If you subscribed to Creative Cloud, you should be able to access your membership as soon as your purchase is confirmed using your associated Adobe ID.

Mine didn't come with a serial number. I bought a student/teacher edition of Creative Suite 6. I've gone through and completed the validation process and was told I would recieve an email containing the serial number. I still haven't gotten that email. I've done the online chat (no help at all) and currently I'm making my 5th phone call to Adobe's call center. On all previous attempts, I've had to leave a call back number due to 2hour wait times(never got a call). I understand it gets busy but I feel there's a huge lack of support, or care, for anyone who bought an adobe product. I spent $349 on this... school and living is already too expensive for me. Please don't tell me I've wasted precious money on this.

For creative suite 6 - now what? I have scanned my student ID like it told me to do, but I don't know where to send it or how to start the downloading process. I just keep getting the page that says "eligibility verification" and going thru the same steps over and over again.

Wanting to transfer itunes library from old computer to new one. Support says to leave my phone # but asks for the serial number from my hardware. Instructions are given as to locating the serial number on Apple products but i have a PC, not a Mac. Where is the serial number? Or, how do i transfer library?

You don't have one that's applicable.
You may not get support on free software anyway.

I imagine it's right under my nose - but I do not see it anywhere.
The screen which appears (after I sign in) says:
Am I supposed to "Start Trial" or "License This Software"
To make things even more confusing:
I just ran LightRoom 5 for the first time.
There was a serial number automatically inserted in the space provided.
Not sure what's going on - but this is becoming a little overwheling.
I suppose it's the price I must pay for being an old fart!

Hi. Sorry, but I don't have any good news for ya.
My issue has been resolved, however - it was due to a lengthy chat I had online with an Adobe Associate.
We were able to get everything running the way 'twas intended,
but there were some hoops of fire with which I had to jump.
Wish I could help....but the only thing I can say is to attempt a "Live Chat"
With the Adobe help team.

Ok, it looks like I couldn't contact the servers, but the Adobe application did not tell me anything: no feedback. I have gone into C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and removed all the firewall IP filters, and photoshop opens. You can then revert the hosts file to get all your anti-spam and adblocking filters and photoshop still opens. To be clear, Adobe seems to be using some special ip address to tell your app that it's licensed, this address could be on any number of spam blacklists (because I guess it's used to phone hime about app usage and sell you stuff). So check your hosts file, OR check your work firewall / router.
@Adobe, help people out, just say 'unable to contact license servers'. When your infrastructure fails, and paying customers mysteriously get trial software, it makes Creative Cloud look broken, and frustrates the people you want to give you money.

Where is my serial number on the Photoshop Elements 6. Not on box. Only a bar code sticker = which I tried and did not work either. Not inside on disk. not on inside cover of disk case. I purchased the product on Dec 31, 2007 at Staples. I installed on January 3, 2008. Now I can not reinstal without the serial number. I am very frustrated. I have been waiting for an answer for three days now. I tried everything on your web page help site. Still no serial number. Help.

If you had already installed PSE and registered it, you should be able to find your serial number by going to the main page of adobe.com, clicking on My Adobe (up at the top right side of the page last time I checked, but it moves around), then working your way down through the links there.

Two months ago I had to bend over backwords to find CS2 for Photoshop (The free one they offered years ago) And recently I upgraded my computer only to go through much hassle of acquiring the serial number. Today I had to wipe my computer and I am in the process of re-installing everything and my account has no serial number for me store on my account. Are Serial numbers a one time use? If not, where's my serial number?

I participated and registered online with adobe. I have the copy of it on my Work Laptop. I have since then upgraded to a PC in January. With no issues I registered it on my PC. But due to a system restart, I needed CS2 again Mid-March. Having once found my serial number on adobe.com I installed it previously with much success. Now it seems the serial number I used before has gone missing. Leading me to think the serial number was temporary Or its as "Ned" claims and the server went buh-bye and I a left without any Photoshop tools on my PC. What are existing users supposed to do with CS2 if they get a new device now?? Because essentially that's whats happening to me.

Toshiba must have or should have provided you with a CD/DVD and seril number with the machine. however, if PSe is freezing then the first thing you need to try is to reset it to default settings. This can be done in two ways but the easiest ay to do is to go to (I am mentioning only the one method here):
<C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0\Editor>
Find the file called: Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Prefs.psp and rename it to: Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Prefs.old
For username you need to insert the correct username or Windows profile name. Also, when you are doing this, make sure PSE is closed completely i.e. you should not have it open to do any work.
I am assuming you know how to browse the relevant folders if they are hidden in the system because this is taken for granted here. Also, the file names may not have any extensions but I am sure you know how to make them display on the screen.

If you got it from B&H photo they will correct the problem. Probably way easier to deal with than Adobe. I have used them for years. There used to be (I think still is) a guy at B&H and took care of problems.

Usually, WalMart's pretty good with gift cards. Usually. (Stuff happens, okay? )
Anyplace that carries them is usually pretty good, especially if you have your receipt. In my area, Safeway and Albertsons are pretty good. I also have a Mac Store (NOT an Apple Store, but carries Apple products) that's good, and Best Buy is also good.
