Are you sure you have 3G iPod? If it is a 8 or 16 GB one it is a 2G iPod. A 32GB could be either. Identify yurs here:

A 2g can only go to 4.2.1.

I have a 3rd generation, original model iPod Touch. My USB conneror cable cord is worn out. I cannot use the newer cord that works with my iPhone 3SG. Can I get a version of the cord that will work with the oroginal version of an iTouch, 3rd generation iPod Touch?

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch. How do I get it to begin working? It just stopped today.

I went back to download and it acts like everything has downloaded

I need the itunes on my desktop (PC_)Hi there, to authorize a computer, you open up itunes, and at the very very top lefthand corner, there will be a little window. Click on that, and it will present you with a list of options. From there, you go to the third option down, which says "Itunes Store," hover over it with your mouse, and it will give you another set of options. From there, you can see the two options, "Authorize" an "Deauthorize computer. Just click on "Authorize," enter in your apple ID and password, and your computer will be authorized! I have made a playlist on my ipod touch, how to do I get it burned to a cd?
I have made a playlist on my ipod touch and when I try to burn a cd from it , there is no file option for that list,
I also can't drag the list into a library playlist.
Any suggestions?In iTunes, before you sync the playlist, you can right click on the playlist and select the option that says "Copy Play Order" that will preserve list in the order you have them.

i started my photoshop touch after some while and now i cant find the magnetic lasso tool it used to be there i used it all the time for editting but now i cant find it maybe i disabled it somehow. can anyone tell how to enable it again?
I honestly don't remember a magnetic lasso tool. (I've been using PS Touch since version 1.0.) The closest things I can think of are the Quick Selection Tool, the Scribble Selection Tool and the Magic Wand Tool, all located under the same set of tools (3rd set from the top in the tool panel).

Connect the iPod to a charging source and go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings. It can take a few hours that is why it should be connected to a charging source.
Alternately you can connect the iPid to your computer. Log out of all iTunes accounts (iTunes>Store>Logout) and restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Once I open a book in my library there is no option to close it and return to the library. I must leave the app, stop the app and then restart it. How do I exit an opened book to return to my library without having to exit, stop, and restart the app?
Assuming you are talking about "iBooks", then just
tap the center of the screen
and you should see a "Library" in the upper left corner of the screen.
tap the center of the screen again,
and you should return to full screen mode.

Ok, first thing, why are you doing anything with WAMP or XAMPP when you're running a Mac? MAMP should be what you want unless you're not explaining part of what you are trying to do.
2nd thing, I haven't used MAMP in a while, but there are two possibilities for not seeing what you want to see once you have MAMP turned on. One possibility is that you already have "Web Sharing" turned on in your Sharing Preference Pane. If that is the case, port 80 will already be taken and you'll be seeing the default Apache install (files are stored at /Library/WebServer/Documents/). This would push MAMP to either not turn on it's web serving capabilities, or to push it to another port. The other possibility is that MAMP defaults to another port anyway. So instead of localhost, you might have to type in localhost:8080 or something similar. I believe the control panel that gets installed can take you to the currently MAMP-served page, and it can also help you change which port your serving on.
80 is the default port for web serving and the ONLY port that will let you get straight to the server without having to type in webaddress.com:port# instead of just webaddress.com.
