I have to reconnect every time I startup or reboot..?

Every time I shutdown and then restart I lose my airport connection.. and I have to reconnect via the network diagnostics panel that appears on the web page that say s I am not connected to the internet.. Is this a normal procedure..? alternatively if I click on the airport signal displayed in the top bar where the time is located I can click on the network I want to connect to,but my password is never accepted. ( I had someone setup the network though and have the password ). Anyway it is all new to me but I dont believe I should have to set up the network via the network diagnostics panel, I believe just entering the password should be the trick, am I correct ..?

Definitely not, I never have to do anything to start my airport connection. I do have problems dropping the connection but that is another issue. And once I set it up I never have to enter my password.
What Airport router do you have? In the Network preferences does Airport have a green light? Actually it isn't clear to me why you are using the web browser to connect. Do you have the airport icon on your menu bar? It should display the status of your connection and you ought to be able to turn it on/off from there.

Ethernet connection must be reconnected every time at startup

I'm connecting over ethernet using PPPoE, and my problem is whenever I restart the computer, I have to go into Network Preferences and click "Connect" for the ethernet connection (the password and all other info is saved - I just hit connect and it instantly does so). I think it's because it's trying to connect via my wireless network, although I have Wi-Fi turned off, and it remains off when I restart. Any suggestions for ensuring that the computer automatically connects through the ethernet connection?

Thanks for the reply - I tried typing that in, first all in one line and then hitting enter, then doing the first line (sudo ifconfig en0 down) and hitting enter so I could type the second part on its own line. Both times it gave me this warning:
WARNING: Improper use of the sudo command could lead to data loss
or the deletion of important system files. Please double-check your
typing when using sudo. Type "man sudo" for more information.
It then asked me to type my password or hit ctrl + c to cancel, but it wouldn't let me type the password.
I tried again by typing it all into one line and restarting without hitting enter. I held down the four keys but just got one bong. When I logged back in it was not connected.
I'm guessing I did something wrong entering that into the text utility?

worksafe's link with the KeyChain fix is good.
This usually happens when KeyChain has two entries for the same WiFi network.
If repair did not work you can follow the manual steps:
Disconnect WiFi
Open KeyChain from Applications / Utilities and find your WiFi network entry(ies) and delete all of them.
Connect to your WiFi again.

Have to restart every time I starup - RAID or other set-up problem?

It's off topic - apologies - I've had no luck in the Mac Pro forum or general searching. I am posting here too as I wonder if it's to do with my FCP or RAID settings, or similar...
Every time I startup, the Mac Pro freezes straight away and I have to restart. When I do I get the RAID utility which gives an error message due to the 'disorderly shutdown'.
At one point I also got RAID errors as I wasn't letting the RAID card battery charge, but I have since worked that out. I have no RAID knowledge (it is not my mac, just the one I am working on) and don't fully understand how it effects this set up.
I have 1 system and 2 media drives, Internal 1TB. And according to the RAID utility - one RO-1 RAID Set.
I tried to post a screen grab of the RAID utility but can't seem to make that work.
I've tried Safe Booting, Repairing permissions, and no joy - always the double startup.
Any pointers appreciated..

The wolf Among Us crashes every time on startup !!

" The Wolf Among Us" game still crashes every time on startup, and that happened after I purchased episode 2 more than week ago and I didn't play it until this moment.
I have tried to re-install, restart my device, contacted the developer (Telltale) and a lot of other solutions but still doesn't work.
So i hope somebody have a solution for me..

Aperture is crashing in the Facebook publisher plug-in. You may have synced back corrupted image files from Facebook, that cannot be processed. Have you recently edited or changed photos in your Facebook galleries?
Try if you can launch Aperture with the Shift-key held down. That will defer the generation of previews. Perhaps this way you can get access to Aperture and temporarily disable Facebook, and check if the synced albums contain photos with problematic filenames or other corruptions.

Locked out of mail have to unlock every time I try to access it.

I have been using my mac (mini) for a couple years and have always had macs, so I;m not an idiot (meh)…Just recently I have been locked out of my mail every time I try to use it, with either "disabled for security reasons" or "unable to connect to iCloud.." This is a personal computer…no network to deal with, just me, my iPad and iPhone. It is really really annoying. I have reset password, checked iCloud preferences to make sure my primary email address is the right one, and still have to unlock every time on every device. I have 3 accounts as I am old and have been through the @mac, @me and @icloud. I know I am missing something that is probably simple, but for the life of me I can't figure out what. When I go to unlock it everything works fine, but I have to do this constantly. I have never been asked to do this before the last 2 weeks, now it is ever-present. @mac has always been my primary email…it has never been changed (by me). I am lost,

go to settings > iTunes & App Stores > click on that apple ID then sign out.

If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

Do i have to render every time??

i have a simple piece of text in my browser (named the default name "text") that i use over and over in lots of sequences. i stuck a drop shadow in and now i have to render every time? is that right? i didn't have to render before; is there a way to just render the one time?

Create your title, put it in and empty timeline, but do NOT render it.
File>Export>QuickTime Conversion.
Set the format type to QuickTime. Click on Options and set the codec to Animation. Set Colors to Millions+. Export.
When you bring this back into your project and put it over video in the timeline, it will still have to be rendered to composite over video, so I'm not sure it will gain you anything.
