I have three displays - whats going on with the resolution?
Ok so I have a 24 inch iMac, a 22 inch samsung monitor and an epson projector.
I bought a VGA switcher, plugged the VGA source from my iMac into it then output to my monitor and my projector, I can switch outputs with a button to either the monitor or the projector.
However, when setting up the resolutions, it will detect my monitor as "VGA display" and only gives my resolution options for the projector. If I just connect it straight to the monitor I can go to 1680 x 1050 on it, but if my projector is also connected to the vga switcher even though it isn't in use I have to select one of the resolutions that it supports.
Very annoying because it doesn't have 1680x1050 as an option, I have to choose 1600x 1200 which is stretched. Doesn't seem to matter which plugs the two are in it will always default to the projector. Anyone know why? and what i can do to solve it?

thanks for the reply, I tried that but I get the same results. I fact I just restarted my iMac without the projector attached so all I had was vga from imac into vga splitter, vga from splitter into my monitor.
When I choose detect displays it picks up the monitor and calls it VGA display and has loads of resolution options but not 1680 x 1050 which is the one i want.
Is it possible that the splitter is at fault and that it doesn't support 1680 x 1050? it will let me have 1600 x 1200 and loads in between up to 2304 x 1728. Do different vga switches support different resolutions?
Oddly, if i go straight from imac to monitor and detect displays it sees it as a syncmaster, and works, then if i plug into the vga splitter and monitor it continues to work, its just when i next restart it switches back to the wrong one.

I have no idea what to do with the payments for stuff I bought on iTunes.
Ok I had a card from a rebate atatched to the account and it has just expired. Now itunes wants me to pay from a different card for the things I bought in the week before it expired. I had the amount needed to pay for what i bought on the rebate card and bought my last thing before the card expired because i thought it would be stupid to let the money go without actually using it. I was looking today (it expired overnight) at itunes and now its saying i need to pay for them because the have not been pasyed for yet or something like that and i need to update the billing adress but i cant and dont want to one because i dont want to pay for something i had already had the money to pay for and they didnt charge me on it or something and 2 because i dont have another card to use bc i do not have a credit or checking or any card bc other than the rebate card i only have cash. sorry my question is so long but thank you for all the help you people can give me. ps i cant even get a card bc im 15
The rebate card that my mom let me use was after they had bought a new phone and try had let me have what was left on it 7.92 and it counted as a visa credit card so I could use it to activate my account the problem is that I bought the stuff before it expired and it is now expired and it's sayin I still need to pay for what I bought with the old card and I don't want to pay twice for the same things that's just stupid I'm goin to get a gift card for the lowest amount so I can still get the free stuff but I don't think I should be responsible to pay for something thy I bought with a card that had the money on it for them to charge bc they debt send out the bill to them when I got the stuff bc there is stuff on it for like Monday saying I need to pay for it when the card didn't even expire till Thursday night

Hello I am getting an error with the emulation. I feel it its pretty pointless having it if i can not use it live. Any one out there come acroos this issue and if so how do I fix it?
Cheers..... The emulation of samsungtest has completed successfully. Your app binary is located at c:/etc etc etcyet the emulator is not running on my desktop? Strange. I do get a pre load error and it tells me go to the bulldog. My desktop emulator on the taskbar is a blank file icon and before it loads i get a pre load error?

Thanks in advance.it would not be install of Adobe that would cause this, however a changed printer driver may. Has the printer driver changed? Do you see any difference on the rpeort if you set the option "No Printer? (File menu, select Page setup).
When you say the report is now 21 pages, do you mean it has more data? Or has the format changed such that it is 21 pages long. The latter would again point to printer driver... -

Whenever i have a mozilla browser on and i try to open another mozilla window browser it work pull up a new window. When close the browser that was on, it will still show up on Task Manager. Whats going on with this?

What is going on with the Iphone4 home button locking up? I see lots of people having issues with the button becoming unresponsive, but no resolution.

No they do not and no it is not affecting a large portion of the user community.
If it is an actual hardware issue, the only fix is to repair or replace the hardware.
If it is a software issue, restoring as new will fix it. -

what's wrong with the activation server? i just bought my ipad wifi celllular... and have a 3g cellular network connection... when i press the bottom to activate my ipad it says the activation server cannot be reached. what to do then?

I found the following that goes over troubleshooting the same issue for the iPhone. I know you have an iPad, but the steps should still apply:
Perform the following steps:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.

What is wrong with the app store and how long before its fixed, im downloading atna very slow pash and i have a 10mb uncontested line.
Sorry, its on both my iphone 4s (2 iphones) and ipad2 that the app store is slow, I have done all the above and still when i download a 1 mb app it take about a half a hour just to download and previously it wasn't even a second. When browsing the web the devices are fast and internet speed is good, but when going in to app store it takes long to load and show me the new app, updates, featured app ect. We watch movie online and the streaming is brilliant. Even on my windows pc the app store is slow and sometimes says that i store could not be opened, i have also tried on my buddies wifi and there it does exactly the same which makes me think that its on apples side, but why do you not have any problems?

What is going on with the SPAM filtering? Works fine for a couple of weeks then suddenly I got slammed with tons of SPAM for a few hours then suddenly the filtering kicks in again. Usually happens late at night and clears up in the morning. Never had this problem until just a couple months ago. It's gotten so bad that I'm about to move everything over to gmail and just stop using Verizon, would rather not do that as I've had the same e-mail address since the Bell Atlantic days.Since we haven't heard back from you or have received a form submission as requested in your private support case, it appears assistance is no longer required. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LATEST UPDATE?? Ever since the May update for the Samsung Note 3 I've been having issues with my phone! Battery charge does not hold, it charges slow and then drains VERY fast. I can't even make it through the day without charging. Today it went from 100% to 37% in a few hours just sitting on my desk! Also, having camera issues, I snap a picture and it takes so long to process that it doesn't take the picture I was aiming at but a blurred image of the area around my focal point! Also, since the update I keep getting the message "touch wiz has stopped" when I press the navi key. Are this issues being corrected? Is Samsung or Verizon fixing these issues. When will the next update come out? The only suggestion I'm hearing is to reset the phone, but I'd lose settings, apps, etc. That is NOT a solution!! I'm very frustrated, and angry. This phone is way too expensive to have to deal with these issues!

Same issue, since last night. Can't sign in to iTunes, download apps, or updates to apps on any device. I have iPhone 4S, iPad mini, MacBook Pro. East coast, writing this at 1:21pm EST. Changing password doesn't work. I can't log in with my iCloud address either. I have however noticed at least that if I enter the wrong password, I just get the incorrect password message. Using the right password gets the FATAL:: message every time.
I have my devices set to UK for the region even though I am in the US. Though that might have something to do with it so I switched to US- no change, same problem.
I agree that acknowledgement via their system status would be appropriate. Irritating that they are not at least publicly acknowledging there is a problem. I would feel much less concerned if I knew that they were aware and working on it. Can't find a support number anywhere but I did send a brief message via their help/contact page. -
What is going on with the life battery of iP 5????!!!!! even if I don't touch my phone the battery is empty in maximum 3h ! Not this they were the expectations .......
