I have the Itunes.msi file it asks for, but what network are they talking about as I am not on a network with WIN XP SP3
When I try to install the newest Itunes, I get a message saying that it cannot find Itunes.msi. I have that file in the Apple updates directory and I point to it.
After hitting enter, it comes back to the same question with the implication that I am not on the right network. I am not on any network. Please help
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Where is the itunes.msi file?
I'm trying to -re-install itunes, and my system says it can't find the itunes.msi file to finish the installation process. I've re-installed it before and no issues. Some article I read said that issues have arrisen when files were continually updated, and edited. Anybody know of this?
ThanksWhen MSI (Microsoft Installer) files can't be found, this windows installer cleanup utility can usually fix it.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Download & install the utility. Run it. Choose to remove iTunes, QuickTime, and Apple Software Update from the list it gives you.
Then download a fresh itunes and try installing it. -
So whenever I try to download the newest itunes file it won't let me finish the install process because I'm missing the "Itunes.msi" file whatever that is and I've done some searches but I cannot find the file. Anyone know what to do?
you can try this thread maybe? https://discussions.apple.com/message/16217061#16217061

When will AR Andriod APP have the 2-sided print option available for a local network duplex enabled printing?
I solved my problem!
Since I suspected routing or firewall problems inside the LAN, I went in to the router setup and did some in depth snooping. On an advanced menu of the wireless section was a one-line setting and check-box that said "Block Wireless Bridging". According to the manual, this setting "blocks wireless clients from communicating with other wireless clients on the LAN side of the Gateway."
I unchecked it and restarted the router and now all macs are screen and file sharing. -
whenever I try to download and update the latest apple update, I get an error advising me that the network connection has timed out and telling me to change my setting. What the heck are they talking about?
Disable the computer's security software during the download and update. You could have easily found this answer by searching this forum since the question gets asked maybe a dozen times a day.

An error pops up saying that the file isn't found and then when I link it to the file, the error says it isn't a valid itunes.msi file. I had iTunes on my PC but it won't work properly so I am trying to re-install or update it. Neither works.
So I tried installing it and when I did it stopped at a certain point, giving me a message about "not being able to write to the file C:\ProgramFiles\iTunes\ iTunes.Resources\fr.lproj\ipodsettings.nib\objects.xib"
problems with language resource files and folders (i believe that's one of the French ones that you're having a problem with) are often produced by disk damage around the areas of the files in question.
so perhaps let's try running a chkdsk over your C drive. see:
How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? if so, does the uninstall or reinstall go through any better afterwards? -
This morning Firefox was working fine. Then it suddenly reconfigured itself. The File, Edit, History bar went away, as did the bar that tells me what web site I am on, and the next bar that allows me to manually enter a URL and to search via google or Yahoo, ect.
At startup the browser sends me to Bing, and it keeps trying to activate applications I have not asked for.
What happened and how do I fix it?* In Firefox 3.6 versions on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux it's possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar.
* Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

TS1398 when it shows the names to connect to for wifi what password are they asking for?
What password do they ask for to hook up to wifi in the house?
It is asking for the password for the wireless network. If you have not changed the settings for your router you may have been supplied with a default password on a card or booklet that came with it. If it is not you're network you may have to ask the owner for a password. If you changed the password when setting up your wireless router, you will need to remember or find it if you wrote it down.

My i touch wont let me in the itunes store. Keeps asking for my password.
I have a few issues going on...... My i touch is a few years old. The battery wont hold a charge, I can not plug it directly into the computer... not a strong enough charge.
I havent used it in about a year now. I found it this week, tried to use it...every thing works fine..... emails, home security alarm, games, photos, music. All good. Even did updates on apps. But i can not purchase any thing or get into the app store at all. I know my password is correct cause I tried an old one just to check. Different message came up ...wrong password. It will not let me do any settings stuff or make any changes. I have tried every thing I can think of. Ive worked on this thing for 2 days now.
It does not give any error message ...Just keeps asking for my itunes password over and over and over again.
PLEASE HELP !!!!!- Reset all settings

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar -
Hello - I wonder what can have happened. I got a mail from the itunes store with the info of a refund for an App that I cannot have purchased. Then I asked for help via the support and had to fill out a form with data. My account name (first name and last name) was already there and when I finally wanted to submit my request for support it said that my first name ( there are 2 for that) was not correct. I had the idea of cancelling the 2nd 'first name = only M. and then the request was accepted.
What might be the reason for all that turmoil? I mean the refund for s.th. that I did not buy and then the non acceptance of my first name's data?
I appreciate a comment, aimeehMake an appointment at the genius bar.
If you went without an appointment, then it would make sense that you could be turned away. -

- Try resetting the iPod
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then connect to cpmputer and restore if it shows in iTunes
- If iPod is still frozen on, let the battery fully drain. Then after charging for an hour try the above again. -
I got rid of my old iMac G5 computer which ran on Tiger, but not before I retained the hard drive, which was installed into a 'caddy'.
There is a folder containing 20kb of damaged files. I wondered whether they were worth keeping, and if so, how do I go about repairing them?Hello Sapper,
Mostly they're garbage, text files would likely be the only "recoverable" ones, but...
