I have the system requirements for icloud, but can't recieve photos from friends who use a MAC (I have a PC). Why?
Why does my PC not receive photos from relatives who posted them through icloud from a MAC?

I pay for it every month through a subscription, however, photoshop isn't
appearing in my menu on any of the computers which it was installed through
creative cloud. Nor does it appear in the menu as an app that I can
download when I access the files on creative cloud. All of the other applications
have an icon to download, but photoshop does not appear as an option.
If I can't use it...I don't want to keep paying for it.

I have not tried that app. But have you gotten Face Time to work with another iPh4? It may be that you need to go to Settings > Phone and enable Face Time (set it to ON).

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price (though it's reported to have been removed from sale in some countries so may well cease to be available generally) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mountain Lion and Mavericks are:

8GB of available space

What will happen if I don't move to icloud in 30 days. I don't have the system requirement and will have to buy lion and more memory.
I've very unhappy with apple for forcing us to move to the cloud. I don't care about syncing all of my devices.Heres the immediate confusion that could have been easily avoided: The main page at me.com/move seems to strongly suggest that if your computer is not yet upgraded to Lion, the main requirement for iCloud, you cant move to iCloud. The statement is that ALL devices must be compatible in order to "move".
But then, at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4929
the first sentence is
"If you cannot update all of your devices to the iCloud system requirements, you can still move to iCloud, but iCloud services will work only on the devices that meet the system requirements".
So, if you want iCloud features on your OTHER devices, (most useful if you have more than one other device), you would move to iCloud (paradoxically -- in my case-- using a computer that will not (yet) be able to use iCloud), and reset your Mail settings as per the link above. You can still access some synced data on the non-Lion machine via a browser at iCloud.com.
From my read of HT4929, if instead you opted not to move, but only "keep using my email", (if you did not care about any other syncing), you might NOT have to change your Mail settings, (thats been my experience so far) or you may have to soon, when things actually shift (sometime after the supposed deadline) at the mail server-side, (as per Rogers comment above).

That's circular reasoning. Without knowing the exact specs of the computer, this is not going anywhere. You could be overlooking something simple.

I have changed the email account for icloud but the sistem preferences window is blocked on the previous email account and it does't work.
The sistem preferences window doesn't accept no one passwords.You will need to sign out completely in System Preferences>iCloud (click the 'Sign Out' button) and sign back in again with the new ID.

i would like to run the most secure version of firefox on my computer, but my computer does not meet the system requirements for the latest version. is there a way i can have the security of firefox 8 and still be able to run it on my old computer. i currently an running firefox 3.6. it is a bit slow, but it is functional.
Currently Firefox 3.6.24 is as secure as Firefox 8.0.1 is. Firefox 3.6.x will continue to get security updates until next spring, although the exact date hasn't yet been determined.

Processor wise you're stuck with what you got, but RAM can be upgraded. WinXP is still supported in all versions of Firefox and will be continued to be supported until Windows drops support for WinXP sometime in 2014. -

Which versions of InDesign are you referring to? What are the operating system specs for the machine?

What are you trying to do? If you have a brand new machine, you don't need to download and install Mavericks. You already have it.

ThanksTrue Tom a number of vendors do that but usually the condition for debit is that the article is available and they only debit when they dispatch. In this case at issue you make the order. It WILL be dispatched but when you get it it tells you it won't install (maybe). Apple are still playing with it so, possibly, there will be some requirement stemming from Apple Tv or the iPhone that rules out more than G3s.
I doubt if you could put something you could later referr to in court in the 'comments' box on Amazon web order form to plead not fit for purpose. One might say anyone buying a pig in a poke desrves what they get. However this is a broadcast offer for sale by Amazon to a public who will have all sorts of configurations so perhaps they should, to be responsible, remind all those pre-ordering (there are many) nearer the time that the product (I trust Apple will tell them) neds such and such.
My own view is why be in such haste? Is it really necessary to have 10.5 within a week of release? 10.4.9 works OK wait till the system needs are known then order. The world won't fall apart because you are only the fourth kid on the block to have it. Anyway there are bound to be snags turning up once it reaches the hordes with all their many quirky installations. Wait for a few months.
