I have to format my mac disk. what should i backup?

i couldnt repair my mac disk. the "repair permissions" was greyed out. i have to start from 0. i know im dumb to not have a backup.
i can access my mac disk from the bootcamp partition windows 7. im planning saving in an external disc all my important files, but im afraid that i cant backup everything :/
i started to copy my user folder, which have all my music, media, etc.
but how to deal with applications? i dont have all the discs, is it possible to save them? what else should i remember to backup?

yes, i have done a lot of things.. but i cant write on the disk cause it has a problem, so i cant repair permissions (its greyed out the option), i tried from single user mode, and tried too from the install disc. i searched for a way to run repair permissions from the terminal of the install disc, but it wasnt possible, because the disk wasnt writable.
the other solution was running disk warrior, maybe i will buy it if this mission is impossible.
the only option i have is to rescue manually the files i have on the mac disk.
but i dont know how to, my iphoto library, my logic pro proyects, my mac diary, my itunes library, i dont know how, should i just copy the files and expect everything worked like before? i dont think so.
