! thanks in advance..

After the recent update I am having issues with Flash based games freezing and not responding.
After the recent update I am having issues with flash based programs not running or loading correctly. The programs will not load or take an extremely long time to load compared to jsut a few days ago. This happens across the board on anything flash based. Also, once they do load they will freeze, stop responding or need to be constantly refreshed to come back alive which is short lived at best. I went thru the help and did all the file deleting, cache clearing, disabling hardware acceleration, removing then reinstalling flash, and even removing and reinstalling my browsers. None of this has helped at all. I am using Chrome and it is up to date and I checked my Flash player and it is up to date. I am running windows 7 64bit.
Here's what you're up against guys,
Adobe writes the base code for Flash Player, and then hands it off to Google, who adapt it to a PPAPI plug-in (it's NPAPI when Adobe writes it). It's then "PepperFlash" and Google embeds it in their Chrome browser. While Google is pushing a "webwide" move to PPAPI Flash Content, a reinvention of the wheel so to speak, not everyone "got the memo", and Google is slowly making it so that PepperFlash will block NPAPI Flash content from running properly, and you have to disable PepperFlash to force the NPAPI plug-in to work, which sometimes fixes it, sometimes not. I have a feeling this is only going to get worse. HTML5 will eventually resolve the video end but game developers need to come up with something that won't require a plug-in.
And to the first post: Since PepperFlash is embedded in Chrome by Google, you can uninstall and reinstall Flash Player from here until your hard drive literally seizes up.... guess what? It has NO EFFECT at all on the PepperFlash plug-in in Chrome because it's a separate file in a separate folder and the uninstaller & installers don't have anything to do with it. -

I just bought an Apple Wireless Keyboard for my ThinkPad E430 but the keys are not compatible.
I installed BootCamp 5 and it worked great but whenever I restart, it changes my system's time.What do you mean by racing around in circles? Have you done any damage to your phone? Like drop it or get it wet?

I was having issues with syncing my 80G video iPod, so I restored it, and now all my songs in my library are "corrupted" and I can't get them back on my iPod. I keep getting error(-69). How did my songs all get corrupted, and how do I fix this without having to purchase these songs all over again?
Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. We have two phones that are on verizon, share icloud, and all of a sudden, our phones keep having our texts sent to the other phones. we recently switched service from at&t. It happened early on, and now it's happening again. What do we need to do for this to stop happening?
That's because you are using the same iCloud account for iMessage on both phones. The best way to resolve it is to log out of iCloud in Settings/Messages on ONE of the phones, and create a new iCloud account just for that phone and iMessage. Leave your other settings sharing the iCloud ID so you can share music and apps, and can trace both phones with Find my iPhone.
The alternative is to go to Settings/Messages and change the addresses in "Send & Receive" so they are different for the 2 phones. -

For example, I'm on a WiFi network, operating it where I normally had no issues. I deleted the app because if became so annoying. I now notice the same issues with podcast app when playing back a downloaded program. Also, more than a few times of the day Siri will just randomly open. I am wondering what options do I have to discover the problem. COuld it be the most recent IOS update? I don't want to have to restore an old backup and loose data.

New PC, new itunes, and iphone. Having issues with pairing/authorization/library transfer

I recently got a new PC. Before unplugging the old one, I deauthorized it from itunes. I immediately authorized the new computer. I also have cloud syncing on (for all the good it's doing me)
(HATE the new itunes btw - I find the user interface SUPER confusing and none of the itunes articles use the new version for reference).
Anyway, I must have messed up the initial sync or something. For some reason it's recognizes all of my apps, and happily adding anything I download from the phone back onto the computer - but everything else is a mess. I had to recreate my podcast subscriptions (no biggie) but it won't let me sync my music library back and forth (nor my audio books). It only seems to want to let me erase my music library on the phone with the mostly empty one on the computer. It's not recognizing the playlists from my phone at all on the PC, and today I bought some new songs on the PC and it won't let me add them to those playlists.
I even tried "transferring" back....but it's still not letting me access playlists and music libary
Any suggestions would be MOST appreciated. I'm not particularly interested in losing my entire music library that's on my phone. If I had to lose anything I guess I'd prefer to lose the songs I bought today on the PC.Copy your whole iTunes folder from the old computer to the same location on the new one. It is trying to erase the phone because the phone is synced to the library on the old computer and does not recognize the one on the new computer. You can transfer purchases from a phone to a computer but otherwise file transfer is one direction, computer to phone.

TS2634 Having issues with touch screen selecting keys and buttons I don't touch
I'm having issues when messaging or using the browser with the key pad it will jump up and down the screen, select buttons I don't want or the wrong messages. It basically wigs out at times, usually when I'm charging it, or listening to a radio station and trying to message at the same time. Any suggestions on why this is happening or how to fix it?
