Apple has lowered prices on many battery replacements to around the US$150 range. The quality of third-party batteries varies widely, but they must generally be cheaper than that (or no one would buy them).

The question mark means the computer cannot find a bootable volumes so can;t do anything, That, combined with annoying sounds, strongly suggests a failed hard drive.
You can ask a "genius" at an Apple Rtail Store to test it but I'm pretty sure the drive is kaput. I'm hoping you had your data backed up. -

I have two problems with my 2012 13” MacBook Pro.
Gray screen shows at startup
Randomly disconnects from network.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.First, open Terminal in your Utilities folder and paste this into the prompt line:
sudo update_dyld_shared_cache
Press RETURN. You will be prompted to enter your admin password which will not be echoed to the screen. Press RETURN again.
Next, boot the computer into Safe Mode.
Next, do the following:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -
Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 on my iPad 3, my battery capacity has drained almost 10% per hour without any use of the device. Prior to the upgrade, the battery charge would hold during periods of inactivity. What can I do to solve this significant problem? Is there a way to uninstall iOS 7.0.4 and return to the previous version?
Downgrading isn't supported.
You can poke around in the settings. There's a lot of stuff defaulted to on that you may not need, such as notifications.
You can also look into background app refresh and background app updates. They can be running in the background and drain your battery. -

Sorry for my bad EnglishIf I understand you correctly with respect to the term "progressivement", you belive the Apple logo used to fade off before your update to 10.7.2? Is that correct? If so, the Apple logo is actually lit by the backlight from your display (it is simply a cutout in the cover letting the backlight through). It has never faded, it should just go off. As you just got your machine in September, perhaps you just never noticed.
However, if you are saying that the logo does not go off, that would mean that your display is not sleeping (which would mean your system is not sleeping when you close the lid). -
I have a problem with lion. My MacBook pro froze and now I get a gray folder with a question mark.
I recently upgraded to lion but my screen just froze. I had to shut it down by holding the power button down. Every time I tried to start it again I got a grey folder with a question mark and couldn't do a thing. I' ve been told to restore snow leopard but I dont want to loose my files or email. What can I do?
Boot from your recovery partition. Check and if necessary repair your startup volume with Disk Utility. You may need to reinstall Lion.

every time i try to download firfox as a browser it tells me the file is corrupt.
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Yes, the iBook should run even with no battery installed.
These are the four most common possibilities when the battery will not charge:
(1) there is something wrong with your battery
(2) there is something wrong with your power adapter
(3) there is something wrong with your power input board (the part that contains the port where you plug in the adapter)
(4) there is something wrong with your logic board
Since you have eliminated all the possibilities except (4), it is likely that your logic board is having problems. The PMU (Power Management Unit) is part of the logic board, and it may be going out (hence, temporarily working again when you reset it). Since the iBook is not running reliably without the battery in place (as it should), replacing the battery most likely would be futile.
When a computer gets to be five years old, it seems a bit short-sighted to pay very much for repairs, just to have something else go wrong sooner rather than later. Have you had a look at the hugely improved specs on the new MacBooks? Is it time for a new portable to avoid embarrassment during your presentations? It sounds like that could be your best option. -

Hi guys. i have some problem with a link from a pdf on-line,when i click on it,the page adds a "%" at the and of the link and says "page not found" because of it.
This happens only when a load my pdf file on my server, because if i click on the link when the file is on my iPad, the page opens without problem.

thanxthe % sign is often used when there's a space in a name. HTML doesn't like spaces so it fills them with % or %20
try, on the end of that link, see if there's a space built into the page or the link when the page was made
On the web address you may be able to 'backspace' at the end and erase that space to get the address, but whomever made the page possibly put a mistake in the link -

Can I define in View object that I don't need label and want all attributes in Panel Label and Message element?
