I have to close firefox to install flash player. Then when I open a program that uses flashplayer I t says I need to install flashplayer. It works on IE. Why doesn't it work on firefox?

I have downloaded the latest version of flash player, yet when i go to watch a youtube video, it says that the plugin is missing?

I just got my macbook pro today. I went to youtube to watch a video, but it told me that i needed to install flash. I followed the link and installed it, and despite the fact that it told me that is installed successfully, I still am not able to watch youtube videos because i am "still missing" flash.

Using Firefox 4.0 Beta 4. When I open a link in a new window, the web address does not show in the location bar. Why?

When I open a web page link in "a new window" the link opens, but the web page information does not appear in the location bar. It is blank. If I open the link in a new tab, there is ho problem.
Further, if a open a link from the tab without a location in a new tab on the same window and then go back to the original tab, the location bar fills with the web address.
Have done this starting in several locations, so it not location dependent.

That behaviour is likely top be caused by an add-on, and in your case the likely culprit is IE Tab 2, the various versions of IE Tab have caused problems with Firefox 4 beta including issues with the location bar not being updated.
You can test to see if IE Tab 2 is causing your problem by disabling it and then seeing if the location bar in a new window shows the address. If it is not that add-on causing the problem, see [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
For info, the IE Tab Plus add-on has been updated recently to improve compatibility with Firefox 4 beta, you may want to try that one instead. The latest version is available from http://coralietab.mozdev.org/installation.html

I do not have the correct version of the flash player, but when I follow the steps to download it, it still doesn't work in Firefox. (It does work in Internet Explorer)

Every time I click on a video icon, the response I get is that I cannot play the clip because I do not have the correct flashplayer. However, when I click to download it, nothing changes. I even tried disabling my security setting but it still did not work. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting help was too complicated for me to figure out. IE uses a different version of Flash than other browsers use.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

I keep receiving this error: "the application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem" when trying to update program that use adobe AIR (vudu-to-go)

Can anyone tell me how I can get around this error? I've tried reinstalling adobe air and reinstalling the programs but neither works.

This issue happens when an older version of Adobe Story is already installed on a system.
To resolve this issue you will have to first remove that version and then install the latest one.
Now depending upon which system you are using, below are the steps:
MAC:
Open 'Applications' folder in Finder.
Move 'Adobe Story' application to Trash and remove it from Trash too.
Just to make sure that this application is not installed on a different drive, do a search for 'Adobe Story' in spotlight. If it is present on a different location, then remove it from there too.
Now log into story.adobe.com and download the desktop application again and install it.
WINDOWS:
Open Controls Panel and uninstall Adobe Story application
Now log into story.adobe.com and download the desktop application again and install it

When I try to print a photo in iPhoto it says I need to install a theme. How do I do this?

I am on my MacPro desktop. I am using iPhoto vdrsion 9.2.3.
While perusing my photos, I click one and attempt to print the photo (Cmd P).
I get a dialog box alerting me to an error which reads: There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable.
I have tried downloading the latest print drivers for my HP Photosmart C4200 but no luck.
Although I know that a basic theme allows you to select border, borderless, etc. for your printed photo, I cannot figure out how to install a theme.
My workaround is to email the photo to myself and print it from the Preview app.
Any ideas?

Sometimes when Flash is embedded into a page, it doesn't resize proportionally when you zoom. Could you try adjusting the zoom level and see whether that helps?
* Hold down Ctrl and tap the + key to enlarge, and the - key to reduce
* Hold down Ctrl and tap 0 (zero) to return to the base level of zoom
* Or use the zoom buttons on the "3-bar" button menu panel

Firefox closed unexpectedly. Since then when I open it McAfee site advisor is showing grey. Is this a problem?

When I go other pages on Firefox ( Troubleshooting, Help ) it turns green. Only the opening page shows grey.

How stop iCal from switching all my events to the date beforeI assigned them? It saves but then when I open the program again all my events have been messed up.

iCal on my macbookpro moves events to the day before I originally saved them..especially birthdays. I will create an event for the 2nd of September, for example, and then when I restart my computer and open iCal the same event is saved for the 1st even though I created it for the 2nd. I continue to correct the moved events but iCal continues to move them. I do not use an iphone or ipad with my macbookpro. My computer is operating on mountain lion. Please help!

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

Have to install flash player almost every day

It seems like I have to un-install the re-install flash
player almost every day. I download it one day every thing works
great on all websites that use flash. Then the next day not flash
site works therefore I have to un-install flash player then
re-install it to view flash content. Then the whole cycle repeats.
