I have to customized the number range from 0000000A0000 to 9999999Z9999 internally but in tran. MMNR system throws error enter numerical value only.is it not possible to enter alfa numerical number range.Pl. help me.

Internal No. range can be only numeric and external no. range can be numeric, alphanumeric or alphabetic.

Using T-code PE03, the feature numbkr was changed i.e the return value has been changed from 3 to 2(internal no. assigned)
Error found when performing action using T-Code PA30 is -could not find interval for the number range 2.

To get the next available number:
Go to SNRO-> Click on Number Ranges button -> Click on status -> u will get the current number
Also you can use FM "NUMBER_GET_NEXT" to get the next number

How to change number range from internal to external?

Hi Experts,
I have changed the number ranges for accounting document for company code (A1) external to internal and posted one accounting document using the tr.code FBN1. Now i need to revert back the changes for the number range from internal to external. i am not able to cancel the accounting document as its cancellation accounting document? please let me know any other way to change the number range from external to internal?

You need to define the order type for a production orders in tcode opjh
For this order type you need to define the number ranges as external number range.
The defined number ranges should not overlap with the existing ones

The number range for sales documents

Hi all,
I have difined a new number range intervals, but the "current number" doesn't match with saved sales documents' number.
I guess that's because there are old saved sales documents are remained in the system which had saved before I defined a new number range intervals.
Is there any way to delete past saved sales orders so that newly defined numbers are going to be assigned?

ok, so now I understand that I can't delete saved sales orders from the system if these are important documents such as billings.
so If it's impossible to delete old documents in the system, I still need sales documents' number to match the numbers which I have newly defined.
For example, I recently defined a interval no. as below,
Interval No. From Numer To Number Current Number
Z1 010000000 019999999 010000503
I have assigned the interval no. "Z1" to a sales order type. and then created a sale order using the sales order type.
The sales order No. showed "010000504" which looks fine. But when I go back to the customizing to see how the "Z1"'s current number has changed,(I expected it to be "010000504"), I find the current number now became totally random number such as "010000913".
From here, again when I create sales orders, it is "010000505", "010000506", "010000507",,,,,and so on.
But the current number doesn't change at all from "010000913".
I'm lost and need a kind help from SAP pro.

Plant specific customer master number range

Dear Chentan,
No you cannot maintain Plant specific number ranges. WHat you can do is create seperate Customer account groups (SH, SP, BP, PY) for each Plant & assign unique number rages to eacg group.
But the above is recomended only if you have couple of plants say 2 or 3 plants. If you have multiple plants then it would to confusions. Also the standard system would not give Customer's outstanding Plant-wise & it can only give company code wise.
Thus having seperate Customer's number range for each plant does not seems to be much beneficial...

When I try to capture deemed export license from J1ILIC01 I get this error
The number range is not maintained for Object/Year: J_1ILIC/
I tried to maintain number ranges in SNRO & SNUM there the changes are saved but I am not able to capture the license and receive the same error again. Please help.

Just check if you have maintained number range for the correct year as shown in error.
Goto SNRO/SNUM enter the object ID and click on number range .Maintain there for that particular year.

Jump in Customer master number range

Hello friends,
Earlier i had a jump in my Customer master number range.Since it had a buffer of 5 Nos set in the number range object debitor.Now i have removed the buffer .
Is it possible for me to use the unused numbers ie;Create new customer codes with the missed out numbers.I couldnt ge the list of unassigned numbers in XDN1.In the drop down menu that option is greyed and i couldnt select it.
Pls let me know whether it is possible to use the unassigned numbers.If yes how.

Thanks for u reply.This is a internal number range.The same has been assigned to the account group.If you can go and Check XDN1.In the menu bar --->Intervals There is a option to view the unassigned numbers and option for reorganising.But those menu items are greyed out.I would like to know the possibility to use thatand take corrective action.

Urgent : Unable to maintain the Number ranges for Excise Groups

Hi CIN experts............
In Development server I created 3 excise Groups (E2,E3 and E4), the same I was transported to Production.
J_1IRG23A1, J_1IRG23A2 object number ranges are Excise Group specific.
When I go to Tools - Number Ranges to maintain number range for J_1IRG23A1, J_1IRG23A2 objects I didn't find these excise groups.
Im able to see these Excise groups in Tools - Number ranges in Development server, but not in Production.
Can any one guide me something to resolving the issue ?

Strikes -
Go into compositionReady and have 3 variables you will be able to set them like this
strike1 = 0;
strike2 = 0;
strike3 = 0;
So on the wrong item click have
if(strike1 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE1 ANIMATION
strike1 = 1;
else if(strike2 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION
strike2 = 1;
else if(strike3 == 0) {
PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION
strike3 = 1;
So this will make it so when the wrong item is clicked each strike will be played in order.
Random Scrolling -
You should look into the Math.Random function to make things random in edge.
This is an example of the Random function. It will generate a random number up to 100.

So we can create another variable in compositionReady for the lose score.
score = 0;
Now when the user gains a point to add to the score you could do this code on the click
score++;
which would add 1 to the score, However you can add however much you like to the score doing "score + 2" and so on.
To edit a text with the score at the end which I'm assuming you will want to do you will use .html
so $("Text").html("You score is " + score);

Restting the number ranges

Client Copy: Each time a client copy is made, material movement postings cannot be processed until several number ranges are reset and the user gets the message Express document update was terminated. These number ranges can be reset thru SNRO. But identifying what objects need to be reset also difficult. I dont know how to identify what objects need to be reset the number ranges. This problem occurs each time a client copy is made (The user faces). I am trying to reset all the objects number ranges automatically by writing a custom program. Each time the client copy is made, the user can run this program and be able to reset the number ranges for all objects automatically. Can anyone help me if I can write a program to achieve this and how?

HI,
Try to use the program RSSNR0I0 for resetting the number range object. This will accept only one number range object.
Otherwise create a new program and call the FM NUMBER_RANGE_INTERVAL_INIT with the number of objects one by one.

Reset the Current Number in the Number Ranges

Hello Friends,
Is it possible to change the current number in the number range based on a condition?
My requirement is, I have generated the number using the Function Module NUMBER_GET_NEXT. If the user clicks on Save then the number generated is saved. But if the user doesnt click on save, the number is not saved but the number is wasted. Now if I create a new number that will be the next number in the sequence. I want that if the user has not clicked on save then the same number should be generated again, so that the numbers are not wasted.

I don't hink it is possible with the number ranges.
Yes, as you said some numbers will be wasted in between.
But in real PRoduction we don't click just like that on SAVe button wasting the numbers.
Check the Tcodes SNUM and SNRO.

T.code F-01, error message F5150: the number range ... is missing

Hi All,
creating by F-01 a 'sample document', SAP gives me the message F5150: "... the number range ... is missing ..."
But in OBA7 and FBN1 I can't find the missing range.
Is there a different customizing step to create a range for sample document?

You can basically use the sample document as a reference while posting an accounting document. Use T Codes FBR1/FBR2.
