I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD FIREFOX EACH TIME WHEN STARTING THE COMPUTER. WHEN I CLICK ON THE DESK ICON NOTHING HAPPENS AND IT ALSO DISAPPEARS FROM THE TASKBAR
the firefox icon disappears from the taskbar when the computer is switched off and clicking desktop icon does not help so every time I have to download firefox again through Explorer. I know that the program is stored somewhere on my computer but it's not clickable and requires new downloading.
I you see javascript: then that means that there is an onclick event attached to the link, so make sure that you aren't blocking JavaScript if such a link isn't working.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

how can i get it to run and get rid of ie9
no luck i cannot get anything out of firefox. it just looks like it going to lunch but then even that stops after a few seconds. anything else i can do? should i try to go into programs and uninstall it and then reinstall it again?
another problem i just found (like i need anymore) a solution that someone gave me when i had problems lunching fireforx a while ago was to download the latest version of firefox and save it. then i had to go into my program files and find the file mozilla/firefox and delete it and then find the firefox i saved and finish the download which fixed whatever problem was causing the firefox to not lunch. now when i tried to do the same i cannot. the file that has mozilla firefox in it when i try to delete won't let me it says i have to have premission. so i go into the properties and see the permissions it list it as CREATOR OWNER but it only has permission to do certain thing in the folder like subfolers etc so therefore i cannot delete it. when i try to delete the creator owner or even change the premissions for it it won't let me. i do not even know where this creator owner came from. i am the only one that has use of my computer. like i said i am not very computer smart so any help u can give me please make sure they are detailed. i appreicate all u have done so far. i just want my firefox back. -
For the past few weeks when I place a bid on ebay, Firefox crashes. The bid goes through but I have to restart Firefox each time. I have sent a report each time and asked to be notified and as of yet I have not got a solution to this problem.
I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6. -

Hi I am using Windows 7 and IE 10 and I have to reinstall Flash Player each time I start my computer, even with a fresh install. The same thing is happening on my laptop and is driving me crazy. Make sure that you allow Firefox in your security software (firewall).
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

I downloaded an album and it shows up on all my devices but on my iPhone 5 there is the cloud icon on most of the songs but when I tap it nothing happens and I can't play the song. All the songs play on my iPad and MacBook. It seems like my iPhone will not let me download the rest of the songs, and I have 3.5 GB of remaining space. Help!

"The text you provide becomes the email address ([email protected]). An alias must contain between 3 and 20 characters."
This certainly implies that the alias is not required to be your registered name, and only becomes the prefix for a new @me.com address. There might be something going on with the servers right now as they are probably very focused on getting ready for the iPhone 5 pre-order release, which is supposed to happen any minute now. You might have better luck if you waited a while. -

When I switch libraries I "lose" the majority of the material in my main library (or at least I can't see it) and can only restore it by repairing the database. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can resolve the problem? Thanks
I seem to have found a way around it. Rather than switching libraries by going into files/switch libraries I used Aperture Preferences to change them. I've done it a couple of times and it appears to work OK.
That is an interesting finding. It suggests, that your "Preferences" file "com.apple.Aperture.plist" may have been corrupted and you fixed it this way. Can you now switch between libraries the usual way? If not, I'd try to remove the "preferences" file from the user library to the Desktop and relaunch Aperture.

Which Mail icon? That in the Applications folder, that in the Dock, or some other? You do not have to quit your applications in order to shut down your computer (heck, you hardly ever need to shut down your computer).

I deleted the playlists on my iPhone and when I now try to synchronize with my iTunes account to put the music back, nothing happens and I do not get the music back on my iPhone. Anyone who knows why that could be? Grateful for any suggestions!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer -
My Ipad has a message on the screenthat indicates that the unit has not been backed up for two weeks. When I press the OK icon nothing happens. I tried to shut the unit down and the red slider does not function.
A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.

When I record an audio track using Logic Pro X, there is a visible waveform which appears as I record. When I stop recording, the waveform disappears and becomes a straight line. It also disappears from the track edit window. But the sound is still there. How can I stop the waveform from disappearing? And can I do something to view it after it has disappeared? Anyone know the anser?

This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform. -

I guess you could try but I don't believe Apple can help with activation lock issues. They may, however, be able to determine if the Apple ID belongs to one of you and reset the password for you if you can prove your identity.
You might want to try calling Apple by going to https://expresslane.apple.com; click 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Perhaps they can help determine if it's your ID and reset the password for you (and they probably have more expertise in doing this than the Apple store). -
ical (the calendar program) that came with this apple mac pc suddenly stopped working. When I pulled the icon from the desktop, it then disappeared from the computer.I have been using it from the desktop for the past two years, without trouble. It has uninstalled itself, without my intervention and has eradicated all traces of it, including all my entries from the computer memory. There is no program in the applications list. Can you say why this may have happened please?

In several attempts to download Firefox, each time I wind up with "In Box."
I have been trying to download Firefox on a Sony laptop (4 years old). Each time I download (last time from Mozilla.org/Firefox) I get "In Box," and not Firefox. The Firefox logo appears on the tool bar at the bottom of the screen but when the icon is clicked I get a "In Box" screen. Have searched programs file to see if it appears so I can delete it but it does not appear. I am running Windows 7 (premium home addition).
