Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to 3G, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router

Moving iPod 5th Gen movies to iPod Touch
I was wondering...what would happen if I moved my iPod 5th Gen movies (no longer on my computer) to a iPod Touch?
Would the video be the size of the iPod 5th Gen screen?Personly I have found that moves encoded for the Ipod Video do not work with the Ipod Touch. ie, I get the can't play on this device error message when syncing in I tunes.
However re-encoding the video using a converter that supports the iTouch (Videora) everything was ok. -

I've transferred magisto app from ipod 4 to ipod 5 but it's come up as basic account. I purchased the upgrade for £12.99 2 months ago and this does not appear on the ipod 5. I have an older iPod (5th gen, 30GB+video) that I had connected to my computer with iTunes. That computer crashed and the only place my music is stored is on my iPod. How do I move that music to the iTunes program (version 8) on my new computer. When I connect my iPod to my new computer the music shows up in my iPod's music directory but I can't move it to the library.

My iPod 5th gen. doesn't have a back camera. Can I trade it in for one that does have a back camera? If I can, can I keep all my pictures and have them switched over to the other one?
If you purchased it from Apple within the last 14 days then you can return it for a full refund. otherwise no. If you purchased it elsewhere you have to check with them.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

My ipod warranty ran out a few months ago I have a nano 5th gen. The problem is that if I want to play a song it would show the album artwork for about 3 seconds and go back to the main menu with no music playing. It'snot the head phones or ear jack. Please I Need Help

Have a classic 5th gen. have restored, relaoded itunes, gone through the troubleshooting tips and I still can't sync my latest 3 albums to my ipod. It will sync all but those. Also, when go through ipod trblshoot and select check for sync, says can't see my ipod. pls help
Thanks for the reply. The Itunes trouble shooting in Itunes help. I don't get an error message, it just states can't see ipod like if it wasn't plugged in. I do get an error message on a few of the songs when sync that say error 50, and state that they can't be loaded to ipod. The weird thing is that I can load all of my libary except the latest 3 albums. They are in my libary but they won't load. I'm not sure but it seems like it started when the cloud came about from amazon which is where I buy most of my music.
