I have some loops from acid 5 which I have dragged in a folder to the loop browser. Some of them retain the folder name in the View: and some don't. I have had some that seem to go in but I can't find them. Where should I look?

It may be best to recreate the folder and the smart playlists from scratch.

Inbox says I have unread messages but I can't find them
My inbox says I have 45 unread messages (and the number gets higher every day) but I can't find them. I have gone through all my emails but everything has been read. How do I fix this?
This was driving me crazy as well. Here is how I solved it:
1. Right click on Inbox and Mark all as read
2. Go to each subfolder and Mark All Read
3. Run outlook.exe /cleanviews (enter it in Start panel to run this command)
4. Close Outlook and restart as Administrator
5. Again Mark all read (repeat in subfolders)
6. Close and restart normally
The unread count disappeared. No clue where this ghostly email resided, but given that I checked
all subfolders, I feel ok that I did not miss anything. Be sure to check your rules too, in case you are moving incoming messages and don't remember setting up such a rule.

Did you ever restore your last iCloud backup? That contains you camera roll photos & videos, text messages, app data, settings, etc. It will also redownload your apps and other purchased media.

I lost my iPhone and I was hoping that my photos were being saved to iCloud, but I can't find them anywhere. I read that iCloud saves them for thirty days, but where?
You are referring to Photo Stream. Photo Stream syncs the photos taken with your device to all of your device.
It's not a photo storage service, so photos are deleted 30 days after being added to Photo Stream. You can't access to your Photo Stream photos from http://www.icloud.com, but only from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (using the Photos app), Mac (using iPhoto '11 or Aperture 3 with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion) or PC (with iCloud Control Panel).
In all of these devices, you have the option of copying them to the device, so they will be kept after 30 days -
my computer had a virus and got scrubbed. So now my iTunes songs are on my iPhone4 but I can't get them all back on my iTunes account. Anybody know what I should do? I see 124 songs on my itunes account and 1123 on my iphone. Really would hate to lose them

Hi, I've purchased a few films from itunes (and they are listed as Purchased in my account), but I can't find them on my computer or my itunes account, and itunes wants me to pay for them again. How do I get around this? I've tried all the suggestions, and it's hugely frustrating.
If you are in the UK, and the film studio allows re-downloading, and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they might show under the Purchased link under Quinklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page for re-downloading - if they don't show then check to see if they are hidden (hiding and unhiding).
But you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup of your downloads and noy rely on being able to re-download any item as they are occasionally removed from the store by the content provider (film studio, tv company, record company etc). -
I downloaded some podcasts, but I can't find them. Where are they?
I just downloaded 17 podcasts episodes. The iTunes confirms that they're in the iPhone (4S), but I can't find them.
I already looked in the "Music" section, "More", etc. But the "Podcasts" item it's no there. Neither in the "Video" section.
Do I need an app to make they work?

Is your "home computer" the same as your laptop or are these two different machines?

I downloaded the Vevo and Cityville apps, and iTunes says they're on my iPod, but I can't find them. Is there some place they go on the iPod?
Try using the Spotligh search feature on the iPod. To get there, swipe the Home screen fully to the right.
Also, if they are Games, they could be in the Game Center.folder -

Since you've posted your question in iTunes forum, I assume you have downloaded these Podcasts into iTunes and that you cannot find them in iTunes. Is that correct?

Did you download them through iTunes as Podcasts? You would have seen them appear in the iTunes Download window.
Or did you download them directly from the ABC website, as MP3 files to a folder on your computer? -
When I attempt to open Firefox instead of Firefox opening, an error message appears saying "Firefox is already running but isn't responding. How do I recover photos that are in my library but I can't find the files?
After uploading pics of a car accident I was involved in (to iPhoto 6), I moved them to a separate folder. Now they appear at the top of the iPhoto screen in the Library, and the information appears in the lower left hand corner, but I can't view them, and they're no longer in the folder I moved them to.
These pics might save me a lot of money, so I would very much appreciate a solution.It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss
Where did you move them to? Did you do this using the Finder? This would explain why iPhoto can't find them.
Of course you backed up this important data, right?
Try a spotlight search for them
Kind -> Images
Size -> greater than -> 100kb
Search the whole comuter. It'll find every image.
If they're not in there, then you have trashed them.
You may have some luck revocering them using something like File Salvage

Recovering photos that might not be permanently gone, but I can't find them
I had just finished sorting through the smart folder "All Photos" in the finder window, deleting duplicates and old photos. I wanted a fresh start in iPhoto, so I deleted all the photos- thinking I could import the photos from "All Photos" back into iPhoto.
I tried that, and it didn't work. I thought about going into Documents > Pictures, but the only place that had ALL the photos was - yes - "All Photos".
I had an idea to just drag the folder into the iPhoto icon in the dock.
They vanished.
I can't find them in the trash, and I went to go Edit > Undo, it said that it can't be undone.
There's over 5,000 pictures and a LOT of time spent sifting through all of them.

Note for the future - do not use the all images smart folder in the finder to delete photos if you are using iPhoto - You are very likely to create problems - especially since what appear to be duplicates in the all images folder are not - the iPhoto library has two or maybe three different versions of each photo all with the same name but not duplicates, different versions
What does the all images folder show now? You mentioned trying to get photos from them the pictures folder - what do you have there?

If you still have photos on your system that you want in iPhoto quit iPhoto an drag the iPhoto library to the desktop and launch iPhoto and create a new library and import those photos into iPhoto
I strongly recommend that you not use the finder to manage photos that are being managed by iPhoto - if you do you will have more problems
