I have sony handycam, trying to import, nearly 20 hours on "Optimizing"...what is wrong?
I just bought mac last night....
Trying to import movies from my sony handycam to my mac, and for the past 20 hours it has said, "Optimizing Video" with no progress bar moving....
What is wrong?
Does the video camera need to be converted first?
If so, how do I convert from my camcorder to mac?
Please help.

Try deleting your fcp icon from the dock, then open up applications and drag fcp back into the dock. That usually works.

Every time I open the app injustice my iPod gives me a message that says: " Warning, this device is not officially supported. You may experience low performance and instability." I have never jail broken my iPod and I don't know what's wrong. Ideas?

15+ year Sony Handycam - how to import to iMovie 05
I have boxes (about 30) of small 8mm video tapes I'd like to import into iMovie 05. (5.0.2 ) Apple sold me a Canopus digital video converter - I feed the camera into that, and the firewire into the computer. Follow numerous directions, but nothing happens! The computer recognizes the converter, says "camera cannected" and "camera playing" but no images, even when I manually push "play" on camera. Have to wait 4 days for a CarePlus appointment.

Does Your Handycam work when You connect it to a standars TV-set ?
If so. You connect Your Canopus in the same way. Analog out on Your
Camera to the RCA in connectors or using the S-video connector.
Then the Canopus via the FW to Your Mac.
You can't control the camera from the Mac but has to put the Camera in
playback/VCR mode and press play (as when showing on the TV)
Now click on import if You got a picture. If not You probably has to
switch the Canopus to Analog-mode. Picture now ?
If not You should test each part so that Camera, Analog-wire, Canpus and
FW-wire really are OK.
If You just tested FinalCutExpress or pro on Your Computer there is a known
problem with this. Some files doesn't work together and import / export in
iMovie use to stop worknig.

brand new ipod classic 160gb will not restore. have tried all steps with no fix. Also tried steps on a different computer with same results. anu help?
if you own a mac try to re format the disc to journal.
If you are on a windows like me, try to reformat the disc to NTFS. Then it will display that you need to restore as the ipod is in recovery mode. It restored with success. and voila, brand new working ipod. -
Help with Time Machine for iMac.... Trying to back up iMac on to 2 TB external Hard Drive... it backed up 24.87 GB or the 459.29 GB and stopped.... now have a pinwheel... should I start over or let it work through?
Please read and use Time Machine FAQs & Time Machine Troubleshooting. If those do not solve your problem then please repost in the version of OS X you are using. Time Machine is part of OS X therefore you will find the most information for it there. For example if you are using Snow Leopard then use that forum.

Its not my ipod because its the same when I have them plugged into a computer. I have tried cleaning it, other people have listened to it and have said the same thing. As far as I know there has been no damage to them and the are still under warrenty. Is it worth getting them looked at or just buying another pair, or is it something simple that I have done?
Forst confirm there is a problem with the iPod and not the earphones. If it is the iPod:
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to one side.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

Movies & TV shows I have from I-Tunes are currently not able to play on my Apple Tv unit.
I have unplugged numerous times ,updated ,reset modem,put back to factory settings,

how can this be remedied?I'm having the same issue on Apple TV 3. I can play the content on my computer, iphone or iPad but I can't on my Apple TV. I just bought Guardians of the Galaxy via my Apple TV and the purchase went through but when I try to play the content I get this error. However I tried renting a movie and guess what? I can play rentals just fine. This is only effecting Apple TV. Not just movies though, I can't play my iTunes music either. This is BS it's been going on for days now. Tried resetting the appletv to factory defaults and reconfiguring it and nothing.
I Want acknowledgement from apple that there is an issue and they are working to resolve It.

Ive been using this brand new iphone 4s for barely a month now and then all of a sudden, it lost its sound! but when i use my headphones, it works. when i take it off, it doesnt! grrr... what should i do?

I have uninstalled iTunes several times and reinstalled it on my PC running Window 7 with all updated loaded. When I click on the iTunes Store Box, Nothing happens except for a message that reads:
iTunes has stopped working.
The following items give me a choice, but no answer comes up. The computer will shut down the website.

There is an item below the box that is selectable for View problem details. When clicked a long list of items show up. I have listed some of the problems as written, but I do not understand them. I know the iTunes Store has been available on earlier versions of of iTunes but is not on this version. How can we go back and download an earlier version of iTunes?

Application Timestamp: 50c8fc7e"I had this exact same problem. I found this fix and it worked for me.
Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you. I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

I have done following to no avail
1. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 2. Check and reseat the fuser and toner cartridge to make sure they are not hindering gear movement in the drive train. 3. Check the main motor’s cable to ensure that it is seated properly. 4. If the error persists, replace the main motor (not done).

PeterAfter installing Windows 8 (64-bit) then Visual Studio 2012 (or 2013) then the latest 64-bit iTunes app, I got the 0x80073715 error.
What finally worked for me was:
1) Get all the Windows updates and hotfixes - especially the ones for Visual Studio.
2) Go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14431 and download the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update"
3) Only install vcredist_x64.exe.
After running these steps, I was able to completely install iTunes on my Windows 8 64-bit instance.

i have an ipod trying to import my pictures frommy ipod to my macbook using iphoto. so i went into iphoto and i can see my ipod under devices and when i click on it, it opens saying loading.... but no images are coming up no matter how how i have waited. how to fix this? or how to see my images?
