You could try doing a hard shut down (holding the power button or yanking the battery) and then doing a safe boot by holding the shift key at startup:

Also, not sure if this applies in your case, but I've had that happen when there's a USB drive inserted either in the computer or a connected external keyboard. I did a hard shut down, removed the drive and it went through a normal start up.

Hi You may have a hardware fault take ipad to Apple Store. Ring then first to make an Appointment take box and you purchase paperwork they may give you A replacement. Before you do that Try a Reboot hold down power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo you may need to hold down for up to 30 Seconds But you may need to do this more than once. When playback progressive video in FCP X it will have flicker effect, how can i remove it

when i shoot video in PAL 25p , and it will play in my imac with FCP X this video have flicker effects and 30p will show small flicker, when i use 25i format there are no flicker effect in FCP X, in canon 7D have only progressive video (1080p) i want PAL , how i can remove this flicker effects, any method have in FCP X

Have you tried iPhoto's prefernces>general? There's a drop down menu that let's you select which app opens when you connect a camera. Options are iPhoto, image capture, or no app.

For the issue, the current user account picture (tile image) is stored in the hidden folder below.
C:\Users\Public\Public Account Pictures\S-1-5-21.......(GUID for user account)
The recent user account pictures used for your account are stored in the hidden folder below.
C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
The default user account picture images are in the hidden system folder below.
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Default Account Pictures
I suggest you select a new picture to update your account picture.
1.On your Start screen, click on your user tile at the top right corner, click on Change account picture.
2.On the Personalize, then click "Browse" to select a new picture.

How do I remove a bogus column from my podcasts screen? Normal tactics don'

At some point in a old version of iTunes for Windows, I set "Release Date" as my sort column for podcasts. I can't choose another column to sort by, and in fact _"Release Date" isn't even listed as a selectable option_ in the columns list, so I can't uncheck it. Is there a config file (.ini or otherwise) I can hack to get rid of this column? Is the column list hidden in the registry somewhere? I've looked but haven't found anything useful yet. I'm not a noob, I've worked with and done support on Windows desktops and servers for years.

Unless there is a change in 7.5, I don't have 7.5 yet, In the podcasts section the only way to sort is by date released. To sort by other column you have to use playlists.

I think you would have to go to the folder where they are and delete from there. Then they shouldn't show up anymore as choices.
