I have this refurbished I pod touch 4G and I just got it like a month ago. I held it in the sunlight and I spot a tiny hairline crack on the screen it's from the edge to up a little. I haven't dropped it at all. I need to know ASAP what to do

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Explain what happened. Frequently with normal use a crack can grow causing problem with the touch function of the screen.

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

All I have on my I pod touch is a white screen with multicolored lines going across screen. What do I need to do. I can't use I tunes because it says I have to have passcode and can't get screen to come up. I have already tried holding both keys down.

I just got a new macbook pro. How do I get the 900+ songs that I took off of cds into iTunes on my computer from my iPhone. I had no problems syncing the music I had purchased from iTunes. I have tried to sync it using iTunes match, this did not work. I would like to have access to my full library without going into the user profile of my old computer, which is on my new computers hard drive. I would like to eventually delete the old profile so that I have more space on my hard drive.

I recently bought the i pod touch 4 and noticed that not all of my songs transferred over from my i tunes library-The songs that didn't, say original file cannot be found, when clicked. What should I do? I tried using the tips on this site, but they weren't too helpful...I downloaded the songs from cd's and purchased them from i tunes.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!I doubt that your music files are gone. Do a spotlight search and look for The Cure. What likely happened is that for whatever reason, your iTunes lost track of the location of your songs.. which happens on occasion.
What you need to do is go to the folder where your music library is - where the song files are - and check to see if they are there. If so, then go into your iTunes preferences and in the 'Advanced' pane put in the location of the folder where it says 'iTunes Media folder location'. iTunes should then be able to 'see' the songs again.

After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

You need to use the Apple IDs that you created for them for iCloud as well as iTunes. You will also find that you need to use them for messages and face time. -
About a month ago, I began periodically getting the spinning wheel while trimming, adding titles or transitions, etc. It lasts for about 15 seconds and then goes away. This seems to happen once every minute or two. I have more than enough RAM/Power, etc. About every other time I use FCPX it will spontaneously close (typically when editing a title). None of these things were happening previously. I have lots of projects that I store on Promise Pegasus drives via Thunderbolt. I only keep a few projects and the associated events open in FCPX at a time, otherwise I use Event Managaer X to keep track of them. Can anybody give me any suggestions as to why this is occurring and what I can do to remedy it? I have the latest version of FCPX as far as I can tell. This is driving me mad and costing me significant time while editing. By the way, I am doing just basic editing. Essentially trimming, cutting and adding some transitions and a few title screens. Thanks in advance for your help.
These apperarances of the spinning wheel tend to be related to some io operation that takes too long. Maybe the finder is trying to reach a network server that became unavailable.
I would try clearing caches and do an overall maintenance with an utility like OnyX.
Also, trashing preferences does no harm and is often the first troubleshooting measure when FCP X misbehaves.
