it already marked on my credit card. when i log in my itunes on pc, it is already subscribed but when i turn on the itunes match on my iphone 4s and 5, it says that i need to subscribe itunes match via itunes on my pc. which i already did

You need to be signed into the mobile iTunes Store with the same Apple ID used to purchase iTunes Match. On the iPad go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Tap sign out. Then sign in with the correct Apple ID and you should be able to enable iTM on the iPad.

  • HT204406 Started iTunes Match and the songs are individually available but none of my playlists are on my apple tv yet looking at the playlists from my iTunes on my mac there looks to me no issues

Started iTunes Match and the songs are individually available  on my apple TV, and there is a tab for playlists. Yet the only playlists available are the Preset itunes generated 4: 90's music, Classical Music videos, and Recently Added. Yet even the recently Added playlist does not contain my most recelty added music purchased form iTunes and shows that is in the Cloud. None of my other playlists are on my apple tv yet looking at the playlists from my iTunes on my mac, there looks to be no issues relating to them and the cloud. Even tried making a new playlist. It made no difference. It would be nice to figure out how to have my music available on my TV without having to open up my computer everytime. Yes I know I can use my cell phone but, I'd like to put my photos to music and to set that up I need the Itunes Match playlists to WORK

Hi I had exactly the same problem, I don't know if you setup your Apple TV before you subscribed to iTunes I match? If you did then I did the same and although all my songs showed up on my Apple TV none of my playlist did.
This is how I fixed it I went into settings on the Apple TV menu and reset the device back to factory default, I then setup the unit again adding in my iTunes username and password etc, ticked the bix that says turn on I match and then went into music
It took a few moments but it said updating once this finished I checked playlists and all my playlists as per my desktop PC were showing up!
I hope this Helios resolve your problem too :)

  • How do I send a shared pages document? I hit share but it keeps saying I need to set up iCloud email, which I already have

How to email a shared document in pages?

I'm afraid I'm totally unfamiliar with web galleries. I have never posted one. But it is my understanding that you need to create a password for the gallery when you upload it to the web. It is a password that you need to create. After you have it posted, and you are able to log in and view the gallery, all you should have to do is copy the link that is displayed in your browser while the gallery is being displayed. You can paste that link into an e-mail along with any instructions on what the recipient has to do (i.e. any password or username) and send that e-mail to your recipient. I know this isn't much help because you are having difficulty logging into the webpage. But that is something you will have to resolve first.

That's not an Apple ID. That is your admin account which you can view in System Preferencs > Accounts or Users & Groups.
If I switch from MobileMe to iCloud on my Mac (under the apple logo) will my devices work and sync in iCloud.  I have no idea how I go 2 IDs
Just use your current Apple ID when you setup your iCloud account that you use for your devices.

On i-pad, when I try to enable itunes match, it says, "you are not currently subscribed to iTunes Match. Use iTunes on your computer to subscribe." I am subscribed though! Then it says no to my request and, "item not available in the U.S. store." My Mac will not use update iTunes to any later version than the one I have because my os is also out of date, but when I try to update that i cant, so what do I have to do?  Please don't tell me I have to buy a new Mac to be up to date.

On the iOS device you must be logged into the store with the exact same Apple ID you used to originally purchase the service. Go to Setting > iTunes & App Stores and if necessary sign out/in and then enable iTM.

can you download songs from itunes match from the cloud to your iPhone ie for times when you dont have internet connection?

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

  • HT4913 If the music library on my iPhone will be deleted when I enable iTunes Match, does that mean that I will not be able to access that music library when I temporarily turn off iTunes Match on the iPhone, e.g., when on the subway & can't connect to Ma

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac.  On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S.  I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air.  I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted.  Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times.  I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but  don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now.  If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone.  Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around.  Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone.   Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

  • ITunes Match for the iMac - Music Files on an iPod?

I subscribe to iTunes Match and have an iPod Classic 160GB. Is it possible to use iTunes Match for my entire music library on my iMac & iPhone BUT put the actual song files on my iPod Classic? The problem is my music library is large, won't fit on my iMac Flash hard drive and iTunes Match is perfect. But I can't figure out how to get those songs onto my iPod Classic because iTunes Match is enabled on iTunes.
I would like to keep my iTunes library on the iMac using Match and have the physical songs be on the iPod Classic.
I tested this by putting 1 album on the iMac hd. Then syncing the iPod. Then deleting it from iTunes (the cloud icon came back so Match is doing it's thing and I deleted the physical song files). Sync'd again but this time I checked Manually Manage Music & Videos in the iTunes iPod Settings window before hand, thinking that would tell iTunes to not worry that the 1 Who album wasn't physically on my h/d anymore. But it didn't work. It removed the that album from the iPod Classic.
Is this possible and I don't have the correct settings in iTunes or on the iPod? Or is this a limitation of using iTunes Match?

Hey thanks, Jim... Actually I do have a back up of my entire library on an external drive. Is the process just dragging the songs and albums from the Finder (from the external drive backup) onto the iPod when I plug it in to iTunes and they copy over? Is it possible to create new or update existing Playlists with this method? But is key is to never sync the iPod with iTunes or do I need to check Manually Manage Music & Videos?
Or am I looking at this completely wrong. lol

  • HT204406 How can I subscribe to Itunes Match redeeming from itunes card instead of using credit card?

How can I subscribe to itunes Match redeeming from itunes card instead of using credit card?

Do you have another device (eg a computer) that also contains your music? If so, yes, you can turn off iTunes match and sync everything with a cable. Do you tend to buy new music from downloads or ripping CDs? If downloads, you can turn on "download purchases automatically" on the phone to make them available to you there, once you've cable-synced your current library. If CDs, you would have to manually sync with cable (or over local wifi) each time you add a new CD.

  • How can it that half of my songs are matched in iTunes Match where the other songs from the same CD (ripped by Itunes) are not matched but uploaded?

I started with ITunes Match a few days ago (I have the latest versions of all OS's etc)
    - The whole process took more then two days to complete for the first time.
    - Half of my songs are matched in iTunes Match where the other songs most of the time from the same CD (most ripped by ITunes) are not matched but uploaded(?)
    - Complete CD's are not recognized, they are however available in the ITunes store (songs in my library not available in ITunes are an exception).
    - The match part overall is less then 50%, which is a complete disappointment.....
    - When I activate ITunes Match on my IPod, IPhone and IPad the art-work does not load or only partly.
    - Loading songs on iOS is extremely slow... and that is definitely not due to my internal network.
    - ICloud (ITunes Match) on the apple TV stops working after every 15 seconds because it losses connection to the ITunes server....
I am a real Apple fan for the last decade but what a disappointment is this......before I started with ITunes Match everything worked seamlessly.

The number of Songs that 'matched' is simply a function of the current iTunes Match service process.  It is not unusual to have multiple Songs in an otherwise perfectly matched album be uploaded - often it is very possible to find the album in the iTunes Store.
The Artwork does tend to reappear for many over a few days / weeks - however, if your library backup has all Artwork present it would be wise to save the Album Art separately and reapply to Albums not showing art work in the library grid view.
Many of the other performance issues you mention are not typical - though during the past working week or so the Apple Infrastructure has been very heavily loaded with multiples countries having service go-live symultaneously.

  • ITunes Match and the magical disappearing explicit tags

So, after doing a spring (winter?) clean of my iTunes library today, there seems to be a bit of tension between iTunes Match and Explicit tags on tracks.
I'm obsessive with my library and add lyrics via Get Lyrical, use a script to search my iTunes library for specific profanities that outputs them into a playlist then use MetaX to tag all songs in that playlist with the explicit tag.  As a student of radio, sometimes, it's just easier to check for tags that drive through yrics for profanity and songs that are airable.
However, for whatever reason, as soon as iTunes Match updates the library with the server, all explicit tags are removed except for those that are downloaded from the store with the tags already added (which is an annoyance in itself because Apple see fit to mark an entire album as explicit even if a specific track is clean and safe for air).  Removing the explicit tags will find it readded after the iCloud sync.
All other elements of manual metadata are safe; purchase date, release date, copyright.  It just doesn't like explicit tags - hoping it'll get fixed in a future update.

My library has just over 10,000 songs in it.  95% came from my CD's that I ripped myself, plus some that I recorded directly to the computer from cassette or record (yes, I actually did that!).   I recently subscribed to iTunes match and other than about 100 songs, they all matched correctly.  I was very meticuous about my tagging so my library was very clean.  Not sure if that matters as I understand they use a digital matching scheme rather than based on tagging, but regardless, I am very pleased with the final result.

  • How to refresh iTunes Match on the iPhone?

    Hello,
I have around 12.000 songs on my iTunes AND iTunes Match (all have been matched / uploaded, no leftovers). When I turn on iTunes Match on my iPhone, it shows only 4200 tracks, not all the 12k.
"Ok, let's turn off iTunes Match on the iPhone and turn it on again and see if it performs a refresh".
I have then turned off iTunes Match on the iPhone, went back to the Music, and I saw that the 4200 tracks WERE STILL THERE, with the "download from the cloud" button. Weird, i have disabled iTunes Match on the Phone...
    "Let's try reboot the device"
I have then rebooted the iphone, closing all the applications before doing it, and after the reboot (iTunes Match still disabled on the device), THE SONGS WERE STILL THERE WITH THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON...
"Let's try turning itunes match on again, to see if the songs will be 12k"
Turned on iTunes Match again on the device, the tracks DID NOT CHANGE. Only 4200.
"But I want to play my music on my iphone!!! The tracks that were on the device have been deleted!!!"
    So my question is:
Is there a way to force the "Music" app on the iPhone to perform a FORCED REFRESH of the iTunes Match library? Turning iTMatch off and on doesn't work.
In the meantime, the only way for me to have my music on my iPhone is to turn iTMatch off, back up the iphone and perform a iPhone Restore... Seriously.

Thanks to kirbyfromtrenton, I have tracked down at least a partial fix for this problem:
1 - Turn off iTunes match in iTunes.
2 - Turn off iTunes match on the iPhone.
3 - Close iTunes and reopen.
    4 - Connect your iPhone.
5 - Go into your music folder for the iPhone and delete all the songs.
6 - Turn back on iTunes match in iTunes
7 - Turn back on iTunes match on the iPhone
All of my music is available once again, although I'm still not seeing my playlists or artwork. That could be because I'm overseas right now with a slow wi-fi connection though.

  • Does iTunes match remove the songs from my local computer.

I hope I ask this right?
My Itunes libaray is stored on my iMac
I'm not really looking to get my entire library onto my IOS devices. I have them all set up manually to my liking:)
However I would like to have my entire libarary avaliable to be used on my Macbook Air. I travel to different offices from day to day but all are connected to WiFi. The Air while amazing does have limited space on it so it would be great if I could just listen to my library through the cloud and not have to use up space on the Air.
My concern with this is I also want to be able to manage my songs manually on my IOS Devices. Will I still be able to sync my iPhone to my iMac at home and just add one or two songs?
Are the songs on my iMac still there? . When I play songs on my iMac are they playing from the harddrive or from the cloud? Its not really an issue but just so I better understand how it works.....imagine if I was concerned about the amount of data I was using each month.(from my internet provider). Do the songs still play from my iMac desktop or are they playing from the cloud?
I guess it all comes down to this. iTunes works perfect for me right now. When I add songs to my iMac, when I sync to iPhone or iPad. I really only want this so I can listen from the cloud on my Air.....but if it changes how I do everything else. I'm less sure I want this.
    Appreciate the help:)

Simply do not enable iTunes Match on the iOS devices and syncing behavior will not change.

Yes. The files on the computer are not touched.

Enable iTM on the MBA and  you will be able to stream from the cloud as long as you have a network connection.
