Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Older Macs with a single Harddrive would simply expand OS management on the drive, and I think I understand the new Fusion Drive to do just that, but how do I get this product that I spent a great deal of money on to be more than a pretty screen?

OS X manages ram and when you run out, it create swapfiles to extend your ram on the HDD (Hard Disk Drive). The OS itself, takes about 16 gig of space and that too resides on the HDD. Your 16 gig of RAM is really a temporary space that holds things from the HDD so the processor can work on them. There is no design flaw between your ram and HDD. Something else is going on and there are a lot of smart people here to help you figure out what that "something else" is.
I would do three things. First I would create a backup, backups are important. Second, I would reboot into recovery and repair my HDD. Lastly while still booted in recovery I would repair permissions.

Just to confirm, you are logged into the iTunes Store using the account in which the balance exists, and the balance is showing at the top of the iTunes Store window? And you're not trying to purchase gifts for someone else?

As I understand it you want to have more than 1 email address under your Apple ID. You can have what are called Alternate Email addresses associated with your Apple ID and this article will help you get those setup:
Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
Alternate email address
You can add one or more alternate email addresses for use with Apple services such as Game Center, FaceTime, Find My Friends, iMessage, and OS X notifications.
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
Select “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
Add an alternate address:
Select Add Email Address, then enter your alternate address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address.
Edit an alternate address:
Select Edit next to the address, then enter the new address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address.
Delete an alternate address: Select Delete next to the address.

I had an important app. (Memos by bluemarblesoftware.com) that I accidentally deleted. It of course had many memos, some with quite a lot of information. I did sync my phone on a regular basis and I think the memos should be on the desktop computer. I tried to do a restore function but I got a message saying there was not enough room on the iPhone. I'm having a little trouble understanding the part about your password having to be reset. Why is that happening??
Let's start with Firefox's settings:
(1) You can configure the password manager feature on this tab:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security
There is a checkbox to enable/disable the feature.
There also is a "Saved Passwords" button to review and remove any passwords you do not want Firefox to keep.
That tab also has a feature to set a Master Password so that no one can use your saved passwords without knowing the Master Password. You may need to exit Firefox in order for Firefox to ask for that again.

(2) Site-specific permissions
If you want to use the password manager for other sites but NOT a particular site, you can configure that in the Permissions Manager.

I have exactly, exactly!! thesame annoying problem you have or had. I don't know what to do and i am reallyfrustrated with the dumb limited inside the box solutions offered to me. It'slike if you have a problem with your ipod or iphone you can either restore it,uninstall/reinstall itunes and thats pretty much it. I am sorry but that isjust f***** up.
