I have songs on my iPhone 6 that I can't remove and when I plug into iTunes and go to "Summary" and "On This Device" the songs don't show up but they are on my phone. How do I remove them? Not even sure how they got on actually.

Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete.

Syncing does not backup photos.
Backing up only backs up the photos taken with the device but is not a solution to maintaining you precious photos.
It is the user's responsibility to copy the photos taken with the device off the device to the computer. Same goes for videos taken with the device.
Media on the device has never been included in a backup.
Sorry, but if you've lost the device (or it's been stolen) and you've failed to manage your data on the device, it is gone. -
My sons ipod touch has frozen on a black screen with a waiting symbol rotating on it. We cant get it to turn on or off. When I tried to attach it to his itunes page we got the message "Cannot connect ipod error code OXE8000065". When I try to dio a search for the problem I keep getting told to resynch it but I cant!! Is this a common problem or do I need to send ipod back he has only had it 10 months

Restore from previous backup, be sure use the same iTunes and account you used to store your stuff into your device.

Have iphone 3g with 5.0 I downloaded 5.01 for phone and itunes latest download. Had errors on download and needed to restore. Everything came back except apps.
Pluged into itunes and it gave me the restore screen. restored again. Now when i plug into itunes it shows my phone but freezes up. I need to use task master to close itunes. Went to apple store tech. No help said to use Icloud but no WiFi is available. My wife's phone works fine with itunes.Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have gone through ALL the above steps and are still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation. -
my iphone died and when I plugged it in to charge a usb cord came up on the screen at the bottom then an error on top of it pointing to the itunes logo is the only thing my phone shows on the screen, what do I do?
You could try restoring and staying away from that backup. I've had that happen to me before on my iPhone 4 from a corrupt backup. You could be coincidently mixing the two issues, sounds to me like you got lucky and your phone is A-OK but you may be using a corrupt backup.

hold down the on/off button and then square button at the same time, then once the phone turns off, turn it back on and plug it into your computer... this is what I did and my phone is now on...however; it says it is in recovery mode and i need to restore it to its original settings

I clicked the button in my setting thatz is saying "software update iOS 6.1.2. It turned off and now My iPad 2 is stuck on a black screen that has the iTunes symbol and a charger that I'm guessing means "plug into iTunes". I did so and then waited four hours to download something. And now it is saying that its going to update my iPad but it isn't working. I tried to "update" twice. I had an iTunes account on an old computer with over 300 songs then when I updated my computer to the MacBook Pro it deleted all my songs when I signed into iTunes. Is there a way I can get those songs back?
Did you put the songs on the new computer?
You should copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

This did not happen by syncing with iTunes alone. The Camera Roll is not included or touched with the iTunes sync process.
The first time you connect a new iPhone to iTunes that has been used to sync with another iPhone, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone to the new iPhone, or set up as a new iPhone or don't transfer the backup for the previous or old iPhone. You chose the former, which replaced the Camera Roll on your new iPhone with the Camera Roll for your previous iPhone. This was followed by a sync with iTunes.
If you didn't import the photos from the Camera Roll on your new iPhone with your computer as with any other digital camera before you chose to transfer the backup for your old or previous iPhone to your new iPhone, the photos that were in the Camera Roll on your new iPhone are gone.
