I think it "invalid" means "requires validation" (see isValid())

Every time I turn on my MacBook Pro (Early 2011), on I get this strange error, can any one identify what it is and how to fix it if something is wrong?

You showed a kernel panic file from OS X, apprantly Log Me In is installed into OS X or running when you log in.
You should be using the developers installer/unistaller to remove Log Me In from OS X.
Somehow it's in OS X, I don't know, but it's there and you need to remove it. I'm not dealing with Windows, just OS X.
Talk to Log Me In people and find out what is installed where so you can do a manual deletion out of OS X.
If that doesn't work, you have to reboot holding the Shift key down manually search for any Log Me In or Himachi files on your computer, in your System/Library/Extensions folder too, use the free Easy Find.

Between statment I have a strange error (error 500)

Hi all,
This is my problem : I made a "between query" to a oracle database which contains dates values as long. My query is working fine when I put an space like 1 months (ie : between the 06/01/2001 and the 07/01/2001), i recieved around 500 records. But if I stretch the space (as for ie one year) I received an internal error 500 with a root cause nullpointerexception.
I'll put th returned error message. I'm really disappointed and I can't see how to fix this problem (for the moment).

Hi There
I'm not sure from your description what the problem is, but you should be able to find out what is causing the NullPointerException very easily by finding the compiled JSP's (for example, in Tomcat they are stored under <tomcat>/work/<app-name>).
Then find the exact source file (given in the stack trace). Bear in mind if there are two versions of a file with the same name, they will have version numbers added onto the filename - make sure you edit the latest version.
Now edit the file, go to the line number given in the stack trace, and you'll hopefully see what is giving you the null pointer.
My guess is probably the ResultSet is coming back as null, and you're not doing a test for null before doing rs.next() for example.

The frequenatly occurs if you have an expired Adobe trial. Search your computer and uninstall it.

Yes when I change my screensaver from iPhoto to any other screensaver (apple or otherwise), I don't have any problem. The problem only arises when I use iPhoto to display my family pictures as screensaver!!

Strange error in explicit instance creation

Dear all,
using NW2004s I have a strange error while explicit instance creation:
Let´s say I have a class a in the Class Builder calles c1. With method "check_data".
In my program I do the following:
DATA: ref_chk TYPE REF TO object.
create object ref_chk type ('C1').
c1->check_data( );
If I do so I get an syntax error: The method check_data is unknown, private or protected.
But the method is public.
I need the explicite instance creation beacuse the class changes and I want to set it with a variable.
Any idea what´s wrong? How can I solve the problem?

Hi Roman,
The best way to do this would be to use an Interface and then cast the class to an interface type once it has been created. However if this is not possible (i.e. the interface is not fixed for all the different classes you want to create) you can use the following code to call your class.
DATA: ref_chk TYPE REF TO object.
create object ref_chk type ('C1').
call method ref_chk->('CHECK_DATA').
Just a note the 'CHECK_DATA' in brackets can also be replaced with a variable as in the follwing example:
DATA: ref_chk TYPE REF TO object.
DATA: method_name type string.
create object ref_chk type ('C1').
method_name = 'CHECK_DATA'.
call method ref_chk->(method_name).

STRANGE ERROR dvdsp4.2.1

I have a strange error. DVDSP keeps telling me that there is a hvdvd file in the build location. It is this that prevents dvdsp to burn. Now, i can not find this file at all. I have searched for it.
I have trash prefs, moved the m2v & aiff to other drives, install a new drive just to burn, and even restarted the tower.
Nothing gets me to a burn cause of some invisible file. Here is a screen shot of the error.

My General Process:
1. open dvdsp
2. remove the menu leaving just a track
3. drag the folder with the aiff and m2v into assets
4. drag both m2v and aiff to the track node
5. set the track as 1st play
6. click burn and get this error that i posted above
7. click ok (nothing happens)
8. click burn and the same error message ( repeat 6-7 three times to get the same result)
I did burn 2 dvds previous and they would not play so i figure it was an hd-dvd. Then i went into dvdsp preferences and set my prefs as shown in this screen shot and clicked apply 1st and OK 2nd.
When i click on build i can see the file in reference, so i trashed the entire hvdvd_ts folder and it seems to be burning normally now.

Ora-12545 strange error

Dear friends
I have one strange error in Oracle 8.1.7 , Windows NT server. We have 4 databases in a same box. All are working fine till yesterday. Today morning I am facing this problem. I can not connect to one database out of four from any client. Getting error "ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist"
Other 3 databases in the same server I can connect from client.
In the server I can connect all four databases without any problem.
I am using tnsping <servicename> from the client, is getting OK.
I Observed the tnsnames.ora in the client , nothing found strange. Because all client machines have this problem.
Pleas advise?

First of all all clients are working properly till yesterday without any problem. Today I faced this problem in all clients around 10 clients same time. I feel it is may be Host machine database /network setting problem. How we can trace?
When I restart Listner using lsnrctl command in server , then I can connect from client using SQLplus but a while only. When I Establish another connection in the same client or from any other client, it won't allow me. Also , connected session getting error.
When I issue lsnrctl status command in server it is displaying like this. Maxnew is the one that have problem.

ITunes won't launch and I get a strange error message-

My iTunes will not launch and I get this strange error message: The iTunes application could not be opened. The disk could not be read from or written to. But I have no problems with the disk it is on, which is my harddisk. Help, help, help…

I have now tried a billion things: None of them work. I still get the same error message, when I try to launch iTunes after logging into my user profile. However, I can launch iTunes 6.0.1 if I create another userprofile on my computer and log into that. But that isn't very helpful. I have also tried removing iTunes 6.0.1 and installing iTunes 4.7 instead. I can actually launch that. However, I cannot connect to the iTunes music store using iTunes 4.7 nor can I play any of the music purchased from the iTunes music store. What am I to do, except curse Apple for creating a version of iTunes that many people seem to have problems with?

How did you create the CustomizationContext when calling the method on the EJB.
you need to make sure you pass in the ServletRequest. If you are calling this from outside a web container. you wil need to use a mock request or take a look at ExportImportManager.

Error msg states that you have used crossdim operator with the member of same dim. Cross check again.
EX:
"C1130"->"Headcount" -> "SG&A" -> "All Projects" -> "All Employees"
Are all of these members belong to different dimesions?
