    This whole security question crap is a hassle. If I wanted to talk to someone on the phone to have some dumb questions reset, I would call them. Why can't they just send it in my dang e-mail. So forget it. I'll just forego the purchase.

    Then call iTunes Support and get them reset:

    or by email:
    https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
    If you have another iOS device or another SMS-capable device, you can use this method:

    Read the entire article carefully to see if this method would be a preferable approach for you.

  • HT5577 why i have some security question that i never seen before?

    I tried to change my password on apple id and i got some security questions that i never seen before..what can i do in this case?please help me

    Welcome to the Apple Community Helen.
    If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

  • Have some quick questions

    So I have a few questions, been searching online and cannot find answers:
    1.) Do emails count against the 1 GB limit or do they have another limit?
    2.) Can you add on the alacarte items i.e. more users, storage, emails,  etc to any plan or just the webcommerce plan?
    3.) Does anyone have an example of a fully customised forum using business catalyst? I see the standard one and know you can customize but I want to see what is capable. links?
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hey JasonAlanV,
    1. Each individual email account has a 5gb mailbox storage limit. This is separate to your site's disk space.
    2. You can extras to any site. The Partner User will have to do this through the Partner Portal. Additional information can be found in our FAQ located here under "What extras can I add to a site?": http://www.adobe.com/au/products/business-catalyst/faq.edu.html
    3. I'll leave this point open to the community for their examples. However, I recommend you refer to our Showcase located here: http://www.businesscatalyst.com/showcase

  • Before I buy an RV220W, I have some preliminary questions...

    I'm in the process of moving and relocating services from Provider-A (DSL) to Provider-B (Cable). The new location isn't serviced by Provider-A (or any other DSL provider in the area), so I'm left with the only Cable Internet provider in the area. It's a much more costly option, and leaves me with less functionality, but unfortunately, it's all there is.
    My DSL provider has given me a router that provides firewall, router, filter, etc. capabilities, and this allows me to secure machines on the LAN side, as well as pinhole those machines through the router to expose them to the outside world, via a static IP block I've leased from them.
    When I move to cable, I'll lose the router and firewall, and be left with a 'dumb' cable modem device, capable of... well, not much.
    So I need to toss my unmanaged switches, and buy a firewall, router and managed switch. Herein lies the questions.
    First, here's my thoughts, given the current infrastructure at my location:
    The RV220W has 4 LAN ports on the back, and a WAN port, so I'm thinking that the configuration would look like this:
    {{Internet}} => Cable modem (configured with WAN IP from provider) => RV220W => GS724T-300 managed switch => [LAN hosts]
    In this configuration, the LAN side of the cable modem will plug into the back of the RV220W (LAN1), and then the RV220W will feed the switch (LAN2), which all internal LAN hosts would then be physically cabled to.
    On the LAN side, I have an ESX server with a few dozen VMs on it, some wireless equipment (printer, laptops, etc.) and a few wired devices (microcell, NAS storage device and similar).
    The LAN devices are on 192.168.x.x and 10.0.x.x, and are all working great. The current router pinholes from its public static address (completely separate range from my leased static block) to hosts on the ESX side.
    Can I configure the RV220W to permit incoming traffic on various (custom, named) ports to pinhole their way into the hosts on the ESX side? Some of these hosts will have internal 192.x or 10.x addresses, while others will be mapped to Internet-accessible static IP addresses.
    How many hosts can I run behind the RV220W, before it "runs out" of either configuration values (max # of port mappings?) or before it runs out of bandwidth to service those hosts behind it?
    What else do I need to consider here, so I can keep some hosts on the LAN side protected, and other hosts exposed on a service-by-service or port-by-port basis?
    I'm confident this is the right configuration, I just wanted to be sure before I go making an expensive mistake with new kit.
    Thanks in advance!

    Dear David,
    Thank you for reaching the Small Business Support Community.
    The RV220W features Port Address Translation (PAT), Network Address Port Translation (NAPT), NAT traversal, one-to-one NAT.  I could not find any documentation with the maximum number of NAT entries allowed therefore I suggest you to contact the Small Business Support directly;
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/small-business/sbcountrysupport
    Just in case below I include the RV220W admin guide in case you would like to know how to go about PAT or NAT settings among all router capabilities and features configurations;

    Please do not hesitate to reach me back if there is anything I may assist you with in the meantime. Thank you for your time and patience.

  • New to Editing and Have Some Important Questions

    Greetings All,
    I would consider myself a new editor - only because I feel I have so much to learn. Currently I edit for a local television show that broadcast on a cable network - I have been using makeshift solutions to get the job done - but would like to move into being a total professional.
    Currently I have - Final Cut Studio 2 (will be upgrading to the new release in approx. 2 weeks) - 8 Core Mac Pro (upgraded video card & and extra ram)
    - 23 inch Display (will purchase an additional 30" HD Display in approx. 2 weeks) -Mac Book Pro
    -Adobe After Effects
    I know that I need some sort of deck that can be used to put the tapes in and log and capture into final cut pro - (currently I rec. the footage on dvd and use MPEG to import the footage into Final Cut) - any recommendations on the type of deck I should get - something affordable that is universal that can be used with many types of tapes. Also I have been told that I may need a broadcast monitor - I've also been told that if I get the 30" HD display that I won't need a broadcast monitor- thoughts on this please? As a side not I have a 32 inch 720p flat screen Samsung television could this be used as a monitor? I've heard some discussion about Konika video capture card - after researching I'm still not sure I understand exactly what it's purpose is? Please help - is this something that I will need? What am I missing in my workflow? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated - thanks

    only because I feel I have so much to learn<</div>
    Including where to post. This here's the LiveType forum.
    You don't need one deck, you need a deck specific to every kind of tape you have to use. You probably only need a DVCAM deck. If you need Beta you already know that. If you don't know that, you need to start with a basic video production class at a college or high school. That's not a service we provide here in these forums.
    The 30" Apple Cinema is way more screen than you need for FCP. Save your money and just get another 23".
    Konica does not make capture cards. You may be thinking of Kona, easily researched.
    You may or may not need a broadcast monitor. What you need is the firm knowledge and experience to make that decision on your own.
    My suggestion is to look up a video expert in your market area and prepare your management to pay them for their expertise as a consultant. Your post indicates you have way too much to learn. You can do it in books and in many hours of online research but you're going to spend more time and money doing that than you would simply by hiring someone to do the easy parts for you.

  • Just installed 10.4 and have some installation questions

    I just installed 10.4 and immediately updated it to 10.4.11. Unfortunately, when I installed 10.4, I had to do it as an Erase and Install, because of some issues that were keeping me from being able to Archive and Install. Anyway, I'm in the process of reinstalling all my software. I'll also need to re-create the Classic environment; I've never done this before, because when I first got this G4 it already had both OS 9 & 10 on it. I'd sure appreciate any tips anybody can give me as to what steps to go through to make the process as smooth as possible, and what else, if anything, besides running Repair Permissions I should do before/after/between installations. Any information that anyone can provide will be gratefully appreciated!

    Hi-
    You can install OS 9 after OS X has been installed, though the method varies depending on the OS 9 version that you have. If you have a retail version of OS 9:
    -Start up from the CD, and open the Installer.
    -Click the Options button in the Installer to access the clean installation option.
    -Select the checkbox for clean installation.
    -Install the software.
    If your computer came with Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.2 or 10.3, and a non-bootable Software Restore CD which includes Mac OS 9.2.2, do this:
    -Open Software Restore, and select to restore only Mac OS 9.
    -Open Classic preferences and verify that System Folder (the one that was just installed) is selected for the Classic environment.
    More information is available in this document.
    As everything is "new", you shouldn't need to worry about permissions.

  • I have some general questions about Java

    Is there a such thing as a list of every Exception in Java?
    Is there somewhere I can look at examples of try statements, catch statements I guess tutorials on the basics of Java, like what would constitute these statements.

    Thanks so much. This helps with the questions that I have. I am taking a class, where the only input I'm getting is "feedback". I'm expected to read the chapter, do the assignments, mind you this is the first time I have ever seen Java. Most of the class dropped out and now I see why.
    I asked the questions I did, because I didn't know "what" I understood the books explanation of the try statement pertaining to it's example, but I have nothing to apply "across the board" when it comes to try statements. The links you gave me were great, I now know how to tailor my questions. I will use the example in the link you gave me and try to equate it to my assignment. (This is a perfect example!)
    readFile {
        try {
            open the file;
            determine its size;
            allocate that much memory;
            read the file into memory;
            close the file;
        } catch (fileOpenFailed) {
           doSomething;
        } catch (sizeDeterminationFailed) {
            doSomething;
        } catch (memoryAllocationFailed) {
            doSomething;
        } catch (readFailed) {
            doSomething;
        } catch (fileCloseFailed) {
            doSomething;
    }I know that hitting enter more than once, entering a non integer (7.4), or entering a character "w" will cause a NumberFormatException. I am to enclose the methods in the try statement. Does that mean that I start with try {, then the section of code?  Then I need a statement or code?  This is where I am confused.  I look at the example above and those are actual statements.  Will it come a time when after "try" i will need code?
    What would be my statement? Is this something that I make up? ( I know these questions are dumming it down ALOT but once I get why something is done, I'll get it everytime.) My try statement has to say something to the effect that if the user trys to enter a non-integer value....am I right so far???
    try
    //Calling the user-defined methods
    multiplier = getNumber();
    correct = takeQuiz(multiplier);
    System.out.println("\t\tYou got "+correct+ " correct!" );
    user inputs any invalid, non-integer
    catch (NumberFormatException e)
    }

  • Thinking of switching to FIOS - Have some general questions:

    I am interested in getting FIOS internet and the TV essentials bundle.
    In regards to the free 3 month dvr deal - After the 3 months are over do I have to keep the 19.99 DVR or can I drop down to the HDDVR 15.99?
    With the TV essentials it lists like 250 channels and up to 14 HD channels. What does "up to" mean? Do I get to pick channels or something?
    I have two TV's in my house. If I want the downstairs tv to be able to watch cable do I need to get an additional box?
    Can I connect the FIOS internet to a wireless router so my laptop can connect to it?
    Thanks. I'm just trying to figure out if it is going to be worth it to switch.

    It's the same box. When the 3 months is over you can turn of the Home Media Feature and pay only the 15.99. (when you call many reps on the phone will claim you need to swap boxes but that usually gets sorted out later)
    With the TV essentials it lists like 250 channels and up to 14 HD channels. What does "up to" mean? Do I get to pick channels or something?
    You don't get to pick anything. If you pay for the higher Extreme HD package you get more of the HD versions of channels. If you don't you only get a small number typically the main networks
    I have two TV's in my house. If I want the downstairs tv to be able to watch cable do I need to get an additional box?
    Some TVs have a built-in QAM Tuner. If your TV has one it can play some channels. This TV would not get any on-screen guide or Video on Demand  (the ones below channel 50 ) without a box.
    Some TVs can use a Cablecard. If you order a cablecard (monthly fee) you don't need a box. This TV would not get any on-screen guide or Video on Demand
    Otherwise you need a box. There is a low cost version that is smaller and gives all channels but no guide or Video on demand. They are usually 3.99
    Can I connect the FIOS internet to a wireless router so my laptop can connect to it?
    Your install with come with a Verizon provided wireless router. Just make sure the router is placed in a location that will allow your laptop to connect.
    You also have options to use your own router. You can review the options in the NETWORKING section of this FAQ guide http://www.dslreports.com/faq/verizonfios
    Thanks. I'm just trying to figure out if it is going to be worth it to switch.

  • Still have some configuration questions for SSD/HDDs and Pr Pro (laptop)

    Hi guys,
    So I recently asked a question regarding configurations for a new Toshiba Qosmio (being delivered in 2 days)  I've done a lot of reading and have become somewhat more educated and somewhat more confused.  I'm having the X70-ABT3G22 custom built with an i7-4700MQ, a 256GB mSATA SSD, 2 matching 500GB (7200rpm Serial-ATA) HDDs, a 3GB GeForce GTX 770M, and 32GB DDR3L 1600MHZ SDRAM.
    It was suggested that I RAID 0 the 2 HDDs, which sounds like a great idea.  My question then, is the configuration of Premiere Pro with the - now 2 drives left.  I was reading about disk set-up on http://ppbm7.com/index.php/tweakers-page/84-disk-setup/95-disk-setup  which was very informative.  But the information there suggests that if I have 2 drives, I should consider adding a 3rd.
    At this point, there's no room for a third internal drive because the 2 have been striped to make 1, The SSD is obviosly for the OS and programs. And if Premier Pro functions more efficiently by spreading the workload over at least 3 disks, would I be better off by not striping the 2 matching HDDs and spreading the workload out?  Or should I stripe the 2 internal drives and use a USB 3.0 flash drive for the previews, media cache, or exports? Or stripe the 2 HDDs and just work with the 2 internal drives without anything external?  I'm looking for suggestions from you guys for the best way to configure this particular set-up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Serioulsy.
    Thanks again
    Todd

    I do not know if a USB3 RAID box would be any better than my simple experiment that I tried.  See my thread for item 2 in the first post.  I bought a 2 1/2" external enclosure which I researched extensively for what sounded like it had an optimized SATA III to USB3 interface.  I put one of the fastest SSD drives I am aware of (Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB) in it to see what the performance would be.  When I put this SSD in my laptop directly on an internal SATA III with my PPBM6/7 benchmark it gives me a Premiere write transfer rate of almost 500 MB/second.  When I put the same drive in the external USB3 enclosure the Premiere write transfer is limited to slightly less than 200 MB/second which probably better than a most hard disk drives, but now where near taking advantage of the speed capability.
    The answer to your question is yes, you can use an external hard drive RAID enclosure effectively but do not expect much more speed from that device.  You will have more reliability if you set it up for the right RAID mode.  Using hard drives you will have much greater capacity than SSD's offer.  The only disadvantages with a large multidisk USB3 enclosure is you will always have to have another AC cord to plugin and dragging a large disk enclosure around is a pain.  The small 2 1/2" enclosure above is self powered and highly portable.
    Do not believe many of the advertised read/write rates of these USB3 devices, specifically the write rates are not what you can achive in real life applications.
    I just checked and your Toshiba laptop does not have eSATA so I think you are limited to only USB3 peripherals.

  • HT1751 I've read at least ten articles and I still have some unanswered questions.  1. How do you get several libraries on an external disk back into one spot on Itunes? Will it take up space on the Mac osx that I have very little space on?

    I have several itunes libraries after moving them and losing them, and recreating new ones.  How do I get them all back together?  I have a Macboook Pro OSX 10.6. My newest library is currently being directed to an external drive.  I have files that I moved around improperly and don't know where they all go now.  I'm pretty good with it all if someone can explain. Nothing I've read explains how to find your lost libraries on an external drive and put them into one place.
    If you have it on an external drive and do not have the space on the hard drive can you still do the library/organize/consolidate feature and have files available without the external drive attatched?  I just don't know how I will get all the files into itunes without taking up a bunch of space.
    Thank you so much!

    I'm confused as to why you would need or even want multiple iTunes libraries... but that's not really relevant.
    It certainly is possible to have the iTunes library reside entirely on an external drive.
    The organize/consolidate feature will work with an external drive but the drive must be connected.  How would you expect this to work without the drive connected?  iTunes cannot magically move files to consolodate them on a drive that's not connected.
    I"m not really certain what you mean by "get them all back together".  iTunes libraries are not "together".  If you've got multiple libraries they are seperate...there is simply no other way to make that happen.
    Realistically, if this hasn't helped, it's going to be up to you to explain why you have/need multiple iTunes libaries so that we can offer specific details on how to resolve the issue and possibly a better solution.

  • Ipods suck : Considering buying a Creative Zen 32gb, I have some SD questions

    ? My? 20gig ipod died......again. I never realised how bad ipods are . They are WHITE DEATH
    So i'm looking for a replacement. I used to have a Vision M 30gb? but trying to find a new one? is impossible and they are VERY expensi've as they are so rare
    I looked at the Newer creative mp3 players but from the reviews they seem to have a few flaws i dont like plus very expensi've .
    So i've settled on the Creative Zen 32. I tend to carry around a lot of audio so i am considering adding on a SD card
    I'm selecting one that has the right compatibility?but I wanted to ask is it possible? to creative playlists for mp3 on the SD card
    Having the mp3's organised and not a jumbled mess is what i'm worried about .
    Has this been fixed?
    p.s. I tried searching but when you search for 'creative zen' you get every other version of the zen as well

    Zens are great durable mp3-players, so it's a good choice. But so are iPods. A friend of mine has the same iPod he had 5 years ago. You are saying you are having problems with your iPod. Maybe it's just bad luck, but it might happen that you will be dissapointed again with a Zen.
    I have a screen protector and a protection case my zen, I never put it in my pants pocket, unless I really have no other choice. My Zen broke after 2 months (it didn't connect anymore), but those things can happen. mp3-players are fragile, but the Zen is the best player I have experienced (and that are a lot of players, with my destruction rate ).

  • I have some Iphone questions, reguarding the original and plans.

    So say I buy an original Iphone, could I simply put my sim card in the phone, but an unlimited data plan and feel free to use 3g as I want to?
    Or do I have to unlock the phone to do this?

    Sorry, meant Edge.
    So I'm basically asking, I don't need a seperate plan to get Edge access, correct?
    I can just add a data plan to my family plan?
