I have been using it for years with success. Recently I had a proplem with opening the program. I brought it to Best Buy. They fixed it and I can make the movies but I can not burn a DVD. I get a message, " cannot initialize the DVD burner engine". Can you help me.

These notes are (mostly) for Encore, but since the disc burning module inside Premiere Elements is also licensed from Roxio, the steps and ideas are the same for PE
As well as the below, right click the program icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

Create a DVD output ISO file (Encore) or set your DVD output to a folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)

Verizon has no problem with me paying for Data I don't use. This month my daughter comes home from College and she accidentally uses 24G.....14 over get blind sided with $140.00 in overages. I called Verizon today......stopped in to the store today......My neighbor told me they waved charges for her one time. Lots of charges.....But I'm am getting no help. Not even an offer of a payment plan to help me out. I went back just 6 months and I have over paid for 19G.....Seems like they would like to help out their loyal customers!!!! Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with them? We are not wealthy....or I would just pay this and walk away......

There is a big misconception in what customers believe a cell carrier is obligated to do.
You pay a set price to use up to that amount of xx data. It makes no difference if you use it to the paid limit or way under. Its like peace of mind when you don't have to worry about a data counter.
Your daughter used the data, your plan is quite clear of what overage charges are. Why should or would Verizon wireless just forgive the charges because you are a customer? Your daughter used the data, get the money from her. That is the responsible thing to do.
There is no "I have been a loyal customer so please remove the $120, or $250, or $2,000.00 since I did not mean to use it"
Your electric company, or gas company or any other company does not remove valid charges. Why should Verizon wireless?
Just pay the invoice and don't think you are being mistreated because Verizon is a business and not a charity.

I seem to be having the same problem on my Windows 8 laptop... I am able to update my iPod Nano through iTunes but my iPhone is not recognized as a device in iTunes. Have been able to update my iPad until recently. Is this a bug fix that Apple can help with? I'd rather not uninstall all my Apple programs if I can avoid it...

Similary, if I scan an image and save it as a PDF file in pictures, I'm suddenly not able to open it either!
Why?

Move the com.apple.screencapture.plist file out of /username/Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, log out and back in, and try again.
BTW, use the default 10 point setting for text. Your choice just wastes screen space.

I have been using firefox for over a year with no problems. All of a sudden it has quit opening. I thought it might be something in my computer so I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it from your web site. It still will not open. What do I do now???????

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can use the Tab key to select a search engine on the bottom bar and press Enter to use the search engine to do the search.

In the current Firefox 34 release there is a new "one-off" search bar.
This search bar doesn't show the name of the search engine and a logo.
You can type one letter to make a drop-down list appear where you can see suggestions and see the used search engine and that also has bar at the bottom where you can select other search engines that are enabled via the Search tab in Options/Preferences.
You can use the Tab key to select one of the other available search engines and press the Enter key to search with the selected search engine.
Click the search engine icon and click "Change Search Settings" to open the Search tab in Options/Preferences (positioned between Tabs and Content) to select the default search engine and select which search engines to show in the search bar drop-down list that opens when you start typing search terms.

Firefox seems unresponsive today and I can't open a webpage (I'm using explorer to write this). I have followed the advice on the trouble shoot page and nothing has helped or applied to my problem. You need Lion for iCloud which it should warn you when you do the me.com/move routine.
It's still fixable though:

Does your iPhone say "No AirPrint Printers Found?" If you check the printer's status on your computer, is it offline?

This is too bad. I downloaded a book to my PC that I can't seem to open on my PC for the reasons stated above.
Funny... no where during my sign up / sign in did I see anything really obvious that stated or warned me in advance. It must be buried in the rules & agreements somewhere. Too bad...
