I need to fix some footage that is good except audio was so loud bass has major distortion when listening to it. In the event it can not be repaired, I need to at least get it so it is not so noticeable. I am open to any and all suggestions.

Sebastian, its an issue with the entire recording being overdriven. I don't know much about post-production audio processing but, I had the same problem with a concert shoot I did for my school. If you did a multi-cam shoot see if you have good (or better) audio from one of the other shoots. I was fortunate enough to end up with better audio on one of the cameras. If you want to try messing around with the eq you could do that, I'd probably try reducing gain or using a compressor first. I ended up having to use some of the ****** audio I got, and just dropping the level helped make it less noticeable. If you think the EQ will work, which it might, I'd start in the middle (around 250-1K range) and work your way down. The downside of messing around with the EQ is that once you do achieve your goal of getting all that distortion out, you have really ****** sounding audio. If you just drop the gain or level it can make the distortion less noticeable without comprimising the original mix.

Without seeing the clips, it would be difficult to give specific advice. In general, I'd suggest you add the Color Corrector 3 Way filter to the clips, and use the controls in that filter to make your adjustments.
But we don't know the reason your clips look dark. Could be they just need a boot to the whites, or maybe the mids.
Could you post a link to a still shot or a short video that shows the problem?

A Windows app needs Windows. An OS X app needs OS X.
You can install and run Windows and Windows apps natively on an Intel Mac.

I have exactly the same problem. The interesting thing is that the file opens when I attach it to an email and open it out of the email. I already saw the advice you provided in similar post from Aug last year and checked the security settings of the file and the folder. But according to that I have all rights.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

Why not just purchase a used camcorder on eBay? Another option would be to use a Hi8 to DVD Transfer service such as http://www.memoryhub.com/convert/hi8-to-dvd

Can you rule out the NoScript extension as a cause of the issues on those sites? Even if you allow the main site to run scripts, often a website will spread its content over additional servers, so you may need to visit the "S" button menu a second or third time to get full functionality. (Over time, you'll recognize some the servers as being for ads, tracking, or sharing buttons and you can just let those parts of the page not work.)

Hello. I have some .mov files that I am able to open with Quick time on my pc but not on my mac. I even tried downloading quick time 7 but still no progress. Is there anything else I can do?

I can not open my.mov files on my mac. I would like too. I use to b able to look at them but for some reason i can not. I tried downloading quick time 7 but i have had no luck. Mavericks changed how media was handled on OS X. Apple moved away from the old Quicktime frameworks (that were started in the 80's IIRC). Now the OS uses AVFramework. It is why Quicktime X (QTX) & Quicktime 7 (QT7) can play different formats.
QT7 used a series of codec plugins (encoder/ decoder) to add support for formats that Apple never supported (like DIVX, WMV, Ogg audio etc). Many users installed plugins like Perian to add these codecs via a simple installer. Perian may still work on QT7 apps, I haven't tested Perian on 10.10. Perian is clearly out of date & abandoned now, see perian.org or see the site of the old codec.
AVFoundation & QTX has no ability to add extra codecs - you get support because the format is correct for AVFoundation to play, you get a dialog that converts the movie or the third option is that AVFoundation can't convert & simply chokes & doesn't allow playback.
Apple have nothing to fix. The reason the movies don't play is because the new framework uses 64bit for everything. The older codecs are not 64bit & since Apple didn't write those codecs they won't fix them either. It may seem like I'm apologising for Apple, but it isn't entirely their fault, things move on.
I'm afraid you need to work out what codecs you have contained in the files (.mov is just a wrapper around the data - the codec is the key to reading the data). mediainfo can help with that

It will list the details of the codecs - from there you need to find an app that will convert to a supported format.
It sounds like you have a sound format that is not compatible with AVFoundation - that means all apps the rely on AVfoundataion no longer play those files (Finder & iMovie use AVFoundataion).

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

I have some .PSD files that I am wondering if I can access once I download Adobe Creative Cloud?

I have some photos saved in a .psd format on my computer from a photographer. I have not downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud yet, but plan on downloading it so I can access these photos in addition to all of the other tasks I will be using it for throughout the year. Does anyone know if once I download Adobe Creative Cloud if I will be able to putt up these .psd files in Photoshop?

I had some trouble with my computer awhile ago, where it was having trouble starting up sometimes either just sitting there at the initial loading screen or sometimes just crashing, periodically I would get the mac version of DOS I guess you could call it.
Anyway one suggestion I got on here was to zero out the data on the hard drive and then do a reinstall of the start up disc. This work wonderfully. And after it worked I made sure to partition the drive in case this were to happen again I would atleast keep my stuff and only have to replace the start up drive. Unfortunately, it did happen again but the solution worked again. Yah! But now just a few week after it happened the second time, the problem has returned with a vengence.
I've tried to zero out the data on the start drive numerous times. But whenever I try to reinstall the start up disc it gets an error and quits (it just says error, not very specific). I'm planning to take it to an apple store (by the way do they actually do repairs if anyone knows?) but since I'm away at school that may be a few days maybe even a week since I don't have a car and I would like to keep my down time to a minimun.
i ran a hardware check and came up with these error message:

I think its a memory problem partially because of the MEM part but also since it looked like it was checking the memory at the time the error popped up.
Sorry if the information is kinda sparse but if I could get any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Preferably if they helped me not loose what info I still had on the hard drive but at this point I'll take any answer.
I'm assuming that doing a full zero-out of the data might solve the problem but I kinda want to save that as a last resort incase no other solution come up.

Well I got a chance to try it but not until after a few failed attempts to load the startup disc installer disc prompted me to format the entire drive since with how much difficulty I was having to get it to load, I might not have another chance to fix it that way if that was what was causing the problem.
Anyway, I took out of the memory "sticks" and ran a hardware check and it got the same type of error message as before. Tried it with just the other stick and it came up clean. Hopefully that's my only problem. Thanks for the help. I guess from here I'll try to do a reinstall of the startup disc with just that one stick working and then go to an apple store to see about getting that memory replaced the next time I can.
