I have to reinstall keyboard light on my GT 70 laptop just too many times

I mean this happened at least 5 times, something went wrong, my computer shut down or something and my light did not come up anymore
I don't remember this issue by other laptops like HP brand for example. I never needed to re install core drivers at all, they always worked.
But how can a core driver be overwritten or deleted if you suddenly shut down the computer. Just wonder, MSI is the first laptop that this is happening on.
I really had to install the keyboard lights driver at least 5 or 6 times in the last 6 months.

Did you ever try doing the EC reset procedure to fix the issue?

  • Have I removed and re-installed iMovie too many times?

iMovie09 won't show anything in my Preview Browser when I upload a video clip or a still image. Could it be that I've installed it too many times on my computer? It worked orginally when I installed it and used it with an Aperture demo, but when I tried to use it with iPhoto, it wouldn't work. So I removed Aperture and iMovie and re-installed iMovie but it didn't work then and hasn't after two more removals and re-installations. Could I have used up the number of times I can install iMovie using a 5-time "Family Pack"? When I install the iLife09 disk, iMovie and iPhoto are greyed out and cannot be selected.
    Thanks for the help.

I took my computer into the Genius Bar today and three guys couldn't figure out why iMovie wouldn't show me any previews. So I brought it home, backed it up again and got ready to erase the hard drive and start over. But first I decided to just reinstall SnowLeopard and upgrade it to v. 10.6.3 v1.1 and then did a full Software Update after that, and guess what. iMovie now works the way it's supposed to. It didn't matter how many times I'd reinstalled iMovie and upgraded iMovie. It was a OSX system problem. Take heart, all you SnowLeopard users.

On Calendar, I have tried to change the "Day starts at" and "Day ends at" many times however, it just does not seem to change. Please help.
This for Calendar on my Mac which of course effects my iPhone and iPad.
I don't need to see the hours from 1 am to 6 am
    Please help!

Well, assuming all of the above, Notifications, etc., it just might be time for a visit to the Apple tore genius center for a session with the techs.  See if it is a fault in the hardware or just an iOS reinstall is the answer.
One more thing you could try, backup so you have a record of content, then restore to factory conditions be an Erase All Contents and Settings.  Then restore from the backup you just made.  That has helped some with WiFi problems, may be it would work with your problems.
But with that behavior of another app with problems, the geniuses looks like a less stressful thing to do.

  • TS3682 I have tried to restore me iPod that is disabled due to typing in the wrong password too many times. iTunes keeps giving me a box saying that it can't connect because I need to type in the passcode on the iPod (which I can't) what do I do now?

I have followed the steps provided by apple to restore an iPod touch. It is disabled due to having the wrong password entered too many times. When I get part way through the restore process on my computer it pops up a box saying that it can't restore until I enter the passcode into the iPod. I have tried this same process over 5 times now and keep gutting the same results. It is my kids iPod and he has only had it since September. Someone please help me before I throw the thing through the window and my kid strangles me!!! Thanks!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • HT1212 I have a new iPhone 5c, I have an old iTunes acct. had to reset my password because I can't remember my old password? I guess I tried too many times and now it says it is disabled. How do I fix this?

I have a new IPhone 5c, and an old iTunes acct. I changed my password because I forgot it. I guess I tried it too many times and now my apple iTunes is disabled. How do I fix that?

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
(For info you've posted in the Using iPad forum.)

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.

  • Just upgraded and iPhoto said it has to upgrade library but keeps freezing. Have tried it too many times now and I need those photos ASAP  HELP!!

Just upgraded and iPhoto said it has to upgrade library but keeps freezing. Have tried it too many times now and I need those photos ASAP  HELP!!

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • App Store drawing: "You have entered too many times today"

There's a limit of 25 entries per day in the current App Store giveaway/drawing/whatever, but on the second try filling out the webform (http://www.apple.com/itunes/billion-app-countdown/entryform/), I get a "you have entered too many times today" error. Anyone else get this?
Edit: I just tried it again and it worked. Apparently you have to wait five minutes or so between entries, which is reasonable. I guess they didn't have the budget to write two different error messages.

Yes. There are instances when you will get that error. That is if you have added to many credit cards on your account. You can contact email support for more information.

Use the sim tool that came with your phone or a safety pin and just insert it into the hole at the side of the sim tray and push it in and then pull it out.  It is no more difficult than that and then just close it again.
