I have to reinstall Itunes everytiem I want to use it
Hi guys,
The tile sums it up pretty much. Everytime I want to open iTunes I have to uninstall it and then reinstall it again, then it works for a few minutes and then stops. If I don't do that it won't open and that Quicktime missing message will pop up.
I have already tried uninstalling all Apple software from my computer, I've cleaned my registry, checked if there was anything related with Apple and iTunes with Windows Clean Up utility software but none of those has helped solve my problem. It started happening after I had installed iTunes on my new hard drive that I've recently bought.
Since I've got not replies from this post I (fortunately) managed to solve it on my own.
As I've already said, itunes wouldn't start saying quicktime wasn't installed, so I tried uninstalling quicktime and then installing quicktime alternative, which didn't help eiter BUT after that I uninstalled all apple softwares from my computer and then reinstalled them.
iTunes 10.1 has been working fine ever since and so is Quicktime. It seems that installing and then uninstalling quicktime alternative magicly solve my quicktime issue.
So I advise everyone else who's also having problems with quicktime to try quicktime alternative to see if it helps.

Have to reinstall iTunes each time I want to sync
So I upgraded all my software and finally got my iPad 2 to sync, but now I have to reinstall iTunes each time I want to sync either my iPad or my iPod. It's not as much of a hardship as some of the folks are having in these discussions but it doesn't seem...well...right. Any suggestions?

As given iTunes is not currently supported on Windows 8, however this is the approach that I would recommend when the time comes.
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old operating system.
Install new operating system.
Restore the backup to your new system using the same tool used to back it up.
Install iTunes.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
This should give the new system a complete clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

I have updated my iTunes to the latest edition and now my iTunes will not open saying MSVCR80.dll is missing from my computer and that i have to reinstall itunes. I have tried reinstalling twice now and this error message keeps appearing. What is going on?

It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:

Open the Mac App Store and try purchasing Mountain Lion 10.8. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) or better CPU with at least 2GB of RAM, and if it does, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.

I can´t syncronize my Iphone 5 with Itunes 11.1.5.5. The option looks like locked in the menu. I have tried reinstalling Itunes but this is not the solution. Actually my PC runs under Windows 8.1. and Iphone runs under IOS 7.1. Someone can help me, please?
It seems I have solved my own problem . . . well hopefully !! ;-)
I was using a 'non' Apple cable. When I swithced to using the stock cable that came with my iPhone, iTunes can now see that I have a 'Device' and identifies it correctly as my iPhone.

Hi guys. After updating to 7.0.6 my iphone 5s is no longer showing in itunes. Strangley it is recognised by my PC (windows 8) when I click on my computer. I have tried reinstalling itunes and making sure the drivers are up to date, but this has made no difference. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any advice? Thanks

My itunes account on windows xp shuts down for no reason. If even try to delete something from my library it shuts down. It wont recognize my iphone and there is an issue with network connectivity and I can't connect to the store. Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

I just purchased a new macbookpro and I would like to put the music from my iphone to my macbook. I have downloaded from iTunes, however it want to add ALL music to my macbook.
When you plug in the iPhone, go to the menu bar and select "Transfer all purchases" to move them to your MacBook Pro.

A 2G Shuffle can only be synced with one iTunes library at a time. So if you are trying to connect and use the Shuffle with a new computer/iTunes library, you'll need tor restore it before you can begin syncing or manualy adding content to it from the new library.
So go ahead and restore the iPod and then configure it for manual management. See this article for more details on configuring the shuffle for manual management.
