I have the newest imovie as i got a macbook for christmas, i have made a video and want to upload it to youtube and it is a quicktime file, but yet it is still taking ages to upload and youtube says if i change the format it will take less time,help?

I need help for how to upload a video on youtube when it is a quicktime file but how i change it to a streamable format in order for it to not take as long to upload, how do i do this?

I have the same issue. If you are exporting from iMovie version 10.0.1, I run into the same issues if I export directly to YouTube or if I export to file then upload to YouTube.
Google's help file doesn't properly address this problem and thier help is also out of date. In talking to a support rep at Apple, they said the export to YouTube should just work or the exporting to a file then uploading otherwise it's an issue for Google support.
If someone can post a solution that works (is a streamable format - which is different than the format that YouTube accepts as it will accept many formats but take a long time to process them), I'd be interested to hear also.

That article did seem to confirm that it is not as straight forward as it might seem. Since then I have deleted some of the TV episodes I downloaded on iTunes and the available storage has increased, so I can only assume that when reviewing in finder the files for iTunes are not shown and it would appear one has to go into iTunes to delete them.
I guess I may need to set up an external hard drive to store TV series etc as long as it is easy to transfer between the external drive and the MAC and subsequently my iPad as well, but that is for another discussion.

For Christmas she got an iPad mini and it was sat up this time with her own Apple ID and password. I have created playlists on my iphone and each time I sync all of my iphone playlists get erased and I have to recreated them. after the sixth time, I am very hesitant to do any kind of syncing. Is there a way to just move one song without syncing? I have read some posts that talk about this but have not been able to do it. You are probably running OS 10.4 or 10.5 on a PPC Mac. No version of iTunes higher than 10.6.3 is available for these older Macs. I have the same problem, and while I can still use the PPC to sync my iPod, it can't be used to sync an iPhone 4 or higher. The only solution, as I discovered after upgrading to the iPhone 4, is to buy a newer Mac. I was able to get a 2006 MacBook running Lion for under $300, and that has been a lifesaver.

He shouldn't have done that. Now you have a pirated version of iMovie on your Mac that you will never be able to update. The MAS Terms of Use do not allow that type of sharing. His Apple ID is encoded in the copy on your Mac and you can't change that.
Legally you should delete the app.
Your Mac should have come with the iLife apps pre-installed, why did he do that?

I've reread your question several times and am not sure I understand it.
Are you trying to basically start over, as if you just took your iPhone out of the box? If so, do:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings

I have updated everything there is to update on my computer (firefox and adobe) but yet I'm still getting a plugin crash report. What should I do now?

When I try to watch any TV episode (the one I am currently trying is ABC's Modern Family) on my computer it starts and within 5 seconds the screen shows up that says "Adobe Flash Plugin Has Crashed". I then send the crash report and reload the page only for the same thing to happen. I have gone to your Mozilla Plugin Check page and updated all the plugins. I also updated Firefox. I have updated everything that there is to update on my computer but yet I am still getting the crash page. The odd thing is that when I got to sites such as ABC the video in the upper corner plays with no problem. It is when I click on the episode that it says it has crashed.

Sign-in to your iTunes Account, you can see which computers are authorised. If necessary de-authorise all and authorise those again that you need.

Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive and make sure that your phone number is checked and iMessage reads as activated. Remove the checkmark from the email address and make sure that only the phone number if checked. It should appear grayed out, but should still have a checkmark. If the phone number does not have a checkmark, then turn off iMessage, wait a few moments and then turn iMessage back on and make sure that it activates.
