I have the Italian version of Pages, but I wish to install a Portuguese (Brazil) dictionary. Is that possible? Where can I find a PT dictionary?
As I live in Italy, when I bought Pages I have received the Italian version of the software. The problem is that most of the time I write in Brazilian Portughese and I wish I could check grammar in that language.
My question is: how can I set up portuguese as the document language or how can I install the Portuguese dictionary?

Barbara if you not only want the Spell check to be in Portuguese Brazil and you don't want to change the main language of the computer from italian to Portuguese brazil you can download the Language Switcher from http://www.tj-hd.co.uk/en-gb/languageswitcher/ . It is free and you can change the language to PB for Pages. I do this to get my Pages in english. The spell checker will also change language

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.01 can not open Pages 5.2 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5.2 files can not be opened in Pages 5.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 95 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

I was sent a .pages doc. When I try to open it with pages I'm told "You need a newer version of Pages to open this document." I have the newest version of pages on my computer. What should I do?
I wonder if you are running an OS earlier than 10.9.x? If so, you cannot run the *latest* version of Pages, which is 5.1. Apple is trying to get you to update your OS to 10.9 Mavericks and then get you to update (but defintiely not upgrade) your Pages version to 5.1. 5.1 is, in everything but name, beta software. It not only has many bugs, it also lacks more than 90 features that are present in version 4.3 ("Pages 09"). One workaround that is to open the file with Pages for icloud (this is explcitly beta) and click tools|download a copy in Word format. Pages 4.3, which is probably the version you have, can open Word documents. Get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine before starting Pages for icloud: it is s-l-o-w.

I have the current version of itunes, but when I go to update my ipod, I am getting an error message that says that it could not back up because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPod. This is the first time trying to backup the iPod. I have authorized my computer. Still no luck.
Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and select the iPod backjp and click on delete and try again.

OK, so we rule out LSP then,
Try following steps one at a time and test your itunes:
1. Restart computer, right mouse click iTunes icon and select "Run As Administrator", now try your itunes.
2. If that does not work, check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows.
3. If that fails or you don't see ApsDaemon.exe in the Processes, refer to following article to remove SC files:

4. If that fails, repair or reinstall your Quicktime. START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REPAIR. -

App Store says I have the latest version of Keynote but a kn presentation I am uploading cannot open and the message says I need a newer version. Very frustrated at this point
I actually had Keynote 06, Keynote 08, and Keynote 09. After finding trashing 06 and 08, 09 is working fine. Apple support troubleshot it this morning with me.

I have Snow Leopard ver.10.6.8 and I have uninstalled iwork, because I don't have the equation writer on pages. So I re install it from the iwork's disk and when I tried to open any of the Apps, the system told me " check with the developer to make sure Keynote (for example) works with this version of Mac OS X "

Your Windows license might only be installed on a Mac if you install Windows emulation software.
While it might be possible to swap to the Mac platform, which depends on which version is involved, that means giving up the Windows license. -

Not having enough space on your hard drive is a problem in itself, OS X likes 10-20% free in order to operate smoothly. Right click on your hard drive icon and choose Get Info to see how much you have free. There are several free applications that will help you identify what is taking up so much space just Google it. Hello there i am using the latest version of pages on ipad3 but when I imported a word doument with some figures ( mainly pictures, X-rays, CT scans, and ECG ) I could not find them they all vanishes although the text was perfectly displayed . Can anyone help.

Your comment "a zip" made me attempt to open it with winrar, and I found a manifest.fm file inside!
So far I was editing the one at the "source" of my project and rebuilding it with netbeans.
I am going to try that now.
