You can choose a background for the text from Maps and Backgrounds. Just drag a background to the end of the timeline, adjust to desired duration then drag title above it.

Text element in smart form

hi experts,
I am changing a standard smartform. The new requirment is I have to display a new text element for which the value come from a table depending on the input.
I worte a fm to get the value and i am catching the export param of the fm into a variable which I am catching into a text element. The FM is returning the correct value but I am not able to display it on the smartfomr out put. Please help me.

Check your text element's output options:
Select your text element... Go to Output Options... in the frame at last "Output Structure" you can see the line and columns. Check if this lines and columns are being used by anyother text element.

Retrieve text elementes of deleted report

We have deleted a ABAP report that we thought was not used anymore.
Now I want to Retrieve this report. There is no problem retrieving this report using version management but I have a problem with the text elements and selection texts. I only can retrive the original language from SE38 - I wan't to retrieve all languages.
We are on ERP2005.

Text element of sales order form

I have a question about the text element of sales order printing form.
i run a sales order with some price condition (ZKFA) - VA03 and want to print it out
before i print it without ZKFA price, it's correct when printing , after input the ZKFA price, all the item detail are missing
I've checked the SAPScript form ..and see there are many /E (text element) .to control. and i think it's the key ~
but i don't know how I can debug it step by step in SE71 ...and show the foreground process to know and find where is the problem...
i don't know which system program is run to control the form text element...

Error during activation of text elements

Hello All,
I have a problem activating the text elements of a program. The
text elements can be edited but can not be activated. It displays an error during activation prompt.I tried deleteing it and recreating but still does not work.

Hi,
What i understood from the question is, you have to copy all the text elements of a zprogram to ascii raw file.
Use READ TEXTPOOL <zprog> INTO itab LANGUAGE sy-langu, so you will get an it of type textpool.
You can use GUI_download to download contents of it to ascii for. I think it will work out.

TPSSHT01 text elements

Hi,
I use one extension of idoc TPSSHT01 in order to create shipments received from external systems.
On processing the idoc it is necessary to create some texts elements for some of the customs fields.
I know I must use create_text FM but I dont know how and where to do it. I thought user exit EXIT_SAPLV56I_012 is the place to create text elements, but I can not see any variable populated with the shipment number.
Any idea?

For every report you create using SE38 transaction
Go -> Text Element -> Text Symbols / Selection texts / List heading
Text elements are basically these 3 sub-elements ->
Text Symbols / Selection texts / List heading
You can maintain texts for various languages.
The benefit in this case, you do not need to maintain the same text in various languages inside the report. You just need to do the transalation of text elements to make them appear in various lanaguages.
For example, incase when you log on to SAP server, it asks for Client no / Username / Password and the langauge (Say EN (ForEnglish), DE (For German)).
Incase o log on in DE langauge, all the texts in the SAP screen will be visible in German langauge. This is possible using Text elements.

After hitting Command-F, I now have to place the cursor in the text box!

Since I upgraded to 10.5.7, when I search using Command-F, the cursor no longer defaults to inside the text entry field in the search window. After it opens, I still have to place the cursor before typing. Is there a way to change this? Why would Apple add an extra step in what should be a simple operation?

Text elements not centered anymore once project goes live

Hi guys,
I've discovered Edge Animate a few days ago and I really love that it looks and feels a lot like After Effects - you should exchange and implement some functions of EA to AE (i.e. the curves easing options) & vice versa though
What I went through, until know
First of all, I am a Worpdress user using a responsive theme and the Edge Suite plug in.
I've created a typo animation using a custom licensed web font and it took me a while to get it to work properly - the web-kit generated by the myfonts.com kit builder didnt' work with EA, so I had to let fontsquirrel create one instead. Now, the SVG font file gets exported upon export, but the EOT, WOFF and TTF files don't - not sure if it's a bug, but it's an easy thing to copy the files via FTP to the "../uploads/edge_suite/project/..." folder in order to fix this.
My Problem
After uploading the animation to my server via the Edge Suite plug in, approx. 50% of the text elements are not in the right place anymore. The affected elements are all offset by a fixed amount of pixels vertically, while they actually should be centered. When I run the HTML file of the exported web animation locally, everything's fine though.
The problem occurs in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and on the iPhone.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

I have analysed the code of the animation being rendered on my Wordpress site, but the CSS coordinates all correspond to the parameters inside EA.
I've also installed the Edge Suite plug on a different Wordpress installation (a complete different site) of mine, and the results are even worse. It seems like the origin of some elements is being tossed around space.
That said, I'm clueless.

How to call new window and text element without changing print program

I have requirement like this . i have a standard print prog and custom form. i want add 2 to 3 extra windows in the form and i have to print some data. but how can v do this with out changing the print program. i know that to pick new fields through subroutines. but how can v call new windows and new text elements with out changing the print program.
usually in the print program we write as follows.

window = 'HEADER'
textelemtn = 'HEADER'
can we accomplish this one also through subroutines or any other way is there.
can any one pls suggest this.

Addition of extra Space issue in site studio text element

Hi,
we have implemented WCM for our website. We are in webcenter PS3 version.
At places where we have used text element for titles of various sections,
if we append one extra space and save it, it displays as in front end.
When we remove the space, it does not clear. But if we cut and paste once the word once again it is perfect.
Is there any solution to trim that space when it is displayed at front end. Please suggest.

Gumbo text elements and embedded fonts

ok I found the solution. The first time, I searched in the "CSS Advanced Selectors" spec document for the solution and I found nothing about it. Then I had the "great" idea to look in the only right place which is of course "Text Primitives (TextBox, TextGraphic, and TextView)". There I found the hint about "DefineFont4" which, with some search, led me to the solution:
1. Add the new property "cff: true" in the "@font-face" css block
2. Set the property fontLookup="embeddedCFF" for the text element
et voilÃ !

I have given up messing with stylesheets, trying display:
block, inline, different ways of formatting the XML, messing with
XML.ignoreWhiteSpace, and XML.prettyPrinting etc.
I went down the route of encodeURI, using a RegExp to strip
out all tabs, linefeeds and carriage returns. This now gives
consistent results for all situations, even embedded and none
embedded fonts.
e.g.
_text:String = TEXT FROM XML, HTML TEXT etc
var st:String = encodeURI(_text);
var pattern:RegExp = /(%09)+|(%0A)+|(%0D)+/g;
st = st.replace(pattern, "");
st = decodeURI(st);
YOUTEXTFIELD.htmlText = st;
The tags still behave as a tag, but you
can add an extra to simulate a paragraph.

Smartforms - Change a text elements character Format

Hello,
I need to modify a Smartform by increasing the font size on some text elements. When I highlight the text element to change and then click the dropdown for Character Format I can click the format I would like but it never changes.
I've also tried resetting the character formats but it always gets back to it orginal size/settings.
How can I change the character format in a text element?

It appears I have to delete the field then change the character format to the font I want and finally drop the field back into place on the screen.
If there is another way to do it, I never found it.
Switching to the classic editor may work as well. Worth trying.

Place XML into Library element

I am automating the process of placing library element as anchored element.
The actual task is, I have an sidenote text in the indesign document. These text also contains XML tags.
I want to place this sidenote text into an library item called "MN1". This library item is a group of Picture and Textframes. Then this library item is placed into the document as anchored element.
With my script, I am able place the XML into library item. But the problem is, I am not able to place this library item as anchored.

Upgrade to 9.2.0.3, until I upgrade I could not get the web-dav upload to work at all.
The only problems I've had with this is if I logged on to web-dav as a different user from that which I registered the schema with. One thing I have noticed, is that the file size is shown as being 0 when the xml has been shredded successfully.
And the previous answer is right, if you use FTP you might see better error messages.
